In this paper an enhanced method of Hopfield Artificial Neural Network Classifier model is proposed to segment extracted lung regions from human chest computer Tomography images. The images are acquired using computer Tomography imaging techniques from normal subjects and others as candidates for lung cancer diagnosis. A combination of bit-planes of each pixel are used to enhance edges' detection of lung region lobes. Three diagnostic rules are verified as well defined filters of candidate cancerous regions from the status of candidate to false or true positive status. © 2016 IEEE.

Nowadays, cloud computing has become the center of attention in the IT world. It provides powerful computing services to individuals and organizations via the Internet, and enables them to access a pool of shared resources such as storage servers and applications. Businesses of all sizes are adopting cloud computing at an increasing rate as it provides them with great benefits like cost efficiency, since they do not actually have to buy the hardware and software resources, but simply pay per use. The cloud architecture consists of different levels in which each level gives the user additional control. Furthermore, a good operating system is crucial, and traditional operating systems cannot attain all the requirements of the cloud. For this reason, special operating systems need to be designed that can handle the demands of the cloud. This paper will discuss the cloud architecture and operating system. © 2016 IEEE.

The goal of Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) systems is indexing and retrieving images from the analysis of its visual content (color, texture, shape, etc....). They are frequently faced with the problem of effectiveness of retrieving images. The performance of CBIR system depends much on the choice of descriptors used to characterize the image content. We have recently proposed a local color based method called Cell Color Coherence Vector (Cell-CCV);which was considered an effective method as it reflects both color and spatial properties of an image and requires less space and computing time overheads than Local Color Histogram descriptor. In this paper, we refined the above proposed method, to further improve the retrieval precision. Thus, we propose Gradual Cell Color Coherence Vector (G-Cell-CCV). In the proposed method, many Cell-CCV(s) operators are combined using multi-size grid of cells. The experiments were carried out on Wang dataset (Corel 1K) of 1000 color images. Results show that G-Cell-CCV performs significantly better than Cell Color Coherence Vector (Cell-CCV) and other CBIR systems in terms of average precision metric. © 2016 IEEE.

Signal is a physical quantity we can measure like gait vertical ground reaction force. However, the latter are such non- stationary signals require a deep understanding of their instantaneous amplitude, phase and frequency. From this, one can model its stationary and non- stationary part and approximate the noise. In addition, one can practice such features for inter-subject classification of the vertical ground reaction force signals like between normal and pathological. Not to add, one objective could also concentrate in intra-subject classification like between usual gait and gait associated with cognitive tasks for the same subject as this paper mainly concerns. For that purpose, Synchrosqueezing of time-frequency representation is being used to spot its power in non-stationary signal analysis and classification. This technique also helped in developing an accurate detection of outliers within such time series signal like when subjects encounter turning points during walking. All this would help in a correct assessing treatment effectiveness and précising the stage of disease. In addition, this would be a starting point for having accurate parameters in elderly fall detection. © 2016 IEEE.

In this paper we propose a new technique to detect and extract any part that we need from a 3D face. The regions of interest of our approach are the eyes and the nose. Moreover, we are interested in the extraction of the salient landmarks in 3D face. Therefore, in this paper a new method is proposed to detect the nose tip and eye corners from a three-dimensional face range image. Our original technique allows fully automated processing, treating incomplete and noisy input data, and automatically rejecting non-facial areas. Besides, it is robust against holes in 3D image and insensitive to facial expressions. Besides, it is stable against translation and rotation of the face, and it is suitable for different resolutions of images. All the experiments have been performed on the GAVAB and FRAV 3D databases. After applying the proposed method to the 3D face, experimental results show that it is comparable to state-of-the-art methods in terms of its accuracy and flexibility.

technology usability, especially electronic health record (EHR) usability, is a global concern for clinicians. Despite critical user experience (UX) issues, nurses are not vocal about interactions with health IT. The purpose of this project was to identify nurses' health IT UX issues and propose solutions for them. Using a snowball sampling technique, 25 experts were interviewed using a semi-structured format. Three themes emerged from content analysis (1) The Burdens of Health IT, (2) The Voice of Nursing, and (3) We Need a New Vision. Lack of cognitive support underscores the burden theme. The voice of nursing is missing throughout the systems life cycle, and a need exists for new visions of EHRs and training delivery. Solutions include the need for national leadership, modular redesign of EHRs to support the way nurses think and do work, and a concerted effort to incorporate UX methods into health IT design in the future.

Localization in Mobile Sensor Network presents, a never seen before challenge in this modern era. Localization algorithms somehow able to manage to solve the problem in a practical deployment. The following dossier article comes up with an idea to solve the trilateration problem. We propose Fuzzy Based Eminence of Trilateration (FBEOT) that helps in defining an efficient and dynamic mapping of nodes and relationship among ranging noise factor with objects. It is specific in FBEOT, that we design a dynamic Fuzzy optimization localization method, in which the most efficient and powerful node is selected for trilaterations process of localization in sensor network. To confirm this Dynamic Framework, combination of fuzzy optimization & TDOA technique with an efficient protocol is used. FBEOT is suitable in calculating trilateration accuracy factor and also the proposed localization method significantly improves localization performances.

The author has employed the GA, a powerful global optimization algorithm, has capability to explore the search space adequately. Though, the presented prototype is in the initial stage, the author has presented a small piece of result and analysis demonstrates the working of the system.
