Augmented Reality (AR) has been explored with the objective to assist in scenarios of co-located or remote collaboration. To help understand how well collaborative work can be addressed with AR, it is important to foster harmonization of perspectives and create a common ground for systematization and discussion. In this vein, understand relationships among existing dimensions of collaboration, as well as identify research opportunities, is of paramount importance and thus tools that allow visually exploring information associated with Collaborative AR may be most valuable. In this paper, we present a first effort towards the creation of such an interactive visualization tool for exploration and analysis of collaborative AR research. It allows visualize data of selected papers organized according to a human-centered taxonomy on collaborative AR. In order to get insights into whether the structure was understood and if the representation was clear and efficient to use, we evaluated the proposed tool through a user study with 40 participants. Results suggest the tool has potential towards the creation of a shared understanding and identification of existing patterns, trends and opportunities within the field of collaborative AR.

Opportunism has been a hot topic in marketing channel for long time. It is not conducive to channel harmony and performance. The development of 5G technology provides a realistic basis for big data analysis. In the data age, scholars have to face another challenge that how to reveal the research status of opportunism from comprehensive analysis of objective data, efficiently identify potential hot topics in the field from massive papers, track its evolution path and provide visual analysis. Using 365 papers indexed by WOS core databases with the theme of "opportunism" and "opportunistic behavior" published from 1990 to 2019 as the research object, and uses visualization software such as Citespace to draw authors, institution cooperation maps, keyword co-occurrence maps, etc. The study analyzes the hot topics and development trends in the field of marketing channel opportunism, and also point out the future development direction for marketing channel opportunism research.

In order to study the domestic development in the field of public opinion guidance on public emergencies and forecast future research hotspots. Using CNKI as a data source, Citespace software was used to analyze the number of articles, author cooperation, institutional cooperation, keyword co-presentation analysis, and hotspot highlighted words of 1966 articles on public opinion guidance on public emergencies from 2000 to 2019. The results show that the number of relevant articles in the field of public opinion guidance on public emergencies is on the rise in general. In addition, there has been a trend towards diversity among authors and research institutions, but cooperation within the field is not close enough;"We media", "major emergencies"and "big data"are the research frontiers in this field in the next few years. © 2021 IEEE.

A new coronavirus, eventually identified as COVID-19, triggered an outbreak in Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019. It has since spread around the world. This has also resulted in an increase in the number of publications pertaining to COVID-19. However, not much research has examined COVID-19 in information systems using bibliometrics. The purpose of this work is to develop a model for visualising COVID-19 research in information systems using bibliometric data. We did a brief survey of the literature in this study, followed by an analysis of related work. We anticipate that our proposed model will aid future researchers who wish to undertake bibliometric visualisations utilising it.

Academic collaboration has become one of the topics of large-scale social network analysis. The information extracted from academic collaboration also shows the contextual value in combination with other data. For academic collaborative social networks with intricate collaborative relationships, previous research methods mainly focused on network structure and community discovery, lacking in mining the characteristics of relationships in collaborative networks. There were some limitations in the research perspective. In this work, we propose a collaborative relationship representation method that is more suitable for academic collaborative social networks. It marks the attribute characteristics of nodes in collaborative relationships and highlights collaborative relationships in visualization. By adopting this new representation of collaborative relationships, we designed a visual analysis framework NcoVis, to visualize academic collaborative social networks. We further visually analyze the link relationship groups guided by nodes, and explore the potential representation of the structure and attribute characteristics of link relationships, so that analysts can explore the theme and structural change characteristics of link relationships, communities and the whole network in collaborative social networks. To prove the proposed framework, we conducted a case study on the academic collaboration literature data set, and analyzed the questionnaire with Likert scale through the user evaluation experiment, which verified the effectiveness of our method and the practicability of NcoVis. © 2022 IEEE.

Covid-19 is an ongoing pandemic, caused by the Acute Respiratory Disease Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus first appeared in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The World Health Organization announced the Public Health Emergency of International Concern on COVID-19 on January 30, 2020, and announced the epidemic on March 11, 2020. Due to high number of death cases the COVID-19 becames a deadliest pandemics in the history. The main aim of this work is to convey the analysis of various current vaccination programs around the globe by performing Exploratory data analysis on the scraped data present on the web. In the result analysis, the model visualizes and showcases the caused by Covid in different countries through the last one year and the progress of the vaccination program in various countries around the world. The result analysis shows that United States, United Kingdom, England, India and China are the top five country that are vaccinating maximum people in a day and Gabraltar have the most people vaccinated as compared to others. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The CREATE Supervisory Controls and data Acquisition (SCADA) project is an industry driven initiative brought about by three colleges, working with an industry utility partner. The project began in July 2019 with the goal of integrating 21st century SCADA technology into existing energy education programs. The project delivered both in-person and online faculty professional development for 28 faculty representing 17 U.S. states. Products produced and distributed through the project network include a SCADA job task analysis, curriculum modules, control board trainers and lab activities, computer-based labs, and a web based open-source SCADA platform. The SCADA open-source platform allows colleges to connect their renewable energy generating systems and provide analytical training to their students using their own data, along with data from other regions and simulation sets. This resource will foster student engagement and ownership of learning through generation, visualization, and analysis of long term and large data sets. This study demonstrates the value of collaboration between multiple academic institutions, and how educational programs can benefit from collaboration with industry partners. © American Society for Engineering Education, 2022.

Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) have become increasingly popular for addressing environmental and societal challenges in urban areas while providing human well-being and biodiversity benefits. A web-based application, to attain the desired optimization and evaluation of such proposed solutions, is of considerable importance. In this work, we introduce the "euPOLIS visualization Platform". This platform provides an innovative solution for monitoring the spatiotemporal impact of NBS on the urban environment and the well-being of citizens. The platform facilitates the ability of users to explore, comprehend, and evaluate the proposed solutions, through 2D and 3D views of the city environment, enriched with temporal data provided by the system (e.g., simulations and sensor information analysis). Deployed tools offer a dynamic interface that is adaptable to the user's requirements and possesses the ability to display a range of information, stored within a data Management System, including measurements from meteorological and air pollution monitoring stations, and advanced analytical, numerical, and time-based data. The results of the platform's analysis will be of great value to stakeholders, such as policymakers and urban planners, interested in understanding the effectiveness of NBS interventions in promoting sustainable urban development and enhancing citizens' quality of life. The euPOLIS visualization Platform (eVP) aims to offer complete and easily accessible means of monitoring the effects of NBS on the urban environment and human well-being, by leveraging and combining cutting-edge technologies into one state-of-theart platform. © 2023 SPIE.

Kernel density visualization (KDV) is a commonly used visualization tool for many spatial analysis tasks, including disease outbreak detection, crime hotspot detection, and traffic accident hotspot detection. Although the most popular geographical information systems, e.g., QGIS, and ArcGIS, can also support this operation, these solutions are not scalable to generate a single KDV for datasets with million-scale data points, let alone to support exploratory operations (e.g., zoom in, zoom out, and panning operations) with KDV in near real-time (< 5 sec). In this demonstration, we develop a near real-time visualization system, called KDV-Explorer, that is built on top of our prior study on the efficient kernel density computation. Participants will be invited to conduct some kernel density analysis on three large-scale datasets (up to 1.3 million data points), including the traffic accident dataset, crime dataset and COVID-19 dataset. We will also compare the performance of our solution and the solutions in QGIS and ArcGIS.

Narrative sensemaking is a fundamental process to understand sequential information. Narrative maps are a visual representation framework that can aid analysts in this process. They allow analysts to understand the big picture of a narrative, uncover new relationships between events, and model connections between storylines. As a sensemaking tool, narrative maps have applications in intelligence analysis, misinformation modeling, and computational journalism. In this work, we seek to understand how analysts construct narrative maps in order to improve narrative map representation and extraction methods. We perform an experiment with a data set of news articles. Our main contribution is an analysis of how analysts construct narrative maps. The insights extracted from our study can be used to design narrative map visualizations, extraction algorithms, and visual analytics tools to support the sensemaking process.
