In this paper,we present a novel mesh-guided texture replacement tool using intrinsic *** system begins with indicating the region of interest by the user's interactive segmentation,then decomposes the segmented region into the reflectance and illumination components using intrinsic image recovery *** that,we generate a triangle mesh to guide the computation of texture coordinates with the interest *** texture coordinates for retexturing are further ***,when the target sample texture is specified,the retexturing image is created by multiplying the modified reflectance component by the original illumination component within the replaced *** demonstrated later, our mesh-guided approach can produce high quality texture editing results such as image retexturing and texture transfer, while the lighting and shading effect on the original image is well preserved.

Linear discriminant analysis has gained extensive applications in supervised classification and dimension reduction. In LDA formulation,original patterns with high dimension can be projected to lower dimension through a transfer matrix which is fundamental to clustering,nearest neighbor searches,and *** transfer matrix is usually viewed as a distance metric. However,the classification accuracy under the LDA metric is neither optimal nor suboptimal because physical datasets often appear multimodal *** paper proposes a penalized scheme for LDA to improve the classification rate by using the information of misclassified *** method is evaluated to be robust and effective by a great number of datasets from the machine learning repository.

A self-powered wireless ultrasonic flow sensor system has been designed and developed from a system level approach in this *** using small-sized hydroelectric generator as the source of power for commercial low power microcontrollers, energy harvesting circuitry,and GPRS transmitters,the sensor is capable of detecting water flow in water pipelines network.A major feature of this sensor system is its power-management unit, able to recharge batteries with energy harvested from the smallsized hydroelectric generator installed in water *** allows the sensor to sustain operation as a general-purpose wireless acquisition device for remote sensing in large coverage areas,where the power to run the devices is always a *** addition to describing the overall architecture,hardware and software of the sensor,the paper also reports on the performance of the module in the water pipelines network,emphasizing the energy issues,crucial to obtain self-sustained *** testing was done in two stages:the first in the laboratory,to validate the management and solutions under particularly severe conditions,the second stage in a water pipelines *** measurements about the behaviors of the sensor confirm that the hardware and software solutions proposed do indeed lead to good performance.

In this paper,empirical investigation results on degree distribution and disassortativity of four open software systems have been presented with the view of reasonable description of software *** make use of a directed software coupling network to characterize and describe the macroscopic properties of four open software *** reviewing of the degree distribution of four open source software and find that the indegree distribution is of scale-free property but the out-degree distribution can be well described by stretched exponential *** then we examine disassortativity of the software coupling network,and draw a conclusion that software coupling network is disassortative mixing in undirected versions, and negative correlation between two classes of directed SCNs has existed.

Point Spread Function(PSF) estimation is a key issue influencing the quality of imagery *** are many PSF estimation methods for optical imagery but few for SAR *** paper puts forward a new method of PSF estimation for restoration of SAR *** setting corner reflectors in the Held,according to the brightness and scattering features,the PSF of SAR imagery can be simulated adopting the elliptic paraboloid model;therefore,the parameters of the model can be *** to the model mentioned above,SAR imagery restoration experiments were carried *** tests show that the restoration quality using PSF that based on the elliptic paraboloid model is better than that derived from the blind deconvolution *** algorithm of the model is simple and the quality of the restored SAR imagery is enhanced. Therefore,this PSF estimation method is feasible.

Face detection is a very hot topic in research application of pattern recognition and computer *** is widely applied in artificial intelligence,video surveillance, identity authentication,human-machine interaction and so on. However,skin color detection has high false positive rate in complex background and AdaBoost algorithm was not satisfactory for detection of multi-pose and multi-face image. So a novel face detection method combined with skin color detection and an improved AdaBoost algorithm is proposed in this ***,it applies skin model segmentation and morphological operators to detect skin regions in the image. And according to the geometrical characteristics of the face,it screens the candidate face *** by the improved classifiers in a cascade structure based on AdaBoost,it achieves more accurate promising regions of *** experiment results show that this face detection algorithm improves the detection speed in both the quality of detection, and it can effectively reduce the error detection rate of single test *** method has a good performance on image with complex *** all,this method has a certain theory value and practical value.

Enhancing fundus images is crucial for early diagnosis and monitoring of retinal diseases. Although CNN and Transformer-based methods have made great progress, CNNs struggle with long-range dependencies, and Transformers face challenges with large model sizes and low computational efficiency. To address these issues, Selective Structured State-Space Models (SSMs) offer an efficient solution with linear complexity. However, standard Mamba models still suffer from local pixel information loss and channel redundancy, limiting their performance in fundus image enhancement. We propose MambaFE, which incorporates localized refinement and an advanced channel attention mechanism to resolve challenges such as pixel detail loss and excessive channel information. Considering that retinal structures play a vital role in fundus analysis, retaining these structures during the enhancement process is crucial. As retinal structures are predominantly located within the high-frequency components of fundus images, we introduce a frequency-guided approach to capture reliable representations of these features, ensuring improved retention of essential information during enhancement. Comprehensive experimental findings indicate that the proposed MambaFE outperforms contemporary fundus image enhancement techniques, significantly enhancing the quality of clinically low-quality and synthetically degraded fundus images, while offering robust support for real-world medical applications.

Large-scale distributed file system is an important technology for big data sciences. Several works so far have succeeded in high-bandwidth data I/O on multi-point to multi-point remote storage systems. However, for easy use by many scientific researchers, high-bandwidth remote storage tools working on a single client computer are preferable. As for high-bandwidth multi-point to single-point remote storage system, there is a study to introduce a high-bandwidth virtual remote storage (HbVRS) tool using a distributed file system (Gfarm) and a UDP-based data transfer protocol (UDT) in long fat network (LFN). In this paper, we introduce a novel transport protocol, named high-performance and flexible protocol (HpFP), to show high throughputs for the HbVRS in LFNs with packet loss. We examine basic performances of multiple streams of the HpFP and the UDT on a laboratory experiment simulating an international LFN. In the presence of packet losses (0.5%), the HpFP shows more than 9.3 Gbps network throughput at any parallelization numbers from 1 to 12, while the maximum throughput by the UDT is limited in 1.4 Gbps with 12 parallelization.
