Many diseases can be detected via performing the electrocardiogram diagnosis. Although the electrocardiograms can be acquired in the public clinics, hospitals or even at homes by using the existing devices, these existing devices are not tiny enough to carry on the bodies. Hence, it is difficult to acquire the electrocardiograms all the time. In order to acquire the electrocardiograms all the time, this paper proposes a wearable electrocardiogram acquisition system. In particular, the R points of the electrocardiograms are detected by computing the regularities of the signals. If the regularity of a signal at a point v is about -1.5 and it is the minimum around its neighbor, then v is assumed to be the R point. Similarly, the Q points and the R points can be detected accordingly. Here, it is not required to compute the modulus maxima. Hence, the required computational power is very low. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing methods in terms of the required computational complexity.

In this contribution, we propose a novel way of classification of normal and epileptic seizures in EEG signals based on the blending of Kolmogorov complexity measure and Multifractal analysis. Hurst Exponent has been used to model the long run interrelationship and Kolmogorov complexity measure to model the composite behavior of EEG signals. The utility of these two extracted features with machine learning tools like Decision trees, Naive Bayesian Classifier, KNN and SVM-based classification of normal and epileptic seizures with different kernels have been done. Performance results of the combined features from different methods validates the adequacy of the proposed methodology in seizure detection.

Recommender system is a tool that provides suggestions to customers. Recommendations are provided for the products that a customer may like in future or that are close to the target customer. On an e-commerce website good recommendation plays an important role for the seller and the buyer. So far researchers have digged out many methodologies for recommendation that may use explicit ratings or implicit data. Keeping track of customers surfing behavior can also help in endorsing products to similar users. Finding preference levels of a product for a particular customer can provide accuracy in recommendation. In this survey, we review recent developments in recommender systems based on click stream data and discuss the major challenges faced. We compare and evaluate available algorithms and examine their roles in future developments. We will discuss the methodologies and techniques that the researchers have devised for e-commerce websites with their drawbacks and a relative comparison of their performance.

In this paper, our goal is to help researchers by providing an insight about the various mathematical tools and verification methods which can be used in the analysis of Software defined networking. These mathematical tools and verification methods help in formalizing the OpenFlow protocol. We assure researchers that by making use of these mathematical tools and verification methods the formal guarantees in the analysis of SDN will not be violated. So for wireless communication, Vehicular Adhoc Network (VANET) is highly influenced research area that has been developing very fast. Presently this area is not as mature as certain issues need to be addressed. Considering Routing Protocols as an important area in VANET, work has been done in this paper. In doing so AODV, DSDV, DSR and GOD Routing Protocols have been evaluated in terms of Parameters namely Packet Collision Rate, Packet Drop Rate and Throughput Rate. Based on the aforementioned parameters this paper further compares and evaluates the performance of 802.11a interface with 802.11p MAC Interface when speed of multi interface car is varied.
