This paper investigates algorithm-driven path planning within Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). It focuses on the application of advanced computational techniques to enhance route optimization and traffic management. In the paper, we integrate real-time traffic data into traditional path-finding algorithms like A ∗ and Dijkstra to address dynamic traffic conditions. The approach we use is a hybrid model that combines machine learning techniques for traffic prediction with algorithmic adjustments to enhance responsiveness and accuracy in routing decisions. We evaluate our models through simulations in diverse traffic scenarios to demonstrate significant improvements in computational efficiency and path optimality. This paper lays the groundwork for ITS solutions that leverage real-time data. It provides more reliable and efficient routing, illustrating the benefits of integrating predictive analytics into traditional transportation models. © 2024 IEEE.

In HE-stained images, nuclear segmentation and classification are critical tasks for disease diagnosis and prognosis, which is of great significance [1]. The high intraclass morphological variability and interclass nuclear similarity make it complicated to perform nuclear segmentation and classification tasks simultaneously on HE-stained images. We need to use advanced computer vision and deep learning technology, combined with professional knowledge, to solve these problems effectively. This paper proposes an innovative Hover-net model-STi Hover-net, aiming to improve cell nuclei segmentation and classification accuracy in histopathological images. Combined with deep learning technology, it effectively captures the subtle features and spatial distribution of the nucleus by expanding the sensing area of the nucleus. It has achieved excellent performance on several cancer-type data sets. © 2024 IEEE.

This research investigates the application of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to improve interoperability in Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) systems. We constructed a comprehensive GNN model that analyzes graph-structured data to identify patterns and enhance data integration and communication. Using datasets from VR and AR applications, our model achieved an accuracy of 89%, a 30% reduction in latency, and a 45% improvement in user satisfaction. The results indicate that GNNs are a powerful tool for addressing interoperability challenges in VR and AR systems, providing scalable and adaptable solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

A method for data privacy maintenance while training machine learning models across decentralized devices is Federated Learning (FL). This paper proposes a solution of integrating the use of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for categorizing lung conditions of people with and without lung disease. The proposed model has achieved a high F1-Score of 97.4%, a high Precision of 93.17% and high Recall of 93. 63 for the Healthy class. The F1 Scores of this study for the Infected Lung class were as follows: the accuracy of F1 Score was 97.4%;Precision was 94.12%;and Recall was 92.06%. The combining of SVM and CNN model was quite accurate with the accuracy of 97% and the model was accurate in multiple domains of assessment. These results suggest that the application of CNNs and SVMs to the task of medical image analysis constitutes a promising and accurate approach for diagnosing lung diseases. © 2024 IEEE.

An antenna on the sounding rocket is necessary, so it can receive and transmit signals to the ground station. This paper presents the design and simulation of a conformal triangular slotted antenna for sounding rocket application. The proposed antenna is intended to work at the frequencies of 0.91 GHz and 2.45 GHz for radio telemetry and 1.575 GHz for Global Positioning System (GPS) channel L1. It is designed on a 0.254 mm thick Rogers/Duroid 5880 dielectric substrate with a relative permittivity of 2.2 and dimensions of 228.6 mm × 304.8 mm. The antenna consists of a 1 ×2 array for telemetry and a single element for GPS L1. The antenna is excited with proximity coupling which is fed to coaxial cable from below the substrate. The result shows that the proposed antenna can work at the frequencies of 0.91 GHz, 1.575 GHz, and 2.45 GHz with the reflection coefficient values maintained less than -10 dB. These three frequencies have fractional bandwidths of 0.85%, 1.86%, and 1.3%, respectively. The 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth for GPS L1 antenna achieves 80 MHz. Furthermore, the radiation patterns are omnidirectional with the gains at these frequencies are 2.78 dBi, -3.19 dBi, and 3.02 dBi, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Natural disasters have been a common concern in many parts of the world. Among various existing solutions to tackle this issue, many researchers opt to develop information systems that could be beneficial for societies to be aware of any disaster and its effects on their surroundings. As many research studies have been done regarding methods, added features, and visualization aspects of disaster applications, a systematic literature review (SLR) can be conducted. The SLR aims to analyze and apprise those aspects to provide knowledge, understanding, and even recommendations for the development and utilization of disaster applications. Among many disaster applications, some employ the Geographic Information System (GIS) as the application framework to present disaster-related information more easily. The result of this review can be useful for people to find and consider the best option for the three aspects of GIS-based disaster application development to improve people's preparedness and construct a proper mitigation plan. © 2024 IEEE.
