In this work, investigation of a silicon-based tandem heterojunction solar cell was iterated via numerical modeling. The tandem cell was split into a top metal oxide and bottom c-Si subcell, and each subcell was analyzed and compared with experimental data. For the top subcell, Silvaco Atlas was used to ascertain optimum materials for the buffer layer and their impact on the cell performance. For the bottom subcell, a Quokka 2 model has be used to evaluate and compare current-voltage and quantum efficiency curves with experimental data. Transfer matrix algorithm was used to ascertain top subcell optical field characterization. The buffer layer materials for the ZnO/Cu2O subcell that yielded best cell performance are presently TiO2 and Ga(2)O(3 )while the Quokka 2 model presents a good fit with the experimental curves.

In this paper, we investigate channel parameter estimation for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, where a large base station (BS) antenna array is used to provide multiplexing and diversity gains. We propose a Parallel Factor (PARAFAC)-based joint estimation scheme, which exploits the low-rank property of massive MIMO channels caused by the physical finite scattering environment. Specifically, we first parameterize the channel in terms of fading coefficients, directions of arrival (DOAs), and delays, thereby the channel is characterized via three equivalent PARAFAC models. Subsequently, we certify the identifiability of the three parameters of the PARAFAC models by exploiting the low-rank property. Then, we develop the proposed PARAFAC-based estimation scheme, which jointly estimates the three channel parameters using an alternating least squares (ALS) algorithm. Moreover, we analyze the computational complexity of the proposed scheme in terms of the required number of floating-point operations (FLOPs). simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves both a high performance and a low computational complexity.

Visual Question Answering(VQA) is an attractive topic combining computer vision with natural language processing. It is more challenging than text-based question answering because of its multimodal nature. The VQA reasoning process requires both effective semantic embedding and fine-grained visual comprehension. Existing approaches predominantly infer answers from visual spatial information, while neglecting important semantic information in questions and the guidance information between images and questions. To remedy this, we imitate the human mechanism of cross-reasoning about visual and textual information and propose a multimodal cross-guided attention network(MCAN) for VQA which employs a cross-guided joint learning strategy with a gated activation learning method, which can simultaneously capture both rich visual spatial information and significant semantic information. We evaluate the proposed model on two public datasets: VQA dataset and COCO-QA dataset. Extensive experiments show state-of-the-art performance on the datasets.
A novel Adaptive Networked Tracking Control System (ANTCS) has been proposed in this paper. The system first uses a data-based modeling technology named fuzzy cluster modeling to obtain the T-S fuzzy model of the proc...
