With the development of sensors and communication technology, the service performance monitoring system of highway traffic infrastructure based on intelligent sensors has been widely used. By arranging sensors to obtain information such as strain, load, displacement and deformation of highway infrastructure, we can timely grasp its structural changes and health status, which is of great significance for improving the maintenance level of highway infrastructure. However, the current monitoring system mainly uses wired sensor network, which has a series of problems such as complex wiring, high cost and poor scalability. Therefore, in this paper, a highway traffic infrastructure service performance monitoring system based on wireless communication technology is designed by integrating LoRa and Mesh AD hoc networking technology. The system has AD hoc networking, multi-hop transmission, network self-healing and other functions. The experimental results show that the LoRa Mesh monitoring system using multi-hop transmission has obvious advantages in coverage and communication reliability, and has broad application prospects in the field of highway traffic infrastructure performance monitoring. © 2024 IEEE.

he paper presents a design and implementation for a gesture-controlled robotic system that can operate in remote regions. This system can send environmental data through wireless data interchange, which a user can then remotely access to operate an application. The robot, being equipped with advanced sensors and communication modules, can capture data about the environment in real-time and perform monitoring and interaction with the environment. What distinguishes it is an intuitive gesture control mechanism that allows a user to interact with and give commands to a robot using natural hand movements, making it easy to use with increased accuracy. This innovative approach allows users to control and navigate the robot using simple palm gestures, fostering an intuitive interaction with the robotic system. The gestures are interpreted by a gyroscope sensor, which directs the robot’s movements accordingly. Data collected by this robot is transmitted through a sturdy wireless network to the mobile application, where users can receive, analyze, and respond promptly to this information. It offers a potentially significant benefit for practical applications in harmful working environments, disaster management, or remote exploration where direct human intervention is impossible or hazardous. The paper presents technical specifications, design challenges, and a performance evaluation of the system developed, indicating its usability and robustness in real practical applications. ©2024 IEEE.

This paper discusses in detail the wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology, which effectively increases the communication capacity and transmission speed by simultaneously transmitting multiple optical signals with different wavelengths on the same optical fiber. This paper first explains the basic principles and Key Optimization Technologies of WDM system, and then studies how these technologies are applied in the actual optical communication network. In this paper, the key factors such as transmission distance, bandwidth, optical fiber connection loss, multiplexer and demultiplexer performance are deeply studied, and a series of strategies to improve the performance of WDM system are proposed. The paper also discusses the application of WDM technology in various network environments, including backbone network, metropolitan area network and access network, and forecasts the future development prospects. The results show that WDM technology is of great significance in improving the speed, capacity and reliability of optical communication systems, and is one of the indispensable technologies in modern optical communication networks. © 2024 IEEE.

Cloud storage enables users to store, retrieve, and share large amounts of data in a flexible and convenient way. To guarantee only authorized users can access the data, authenticated key exchange is a feasible solution, which provides both user authentication and session key negotiation. In authenticated key exchange, passwords are the most widely used authenticatin factor due to their easy-operation. However, most password-authenticated key exchange rely on traditional cryptographic assumptions, such as the discrete logarithm problem or integer factorization, which are vulnerable to quantum attacks. In this paper, we propose a novel password-authenticated key exchange protocol dubbed PAKER based on Ring Learning With Errors problem(RLWE) for cloud storage, which is a Diffie-Hellman-like protocol and achieves post-quantum security. In PAKER, all computations are performed in a polynomial ring, where an approximate verification key is obtained through polynomial multiplication, followed by the application of a reconciliation function and an auxiliary modular function, a user and the server can negotiate a session key. We provide the formal security proof of PAKER. The comprehensive performance evaluation demonstrates that PAKER is efficient in accordance with computation and communication costs. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The electronic nose (E-nose), a replica of the biological olfactory system, has emerged as a safe and useful instrument in nearly every industry, from pharmaceuticals to agriculture, food quality inspections, and more. E-noses imitate the human ability to identify volatile organic compounds (VOCs) through innovative chemical sensors, data acquisition, effective signal processing, and pattern recognition techniques. As a result, the collaboration between engineers specializing in material science and computer/electronic science has advanced the creation of novel sensors and materials, improved framework analysis, and raised the selectivity and sensitivity of E-nose systems. These advancements have made it possible for several industries, including healthcare, to monitor patients without requiring invasive procedures, as well as for real-time quality checks in agriculture, fresh food assurance, and medication quality assurance. E-nose technology has the potential to play a major role in improving safety, productivity, and environmental friendliness in these industries in the years to come. Considering the data regarding the current and future states of E-nose technology, its interdisciplinary application, and its focus on the technology's advancement, its efficacy is highlighted as a crucial offer to fundamentally transform numerous sectors by providing fresh and efficient solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

In view of the problem that the temperature in northern China is too low in winter, and the outdoor express cabinet can't be opened due to freezing, while the temperature in summer is too high, and online shopping fresh products are prone to rot in the express cabinet, an anti-freezing temperature control system for express cabinet based on App is designed. The system adopts modular and hierarchical design, and uses App(mobile application) to connect ESP8266 module to realize remote control of STM32 single chip microcomputer and remote temperature adjustment. The system uses DS18B20 for temperature detection, and uses STM32F103C8T6 as the main controller to complete key scanning, LCD display, WiFi connection, temperature control and other functions. The system has simple circuit, convenient application, low power consumption and high precision, and has a certain market application prospect. © 2024 IEEE.

The power electronic components of industrial drives are housed in sophisticated environmental conditions as they are subjected to fixed operating conditions. Unfortunately, this is not possible in the case of Electrical Vehicles (EV), as operating conditions vary from location to location and region to region. Due to these switching operating conditions, its reliability is still a matter of concern, especially its processor. The EVs processor controls all the application layers and its faults have tendency to cause a severe road accident. To fill this gap, a quantitative reliability analysis is carried out. Firstly, the thermal behavior of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drive is analyzed using Piecewise Linear Electrical Circuit Simulation (PLECS). Later, a reliability study of the motor controller is carried out to identify the most vulnerable component under various temperature stress conditions using Advanced Logistics Development (ALD) failure rate estimation tool. Further, the reliability analysis is extended by considering the processor fault at the same operating temperature stress conditions. Considering the results, this critical and quantitative investigation is expected to have a significant impact on the EV processor's future reliability and design. © 2024 IEEE.
