This paper presents a sewing cell based on an industrial sewing machine, and with two robots controlling the sewing operation in real-time. The software architecture and the communication structure are presented. Widely available software and hardware technologies were used to build a highly flexible system for operation and control prototyping. This paper focuses on analyzing the real-time characteristics of the controlsystem. Experiments were conducted to measure the delays in different parts of the system in order to gain an understanding of the real-time performance and to show that the chosen system is capable to make use of the robot's high update frequency and low tracking delay.

Electric torque-loading test system can check the disturbed operating performance of servo system by simulating the disturbance torques during the operation. Using LabVIEW software, the PC software of this loading system has been designed in this article. Based on sine wave, square wave and some other waves, this paper focuses on the generation methods of bidirectional square wave and bidirectional triangle wave. The running performance fits the requirements well and the servo system can be effectively tested with the help of the designed simulation torque-loading system.

pH neutralization is a difficult process to be controlled due to the nonlinear and time-varying process characteristics. Model Predictive control appeared in industry as an effective means to deal with multivariable constrained control problems. This paper does the study of the pH neutralization process of a weak acid - strong base system using a neural network model predictive control technique. The simulation results are analyzed for step and random acid disturbances, which shows that the controller controls the pH within the required limits with less mean square error.

Limited research has been conducted in utilizing telemedicine to promote upper and lower limb rehabilitation using remotely controlled home-based ergometers. The goal of this study was to develop and assess a telerehabilitation system supporting internet-controlled home-based cycling exercise. We designed an interface to control cycling speed of an ergometer from a remote server via Internet. The evaluation of the interface included consecutive transmission of 7 different cycling speed levels, each level of 2-minute duration. Overall, the mean difference between remotely setup and actual cycling speed was 0.002+/-0.03 miles/hour. Our evaluation demonstrated high fidelity of the proposed system and reliability of controlling individualized exercise prescription for home-based cycling equipment via Internet.

In today's world, there is a strong need for sharing big data for collaboration. However, privacy and security remains a barrier especially when dealing with massive amounts of data in the Cloud. In particular, there is a growing need for the data owner to gain better access control over their data. The data owner should be able to specify how their data should be viewed, copied and modified. A dishonest authorised user may illegally redistribute the data to other friends and/or colleagues who don't have the relevant access permissions. In this paper, we address these issues by introducing the idea of SafeShare which controls how data can be accessed and used. SafeShare encapsulate data in self-controlling objects (SCO's) and additionally monitors operations of the user. We demonstrate that our SafeShare system will prevent the user from carrying out any illegal operations including illegal redistribution of data. In addition, we add another level of security on the SCO's by adding a log file and hash for better auditing control.
