In view of the problems that dust concentration sensor information(lower) based on field bus cannot swap and output(upper) network's incompatibilities,in this paper,a workflow hierarchical modeling method with the combination of Unified Modeling Language(UML) based on object-oriented and Petri net is *** on ieee1451 standard,the method has built a deployment diagram of the static UML use case diagram,sequence diagram,and system;by converting UML to Petri net use case diagram,the system dynamic model is obtained;based on Petri net advantage in dynamic modeling,the method has analyzed,optimized and simplified the dynamic behavior of the system,and has confirmed the fact that the model structure has accessibility and boundedness instead of an existing ***,we get the dust concentration network sensor system model which lays the foundation for hardware system design based on the model.

This paper explores how two scientific experiments in control engineering can be performed remotely over the internet: 1) Ball and Plate system;and 2) Water Tank system. The main objective is offering students insights about identification of real processes and auto-tuning techniques. At Ghent University real-time remote access laboratories, which allow students to implement, compile and run controllers remotely from home, have been developed. Students can watch the experiment in real time and effectively use the laboratories full functionality through Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection across the Internet.

This paper describes the design and implementation of a robotic vision system for single-site surgery. The system is composed of a wireless miniature camera robot with magnetic pan and tilt capabilities, and an external robotic arm to guide the camera along the abdominal wall. The camera robot is provided with a set of magnets, and a magnetic holder is attached at the end effector of the manipulator. This way, the camera robot can be displaced to obtain additional viewpoints of the abdominal cavity by displacing the external manipulator. The first prototype of the camera robot with an embedded LED lighting system is described. To properly displace the robotic arm over the abdominal wall, a hybrid force-position control has been developed, which includes a torque compensation module in order to obtain an appropriate orientation of the end effector. The contact surface has been assumed to be an elastic model, which stiffness matrix is estimated with a recurrent least squares algorithm. Finally, an in-vitro experiment to validate the control scheme proposed is presented.

This paper proposes an approach to fault tolerant control (FTC) of variable-speed wind turbine subject to wind speed sensor faults when the turbine is operating below rated wind speed. Both hardware and analytical redundancy are utilized in this approach. The least-Squares Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) is proposed as the Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) unit for the wind speed sensor fault. Single and multiple sensor faults are both considered in this strategy. LS-SVM is also used to estimate the effective wind speed (EWS), which is an unmeasurable signal. Based on the FDI unit, good FTC performance is achieved by identifying the faulty sensors and switching to the healthy sensor or the estimated EWS to provide the required controller reference signal. A robust MPC controller is then designed in order to consider the uncertainty due to error of EWS estimation and respect the physical system constraints.

In this paper an automation system for controlling industrial and building plant using voice commands, spoken in natural language, will be described. This system uses cloud computing services to process spoken sentences and to identify the user's desired request, i.e. it converts voice commands in electronic commands. It also presents a software and hardware architecture that allows the system to be connected to several different Automation Plants, enabling this voice control feature for a larger number of devices without requiring the development of a new control system. Thus, the proposed structure is presented and later it is shown the first prototype that uses this system. © 2013 ieee.

Robots that are to master everyday manipulation tasks need both: The ability to reason about actions, objects and action effects, and the ability to perform sophisticated movement control. To bridge the gap between these two worlds, we consider the problem of connecting symbolic action representation with strategies from motion control engineering. We present a system using the task function approach [1] to define a common symbolic movement description language which defines motions as sets of symbolic constraints. We define these constraints using geometric features, like points, lines, and planes, grounding the description in the visual percepts of the robot. Additionally, we propose to assemble task functions by stacking 1-D feature functions, which leads to a modular movement specification. We evaluate and validate our approach on the task of flipping pancakes with a robot, showcasing the robustness and flexibility of the proposed movement representation.

EHR technology has come into widespread use and has attracted attention in healthcare institutions as well as in research. Cloud services are used to build efficient EHR systems and obtain the greatest benefits of EHR implementation. Many issues relating to building an ideal EHR system in the cloud, especially the tradeoff between flexibility and security, have recently surfaced. The privacy of patient records in cloud platforms is still a point of contention. In this research, we are going to improve the management of access control by restricting participants' access through the use of distinct encrypted parameters for each participant in the cloud-based database. Also, we implement and improve an existing secure index search algorithm to enhance the efficiency of information control and flow through a cloud-based EHR system. At the final stage, we contribute to the design of reliable, flexible and secure access control, enabling quick access to EHR information.
