In this paper, we proposed a novel method (CompUX LSA ) to predict user experience from reviews sentences using Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA). Human uses words to represent or express thoughts. The “word of mouth” could influence others especially through web and social media, which are the common communication tools today. We believe that reviews can be categorized according to user experiences since reviews are the thoughts and opinions from users after they have used certain products. In our works, we intend to mine and predict the user experience of expressed through reviews according to the five behavioral variables: Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Affects towards Technology, Social Influence and Trust. We apply the state of the art method: Latent Semantic Analysis to build a semantic space and map review sentences to the most similar variable measurement items that adapted from Human Behavior Project to predict their experiences. Besides that, we also proposed a rule based template, SubEx to extract features of subject-experience from reviews to enhance the performance. Based on the results obtained, CompUX LSA had achieved average F-measure of 0.24.

Pay-how-you-drive(PHYD), which has already been recognized as the most promising differentiated commercial vehicle insurance product in usage based insurance(UBI), can objectively analyze the risk level of each insured vehicle by analyzing its driving style from raw data collected by on-board diagnosis(OBD) module set up on it. Finding certain kinds of driving styles, or risk modes from raw data for insured vehicles, is very important for the insurance companies to get a rough understand of the types of each contract holders and to do the preliminary premium actuary work. Consider that there is a lack of theory basis for driving styles, or risk modes identification and their effect analysis in quantity, in this paper, in order to quantify the effect of different risk modes, and consider that the effect evaluation might be under fuzzy or uncertainty conditions, a fuzzy risk mode and effect analysis(FRMEA) method which can be applied in the early stage of premium actuary for PHYD insurance product is proposed, by setting 4 key indices including occurrence, severity, testability and preventability, and by referencing the grading results from a group of experts, the effect grades of several different risk modes have been given and described via fuzzy triangular numbers.

In this paper, a new impedance control method based on pressure distribution for wearable assist robot on multi-joint part is proposed. Generally, assist robots were designed based on assisting for a simple joint body part of the user such as elbow, knee, limb and so on. These robots can be similar structure to the assisted body part, and they can follow the user's movements. On the other hand, it is difficult that the robots have the similar structure to the multi-joint body part of the user such as shoulder, waist, back part and so on. Therefore, the robots assisting for multi-joint body part cannot follow the user's movements and it can cause unforeseen contact state between the user and the robots. There are conventional methods to follow the user's movements on a simple joint body part based on joint torque between the user and the robots, however, they have not been evaluated on the robots for multi-joint body parts. In addition, because torque is resultant force of physical contact force occurred between the user and robot, the direct contact state have not been considered. In this paper, a conventional method based on torque is implemented to the multi-joint robot for assisting back part of the body. Also, a new impedance control based on physical contact forces measured by pressure sensors is proposed. The conventional method and the proposed method are evaluated based on maximum value of contact forces on computer simulations.

We describe the approach of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) Robotics engineering C Squad (WRECS)to the utility vehicle driving task at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Robotics Challenge (DRC) Trials held in December 2013. WRECS was one of only seven teams to attempt the driving task, and the only team with an ATLAS robot to successfully drive the course. We implement a supervisory control system that allows the robot to control the speed of the vehicle, while the operator helps the robot steer the vehicle. Two different methods of estimating speed, using the LIDAR and stereo cameras, are presented, and the performance of the robot at the Trials is discussed. © 2015 ieee.

Pulse electric field exposures on human cancer cells have shown an alternative towards drug free wound treatments. The earlier investigations have shown interesting findings on usage of this electrical means generated via high voltage pulse generator system. Therefore, the aim of the study is to investigate the effect of pulse electric field on the migration properties of colon cell line HT29 towards the enhancement of wound healing process. The HT29 cells were treated with an electric field of 600V/cm for 500us after a wound model was created in vitro with the aid of a sterile needle. A time-lapse live imaging of the migration properties of the HT29 cell was carried out using integrated devices for live cell imaging that was equipped with CCD camera, temperature and CO2 controllers and an inverted microscope. The result of cell migration properties showed that electroporation has an influence on migration speed of HT29 cell. The electroporated cells were found to close the wound completely in 105 minutes, at an average migration speed of 0.50 μm/min. Whereas the non-electroporated cells closed the wound in 240 minutes, at an average migration speed of 0.24 μm/min. Revealed by the live video microscopy, electroporation was also found to increase the proliferation rate of the HT29 cells. The cells in both treated and control collectively migrate in the direction of the wound closure. Thus, this can further be investigated for the use of pulse electric field in facilitating wound healing process.

We introduce a novel cloud storage service named Uspace supporting the concept of user-defined collaborative workspace which provides the functionality of inviting unregistered people as group members and assigning appropriate access rights to them. Uspace is developed by extending the Swift storage service included in the OpenStack cloud computing system. In addition, Uspace provides a concurrency control service for coordinating resource accesses which is necessary for collaborative applications. As one of applications utilizing the Uspace service, we also present an Android application UspaceApp equipped with the features of shared whiteboards, group chats and file sharing among group members.

Pay-how-you-drive(PHYD), which is an advanced product form in usage based insurance(UBI) for vehicle, takes not only driving habit and behavior into consideration in its actuary process, but geographical factors, sociological factors, psychological factors, and even meteorological factors as well. PHYD insurance product is supported by refinement and analysis based on raw driving data of insured vehicles, and the very analysis process, which is based on big data algorithms, helps to recognize the risk level of each driving behavior by finding the relationship between them. Even if studies on risk level determination have been done adequately, research on feedback and presenting of risk evaluation results for the drivers of insured vehicles have not been reported much. In this paper, an effective presenting method for different driving styles based on hexagonal eye diagram which can be applied in PHYD insurance based driver vehicle interface(DVI) has been proposed, six key style evaluation indices have been chosen in such eye diagram. Evaluation examples have shown that by employing different colors which represent the occurrence frequency of certain evaluation results in such eye diagram, the hexagonal eye diagram proposed can describe the most representative driving style for a certain insured vehicle, even if there might be style changing from time to time.

The cloud service model intrinsically caters to multiple tenants, most obviously not only in public clouds but also in private clouds for large organizations. Currently, most cloud service providers isolate user activities and data within a single tenant boundary with no or minimum cross-tenant interaction. It is anticipated that this situation will evolve soon to foster cross-tenant collaboration supported by Authorization as a Service. At present, there is no widely accepted model for cross-tenant authorization. Recently, Calero et al. informally presented a multi-tenancy authorization system (MTAS), which extends the well-known role-based access control model by building trust relations among collaborating tenants. In this paper, we formalize this MTAS model and propose extensions for finer-grained cross-tenant trust. We also develop an administration model for MTAS. We demonstrate the utility and practical feasibility of MTAS by means of an example policy specification in extensible access control markup language. To further test the metrics of the model, we develop a prototype system and conduct experiments on it. The result shows that the prototype has 12-ms policy decision overhead on average and is scalable. We anticipate that researchers will develop additional multi-tenant authorization models before eventual consolidation and convergence to standard industry practice. The micro fluidized bed pyrolysis reaction analyzer is an important platform. It is used for experimental analysis, kinetic analysis and the study of chemical reaction mechanism. In traditional mode, the sample is injected by hands, meanwhile the useful sample is single. It increased operative difficulty, which is not able to achieve the required accuracy for the dynamics experiment. In order to overcome this problem, this work redesigned the control system of analyzer's sample institution and fluidized bed. The experiment is used to access the performance of the proposed system, and the results shows that it improved the accuracy and automation degree of the instrument effectively compared with the traditional mode. © 2015 ieee.

Highly distributed NoSQL key-value databases have been designed to meet the needs of various applications in the field of social networks, Web search and e-commerce. High availability, fault tolerance and scalability (i.e. Quality of Service, QoS) of such systems is in conflict with the strong consistency (Quality of Data, QoD). Thus, a new functionality of services, balancing QoS and QoD, is needed. This functionality is referred as Service Level Agreements, SLA) (Terry et al., 2013). We present a system Lorq as a proposal of a solution to this problem. Lorq is a consensus quorum based algorithm for NoSQL data replication. In this paper, we discuss how different consistency levels are guaranteed by Lorq.
