This paper presents a method for two-hand pose recognition based on skeleton information, aiming at the problem of low recognition rate and poor robustness in the field of human-computer interaction by single hand. This method consists of two steps: two-hand positional information extraction and gesture recognition. In the first step, we utilize the Kinect depth image to acquire the position of both hands. The second step is the highlight of the proposed method, it locates the palms by hand nodes, extracts the right hand movement information which is trained by a Hidden Markov Model. This method has been verified by a experimental car controlsystem and demonstrated good robustness in complex background environment.

Video surveillance system is an important system to monitor safety and security for public place. Unfortunately, most of them do not have additional. In this paper, we have proposed an algorithm for detect human aggressive behavior by using Microsoft Kinect sensor. In our proposed algorithm, Cartesian coordinate formula is used for calculate position of body joints detected by Microsoft Kinect sensor. By analysis position of body joints, we can differentiate whether it is a normal or aggressive behavior. Experiment results show that our proposed method has an average accuracy of 95.83% for punching pose, and almost perfectly detected for kicking and normal behavior.

In order to meet the requirements of safety and enhance energy recover efficiency in braking process for electric vehicle, the principle of electro-mechanical composite braking system is analyzed in this paper, and a method for the electric vehicle braking system strategy is proposed, which combines fuzzy algorithm with desired braking force distribution strategy. By embedding the simulation model in the ADVISOR 2002 platform with safety validation and testing regenerative braking efficiency, an electro-mechanical compound braking dynamic simulation model is established. The results show that, the proposed braking force distribution strategy can improve regenerative braking efficiency 62.5% compared to original control strategy, which reaches 42.13% in CYCDDS driving cycle, and achieve the requirements of the safety in many conditions. ·

A kind of the traffic signal two-stage fuzzy controlsystem for the single intersection was designed on the basis of analyzing the urban traffic signal control research status. The fuzzy controller determined the traffic intensity of each phase according to each lane traffic flow and the queue length, and then decided whether to extend or terminate the current signal phase. With the average vehicle delays as evaluation index to measure the control performance of the controlsystem, the simulation of the intersection of four phases was realized using Matlab. The simulation results shown that the two-stage fuzzy controlsystem could effectively reduce the average vehicle delay, and it was superior to the traditional timing controlsystem and induction controlsystem.

This leads to a big trial for the strength of the building. In the process of using the teaching buildings, lights are used more frequently and massively. Meanwhile because of the poor management and the students' lack of saving up electricity, a lot of energy is wasted, at the same time resulting in the pollution for the environment. In order to keep pace with the idea of a low-carbon life, and to provide convenience for the students' study, this essay introduces a new light-controlsystem with artificial intelligence. This system can control all the lights by knowing the distribution of the students, the light intensity, the total number of the students, even the number in each classroom. In this paper, a modification is done in Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) where an alpha parameter (α) is modified. This modification is done in order to provide different gravitational constant, G(t) and acceleration (a) to each agent as trying to improve its performance. Then this modified GSA algorithm is tested to see the effectiveness of PID controller in finding the value of K P , K I and K D of an activated sludge process (ASP) system in terms of computational time. These results are then compared with the computational time of original GSA approach and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to see the effectiveness of the new approach.

Traditional Malay house design is not the crucial element to be considered under the development planning of Malaysia. It is because the modernization and urbanization in Malaysia is most important thing to get entitle of successful country in a few years. So, this approach was resulting in the disappearance of its own identity in Malaysia. This study is conducted to influence the traditional Malay house design in future development resort to maintain the characteristics of Malay design but at the same time to achieve the title as successful country. The purposed of this study is to determine the spatial planning challenge in conserving the traditional Malay characteristics in resort development at Langkawi Island. The methodology that used in this study is adopted a mix method approach (quantitative as a core) to analyses the traditional Malay house design.
