This paper presents an approach to the development of an intelligent system for the detection and localization of objects based on acoustic data. The key element of the system implementation is the use of a microphone array that collects acoustic information from various directions. The collected data is fed into a neural network algorithm that is capable of simultaneously analyzing eight sound tracks. Multichannel processing allows the system to detect the presence of an object in a given area, localize its location and, in the case of directional movement of the object, indicate the trajectory of movement. The system is capable of analyzing audio data in real time, which makes it suitable for applications in various fields, including safety, environmental monitoring and automated surveillance systems. ©2024 IEEE.

The article discusses the basic principles of Data Fabric technology using the example of IBM, Microsoft and Cloudera platforms, which opened a new perspective in the field of data management, where it became possible to implement big data in the cloud, which supports the processes of organizing and preparing for use and analysis of huge amounts of information. The presented concept of Data Fabric technology can look like a system for collecting data on transport events and can be created on the principle of a blockchain network using a transport environment modeling tool. The data structures will contain data collected about accidents involving vehicles, reports of vehicle owners, roadside equipment of the transport and road complex systems. Blockchain can be used to create a secure, trusted, and decentralized autonomous Intelligent Transport systems (ITS) ecosystem that makes better use of the legacy ITS infrastructure and resources, which is especially effective for crowdsourcing technology. While it's not enough to just collect and store large amounts of data, businesses need to seamlessly and securely access, manage and use this data to drive digital transformation and successfully implement artificial intelligence. The article is aimed at stimulating further developments and providing useful materials for future research in this area. © 2022 IEEE.

Upcoming communication networks are designed to provide a variety of mission-critical applications, so they are subject to strict dependability and survivability requirements, to meet which redundancy is usually used. However, the effect of its use can be significantly reduced by common cause failures, leading to the simultaneous outages of several or even many network elements. Therefore, an analysis of such failures is necessary. The article proposes a method that takes into account the possibility of common cause failures when calculating network availability. In addition, the concept of a shared risk resource group is considered, as well as the alarm correlation in fault management systems that are directly related to common cause failures. ©2024 IEEE.

Methods for improving the quality of functioning fiber-optic transmission systems based on the next NGN (Next Generation Network) and future FN (Future Network) communication networks using efficient technologies for the spectral division of an optical channel in optical telecommunication systems are analyzed. A new approach to the construction methods for calculating the capacity indicators of communication lines of a DWDM system and the performance fiber-optic transmission systems (FOTS) for guaranteed quality of service QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience) in the provision multimedia services "Triple Play services"and Bandwith on Demand. The quality indicators of FOTS functioning with the use of modern optical technologies of wavelength multiplexing when introducing single-mode fibers with attenuation are considered. Based on the study optical transport communication networks, the indicators were chosen for the capacity of fiber-optic transmission systems and the spectral efficiency modulation formats based on spectral WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and DWDM (Dense WDM) technologies in the provision multimedia services. In this paper, based on the methods for calculating the capacity indicators of the lines of a DWDM system, the issues quality of indicators FOTS functioning using spectral WDM and DWDM technologies are investigated. Further, the paper provides an analysis and calculation indicators of the throughput fiber-optic communication lines and spectral modulation efficiencies based on wavelength multiplexing. © 2022 IEEE.

In the era of development of telecommunication technologies, triple-play services via IP networks in real time are of considerable interest both for operators of transport and on-board systems, and for consumers of services. One of the characteristic features of real-time applications is their sensitivity to delays and data packet losses. Even small packet transmission failures can lead to a significant decrease in the quality of audio and video programs. All this imposes additional requirements on operators of transport and on-board systems delivering audio and video streams to content providers, which should be taken into account in their SLA agreements. The article discusses the requirements for IP network operators to deliver audio and video streams with proper quality, and provides an approach to evaluating the operator's performance when switching to SLA work. © 2023 IEEE.

The basic properties of electronic systems involved in electronic warfare are revealed. Based on the analysis of these properties, it is proposed to consider electronic warfare as the task of maintaining homeostasis in an information conflict. The systematic approach developed as part of the task is based on the analysis of the conflict interaction of developing information systems (IS). Each of the IS in relation to the other participant in the conflict plays the role of the external environment. Based on this approach, the basic principles and rules of building developing IS are formulated. The determining factors in assessing the effectiveness of such systems are the adopted concept and strategies for their functioning. In a generalized form, the optimal concept of the functioning of IS is reduced to resolving the conflict of IS with the external environment in their favor while maintaining the ability to develop. This allows you to avoid fundamental (gross) errors in the formation of the concept of design information systems and correctly evaluate their effectiveness with minimal cost. © 2020 IEEE.

This article discusses the issues of practical implementation of the previously developed algorithms for intelligent tuning of operating frequencies in cognitive radio systems. Two SDR devices of the LimeSDR type were used as a model of the cognitive radio system. An OFDM signal with an adaptive signal-code structure is used as a system signal. Service information about the parameters of the signal-code structure and the number of the frequency channel of the next frame is transmitted in the pilot signal subcarriers. To implement the algorithm, special software has been developed. Experimental studies were carried out with the use of software, where it was shown that the use of an algorithm for predicting the occupancy of frequency channels can reduce the time of operational scanning of the spectrum. © 2021 IEEE.

Digital laboratory work based on specialized hardware and software complexes is being actively implemented as part of the educational process. There is a strict time limit for students to perform a laboratory work, with a large amount of measurements needed. Because of this, it is necessary to optimize the workflow of educational test cases. This is unattainable when using several software products (that are not related to each other and even do not have compatible data exchange formats or protocols) within the same work. This article discusses the existing model of laboratory work, and ways to increase performance of students in the educational process. ©2024 IEEE.

This article uses the previously presented method [1] of joint estimation of range and radial velocity in short-range radars using one ultra-wideband signal with discrete frequency coded waveform (DFCW). The core of the method is the use of the expression of the two-dimensional digital compression function of the output of the radar receiver ADC. The results of the practical implementation of this method are presented in a radar with a generation circuit using a phase-locked loop (PLL) generator, direct digital synthesis generator (DDS) and a quadrature modulator (IQ modulator). The results of the method are compared for signals with linear and pseudo-random frequency codes. The results of the method after using the calibration algorithm are presented. © 2020 IEEE.
