Detecting and classifying concept drift in data streams is essential for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of machine learning models deployed in dynamic environments. Traditional drift detection methods often apply a single windowing strategy across all drift types, limiting their ability to distinguish between sudden, gradual, incremental drifts. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that leverages tailored windowing strategies to enhance the performance of concept drift classifiers. Specifically, we apply sliding windows for gradual drift, tumbling windows for sudden drift, expanding windows for incremental drift, aligning each strategy with the characteristics of the respective drift type. By generating synthetic data streams using these customized windowing strategies, we train a drift classifier capable of both detecting and accurately classifying different types of drift in real-time data streams. Experimental results show that our approach significantly improves drift detection accuracy and classification performance compared to conventional windowing methods. These findings highlight the potential of tailored pre-training strategies in adaptive systems and offer a pathway for developing more robust and context-aware drift detection solutions.

In recent years, image inpainting has seen significant advancements, with the LaMa model., introduced in 2021, standing out for its improvements in large-area inpainting. Yet, challenges such as inpainting complex geometries, processing high-resolution images swiftly, and achieving realism in filled areas persist. Existing solutions that incorporate diffusion models to enhance realism are hardware-intensive and unsuitable for high-resolution images. We propose a new image inpainting method, Downsampled Fast Fourier Convolution (DFFC), which addresses these challenges. Unlike LaMa's reliance on Fast Fourier Convolution (FFC) for early-stage global context capture without explicit downsampling, DFFC introduces a deep learning-driven downsampling module to reduce computational complexity and improve high-resolution image processing efficiency. This module allows for data volume reduction during processing while preserving global context, comprising: i) deep learning-based image downsampling, ii) an FFC-based inpainting architecture, iii) a high-perceptual-domain loss function, and iv) dynamic large-area mask training. Our method maintains the original model's performance, enhances processing speed, and reduces computational load.

Historical data were recorded in recent 20 years in mining area. But the processing of these small sample data was still a difficult problem. Gray model was considered as a perfect short-term prediction model which had provided a precise output with small sample data, but it was not suitable for and not enough precise for long term prediction. In this paper three models including gray model GM(1,1), evolutional Gray Model(EGM), and wavelet network were introduced and were compared with each other. Then a new neural network named gray wavelet neural network(GWNN) was put forward which combined the advantages of both EGM and wavelet neural network. Morlet wavelet was chosen as the mother wavelet in GWNN building. It was applied in the mine waste output prediction. The results showed that GWNN was suitable for the prediction with the small sample data of fly ash, cinder and coal gangue. Predictions will play an important role in the mining waste management plan in mining area.

As the social tagging systems becoming prevalent,it remains a critical question that how to make explicit the semantics for tags to fully facilitate Web2.0 *** paper establishes a cluster tree based semantic similarity measure for social tagging systems,combines it with traditional statistics based measures into a hybrid one,tailors the hybrid measure according to the effectiveness requirement of intelligent search application,and presents a case study using the empirical data retrieved from *** *** to the traditional statistics based measures,our hybrid measure is capable of evaluating similarities between random tags even not co-occurred,can better reflect the structural influence of the network of tag co-occurrence,and is feasible for applications like intelligent search in user-centric Web2.0 environment.

The popularity of stroke-based image/video appearance editing is increasing in image processing field because of the intuitive,easy-to-control interactive *** this paper,we propose a new approach to editing natural image that adopts a stroke-based *** our framework,the user paints a few simple brush strokes on region of interest and specifies edit value on each *** constraints are propagated to the rest of the image by building an energy minimization formulation under the policy that pixels with similar appearance should receive similar *** this paper,we design a new energy minimization formula which can be solved by a linear sparse matrix *** than implying a global affinity of spatial locality and appearance differences in the formula,an efficient region-based matting affinity is used to measure the similarity of pixel pairs,which especially works well in editing fuzzy *** results show the effectiveness of our method,which is applicable for a variety of adjustments commonly performed in the digital darkroom.

The third party IT service providers with multi brand service abilities maintain the competitive advantage over single original equipment manufacturers. It’s a professional and efficient way to select a suitable service from each type of services to form a unified system of "one-stop" service for the user. DGSS method is presented to match services’ QoS with users’ QoS requirements. A key challenge is how to enhance the efficiency of D-GSS method. Therefore, an improved discrete group search service(ID-GSS) is presented in this paper. The framework is mainly based on the producer–scrounger-ranger model. A mincost function is presented in this paper to help all members in the group to find their respective approximate optimal solutions at each iteration more quickly. Thus ID-GSS has faster convergence speed than D-GSS. We study the convergence of ID-GSS method through verification and simulations.

With the popularity of mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, users are used to obtain information using mobile applications. In the computer era, users were used to visiting Web pages using browsers. Meanwhile, users could add bookmarks of visited Web pages and shared them with others using hyperlinks as known as URLs. However, there are no natural hyperlinks for mobile apps, so users fail to snapshot mobile applications' contents and share them with others. In this paper, we present a record-replay based snapshot framework for Android applications that addresses these problems. When users are using mobile applications, our system transparently tracks the pages jump processes. For those pages that need to execute actions, such as clicking on buttons, filling contents in input box,we also record such actions. When users are interested in visiting pages, they can click the snapshot button and our system will record all useful information as a snapshot. Afterwards, users just need to select a snapshot to open, and our system will properly replay recorded page jump procedures and actions. We have implemented the snapshot system in Android platform. Our evaluation shows that our snapshot system achieves comparative performance and provides good user experience.

Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor-based clusters offer high compute and memory performance for parallel workloads and also support direct network access. Many real world applications are significantly impacted by network characteristics and to maximize the performance of such applications on these clusters, it is particularly important to effectively saturate network bandwidth and/or hide communications latency. We demonstrate how to do so using techniques such as pipelined DMAs for data transfer, dynamic chunk sizing, and better asynchronous progress. We also show a method for, and the impact of avoiding serialization and maximizing parallelism during application communication phases. Additionally, we apply application optimizations focused on balancing computation and communication in order to hide communication latency and improve utilization of cores and of network bandwidth. We demonstrate the impact of our techniques on three well known and highly optimized HPC kernels running natively on the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor. For the Wilson-Dslash operator from Lattice QCD, we characterize the improvements from each of our optimizations for communication performance, apply our method for maximizing concurrency during communication phases, and show an overall 48% improvement from our previously best published result. For HPL/LINPACK, we show 68.5% efficiency with 97 TFLOPs on 128 Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors, the first ever reported native HPL efficiency on a coprocessor-based supercomputer. For FFT, we show 10.8 TFLOPs using 1024 Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors on the TACC Stampede cluster, the highest reported performance on any Intel Architecture-based cluster and the first such result to be reported on a coprocessor-based supercomputer.

Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)allow vehicles to generate and broadcast messages to inform nearby vehicles about road *** propose a multi-hop announcement scheme for VANETs which supports message broadcasting and *** this scheme,we propose two algorithms to evaluate the reliability of messages and aggregate the reputation scores *** major principle of the reliability evaluation algorithm is Dempster-Shafter Theory and the reputation aggregation algorithm is a variant of weighted averaging *** balance the message coverage area and the cost of forwarding messages,we also provide a message forwarding *** proposed multi-hop scheme offers satisfactory robustness and preserves privacy *** importantly,the multi-hop scheme not only guarantees better message flexibility,but also can generate more satisfactory message drop *** addition,in the message forward criterion of our multi-hop scheme,it is up to vehicles(i.e.,user friendly)to regulate the trade-off between the message utility rate and the maximal message broadcasting bandwidth,based on their real needs.
