A method is proposed for estimating the source signal and its direction of arrival (DOA) in this paper. It is based on ML estimation of the transfer function between microphones combined with the EM algorithm for a Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM), assuming that the signal is captured at each microphone with delay corresponding to the traveling of sound and some decay. By this modeling, search for the maximum log-likelihood in the ML estimation can be realized simply by eigenvalue decomposition of a properly designed matrix. computersimulation results show that the proposed method achieves SDR of greater than 10 dB regardless of amplitude difference between microphones and DOA estimation error of less than 8 degrees, on average. It is also shown that it can maintain high performance in various conditions.

In research field of ocean wave simulation, especially in wave spectrum and the wave direction spectrum, there are irreal problems of narrow and steep in peak of wave and wide and flat in the valley. In this paper, a spectrum of wave synthesis model is proposed which utilizes the Gerstner waveform of wave spectrum combined with LHM direction function to achieve a more realistic simulation of sea surface. In addition, an improved method based on particle and wave spectrum modeling is proposed. In this method, the collision detection technology is used to process the collision between the waves and the ship, and the collision detection algorithm is used to control the number of excitable particles. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed model and method not only have good solution on large-area wave simulation, but also can achieve the realistic effect of forming waves after collision between ships and sea waves.

A federated cloud environment helps different cloud service providers (CSP) to improve their performances in terms of Quality of Service (QoS). For a federation to deliver its best, the workloads on its member CSPs should be balanced. Overloading a CSP leads to degradation in performance which is absolutely undesirable. To balance the workloads among the member CSPs of a federation, detection of the overloaded CSPs is important. The proposed model, Overloaded Cloud Provider Detection algorithm(OCPDA), uses Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) based technique to estimate the loads of CSPs. Extensive simulation has been conducted which shows that OCPDA successfully detects overloaded CSPs in a federation.

Path planning is important for the autonomy of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), especially for scheduling UAV delivery. However, the operating environment of UAVs is usually uncertain and dynamic. Without proper planning, collisions may happen where multiple UAVs are congested. Besides, there may also be temporary no-fly zone setup by authorities that makes airspace unusable. Thus, proper pre-departure planning that avoids such places is needed. In this paper, we formulate this problem into a Constraint Satisfaction Problem to find a collision-free shortest path on a dynamic graph. We propose a collision-free path planning algorithm that is based on A* algorithm. The main novelty is that we invent a heuristic function that also considers waiting time. We later show that, with added waiting penalty, the proposed algorithm is optimal because the heuristic is admissible. Implementation of this algorithm simulates UAV delivery using Singapore's airspace structure. Our simulation exhibits desirable runtime performance. Using the proposed algorithm, the percentage of collision-free routes decreases as number of requests per unit area increases, and this percentage drops significantly at boundary value. Our empirical analysis could aid the decision-making of no-fly zone policy and infrastructure of UAV delivery.

Hair is one of the most distinctive part of a human body, which is essential for the digitization of compelling virtual avatars. We present a data-driven approach for generating complete and complex 3D hairstyles from a single-view portrait. We construct a hairstyle database which contains more than 2000 hair models. Given a target hairstyle portrait image, we first draw a few strokes as guidance. We then search multiple best matching examples from the database based on our enhanced matching algorithm. Finally, we combine them consistently into a single hairstyle. The generated hairstyles are visually comparable to original portrait images. The reconstructed 3D hair models can be used for many applications, such as hair editing, and dynamic hair simulation.

The transition from conventional energy sources to distributed sources is inevitable. The bi-directional energy trading would play a crucial role in facilitating this transition. The paper proposes an energy transfer framework called Dynamic Battery Charging for energy trading between the grid and the end-user to utilize the battery system for generating monetary profit. Using the proposed energy transfer model the framework finds out the optimal battery charge state for the end-user. To further improve the performance of the framework, the DBC algorithm is clubbed together with a weighted capacity fading based battery cost model. The simulation results on the Ontario electricity market based load test case is enough to justify the utility of the proposed framework.

In order to realize rapid processing and accurate interpretation of big data, and to achieve reasonable scheduling and application of cloud computing resources, this paper proposes an integrated artificial intelligence processing and analysis model, combining Map-Reduce and the improved ant colony algorithm based on PSO. Firstly, it uses Map-Reduce to divide cloud computing tasks into several subtasks in a parallel way, and optimizes and reorganizes computing resources. Secondly, it employs PSO to help ant colony optimization get rid of local optimal solutions, thus improving ant colony optimization and obtaining the global optimal solution. Finally, it adopts this model to complete the fast processing and accurate interpretation of big data. Through the experimental simulation results, this integrated innovation model not only reduces the time needed by big data processing, but also improves the precision of big data artificial intelligence analysis.

But the contextual information could be another major input that affects the performance of congestion detection algorithm. Practically, a context can be used to characterize the situation of an entity. Thus the solutions, those are not considering contexts, may not be suitable for the real-life application. In this work, an attempt has been made to offer a context-based probabilistic graph model. The model is capable to generate a new context and delivers the result accordingly. The tendering and evaluation of water conservancy projects is an important part of China's infrastructure construction, and the evaluation of bids is also a key link in the construction of water conservancy projects. In view of the problems in the bid evaluation process for project of water conservancy and hydropower in a certain province, the proportion of subjective elements is large, the proportion of bid evaluation factors is not fixed, the randomness is large, and the external obstacle factors are large. This paper proposes the use of network analysis in the bid evaluation process. The method(ANP) considers the mutual influence and dependence of each index, and establishes a multi-index comprehensive scoring criteria model for the nonlinear combination of indexes. Based on the model establishment process, the algorithm of ANP evaluation model was implemented using C# and applied to the bid evaluation process, which made the evaluation process more scientific and rational.
