In the context of the overall transportation industry moving towards sustainable development, how to promote the sustainable development of highway construction projects by improving the overall level of highway landscape is a problem that highway builders need to think about and solve. This paper selects the Wudu-Jiuzhaigou section of the G8513 Pingmian Highway as the research project and takes the local elements as the entry point to analyze and sort out the classification and characteristics of the local elements. The representative local elements contained in the natural and cultural resources of the project location are extracted. The application ideas and techniques of local elements in highway landscape shaping are summarized. Then, typical application examples are introduced, and finally the role of local elements in promoting sustainable development of highways is summarized and prospected.

This research aims to explore the method of health monitoring for operational subway structures based on point cloud data. Utilizing advanced ground-based 3D laser scanning technology, precise point cloud data of the operational subway structure has been successfully obtained. Through in-depth analysis and processing of this data, key geometric information and features of the subway structures are extracted. The lining deformation, cracks, and other potential defects in the subway structures are accurately identified through point cloud data. Through application verification on actual operational subway lines, this method demonstrates outstanding detection performance and reliability, providing robust support for the health assessment of subway structures. The method boasts advantages such as high precision, efficiency, and non-contact characteristics, allowing for more accurate detection of subtle changes in subway structures. It can rapidly acquire a large amount of data, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of detection. As the service life of industrial building structures increases and they are subjected to complex loads for a long time, it is inevitable for them to suffer damage. Neglecting such damage for a long period of time can lead to structural failure or even collapse, and the safety and durability of the structures urgently require resolution. The harsh working environment and complex load conditions of industrial buildings limit the application of monitoring technology in the field of industrial engineering diagnosis and treatment. Due to the progress of the new generation of diagnostic technology, intelligent monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and diagnosis technology based on expert knowledge and data-driven integration will become an important research direction for industrial building diagnosis and treatment. This study is based on passive wireless sensing technology and focuses on the monitoring of industrial building structures using passive wireless sensing systems. The accuracy target of 3% was achieved, and the feasibility of passive sensing technology was verified. Over the long term, this study will promote the application of passive wireless sensing technology in the field of civil engineering and provide newideas for the development of civil engineering structure safety and intelligent sensing research.
