With the rapid development of cloud computing technologies, cloud gaming has gained wide attention from the industrial field. By executing the gaming software on the cloud and transiting the rendered game scenes back to the client, game players can play games anywhere on any device. However, the centralized architecture of existing cloud gaming platforms causes serious network latency, which deteriorates user experience significantly. To reduce network latency and relieve the workload on the mobile client, we propose and implement a cloudlet-based mobile cloud gaining system design. By deploying the cloudlets in the nearby region of mobile users, we can provide computational resources to the mobile clients and complete tasks such as gaming state maintenance, game scene rendering, etc. The system can also reduce the gaming latency and the workload on the client greatly. We use the open-source cloud computing software to build a cloudlet system and develop an Android based cloud gaming client, which can receive and display gaming video streams, and map and upload the game operations. Finally, we conduct experimental evaluation of our mobile cloud gaming prototype. The results show that our proposed solution can significantly reduce the fraction of network latency.

The article presents an algorithmic model of sound propagation in rooms to run on parallel and distributed computer systems. This algorithm is used by the authors in an implementation of an adaptable high-performance computer system simulating various fields and providing scalability on an arbitrary number of parallel central and graphical processors as well as distributed computer clusters. Many general-purpose computer simulation systems have limited usability when it comes to high-precision simulation associated with large numbers of elementary computations due to their lack of scalability on various parallel and distributed platforms. The more the required adequacy of the model is, the higher the numbers of steps of the simulation algorithms are. Scalability permits a use hybrid parallel computer systems and improves efficiency of the simulation with respect to adequacy, time consumptions, and total costs of simulation experiments. The report covers such an algorithm which is based on an approximate superposition of acoustical fields and provides adequate results, as long as the used equations of acoustics are linear. The algorithm represents reflecting surfaces as sets of vibrating pistons and uses the Rayleigh integral to calculate their scattering properties. The article also provides a parallel form of the algorithm and analysis of its properties in parallel and sequential forms.

To realize the adaptive projection of the projector on a variety of common projection planes and improve the efficiency of geometric correction, a multi-geometric function for adaptive correction algorithm is proposed. It uses the feature points to automatically fit out the curvilinear function. By automatically filtering the function corresponding to the pixel mapping relationship and calculating the projection pixel offset, the projection screen is cut according to the degree of correction, and finally the coordinates of the vertex are corrected by cutting the texture relationship to achieve geometric correction. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve the practical application value of geometric distortion correction, such as cylindrical surface, spherical surface, common surface and projector non-projection, simply and quickly.

Sensor as a Service(SaaS) is introduced by providing ubiquitous sensing services along with prosperity of Internet of Things (IoT) [1]. It comprises billions of mobile devices equipped with sensors which can sense, communicate and compute. With more capabilities, devices could share some computation tasks which are used to be taken by the cloud servers or the edge servers. To achieve the most benefit of energy consumption and delay, we propose Dynamic Least-cost Task Scheduling(DLCTS) mechanism for enabling on-demand ubiquitous sensing service by leveraging edge computing which brings compute and storage resources on or close to devices. Through virtualization of sensors required in a region, we could adapt task assignment by changing mappings between virtual sensors and devices dynamically to the movement of devices and incidents. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves great cost performance without paying extra expense of quality and decision-making time. And it proves that the scheme is suitable for densely-distributed devices and large-scaled for multiple sensing tasks.

This paper evaluates the operational efficiency of 1228 health projects from National Institutes of Health in New York State, USA using Data Envelopment Analysis. In this study, a hierarchical architecture for the intermittent control under the minimum transition hypothesis(MTH) was implemented. A two-stage hierarchy was adopted to perform the high-level and the low-level control respectively. The high-level controller performed the intermittent control by setting a sequence of goals for the low-level controller. Goal planning as the intermittent control policy was learned with hierarchical deep deterministic policy gradient(h-DDPG) proposed in this study, which is a hierarchical version of the conventional DDPG. The model successfully learned to temporally decompose a complex movement into a sequence of basic motor skills with sparse transitions, as shown in results of the two validation experiments: the trajectory following and the obstacle avoidance tasks.
