In the era of big data and artificial intelligence, individual generated traffic data has gradually become the key data source for extracting personal behavior information and travel purpose prediction. Based on the Person Trip survey of residents' travel in Tokyo, this paper uses Spearman correlation coefficient to explore the correlation between residents' travel attribute patterns. In the situation of unsupervised learning, K-means clustering algorithm is used to analyze the differences of travel purpose caused by various attributes of residents' travel. This paper explores the possible reasons for the low accuracy of travel purpose prediction by supervised machine learning methods. Through the visual display of clustering results, it puts forward guiding suggestions for the method system of obtaining residents' travel patterns based on traffic big data, which is of great significance to the development of new technologies and academic theories in the field of urban transportation.

Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) is part of the transaction data set, which represents the digital cryptocurrency asset in transaction-based blockchain systems. The data management capability, storage method and occupied space of UTXOs will greatly affect the running efficiency and the verification performance of blockchain systems. Especially, with the popularity of blockchain technology, the relevant UTXO data sets have been growing, and all the stored data can no longer be almost completely stored in memory. How should the UTXO transaction data be stored and managed at this time, it is an urgent issue to be solved in bitcoin-like blockchain systems. This paper provides a blockchain transaction data management optimization mechanism based on multi-partitioning. First, we analyze the influencing factors of transactions through real blockchain data. The proposed method can evaluate the time interval and transaction frequency factors, and use the received information to realize the efficient transaction data storage. In our design, UTXOs with lower likelihood to be used in new transactions will be stored in the disk, and the other UTXOs with higher likelihood to be used in new generated transactions should be stored in the cache. This approach aims to minimize memory consumption for the transaction data sets, accelerate UTXO access time during block verification, and ultimately decrease the overall time required for verification, leading to efficient UTXO transaction data management. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed optimization mechanism is verified through theoretical analysis and simulation experiments, and the UXTO access time has been reduced compared with state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a new generic sampling classification method based on granular Ball sampling because of good robust noise immunity and possessing properties that can be classified as an undersampling method, called Granular Ball Center-based Common Under-sampling. The method uses adaptively generated Ball to cover the data space, and the sampled data are supported by the centroid properties of the Ball. Unlike the boundary sampling of granular ball sampling, this method mainly uses the center points to smooth out the noise, which not only can clearly represent the attributes, but also can reduce some computational effort, and in most of the time, it can obtain almost the same accuracy as the original model, or even can perform better. Compared with undersampling, it can be better adapted to the task of unbalanced classification as well as non-unbalanced classification. The above can show that the method is able to be generalized without the restriction of specific classifiers and also has a strong adaptability to the dataset. The method can also be effectively used as an undersampling method for unbalanced classification because it is supported by the centroid property, and the method has a speedup effect for most classifiers. These advantages form a strong advantage of the method in improving classifier performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Survival analysis studies time-modeling techniques for an event of interest occurring for a population. Survival analysis found widespread applications in healthcare, engineering, and social sciences. However, the data needed to train survival models are often distributed, incomplete, censored, and confidential. In this context, federated learning can be exploited to tremendously improve the quality of the models trained on distributed data while preserving user privacy. However, federated survival analysis is still in its early development, and there is no common benchmarking dataset to test federated survival models. This work provides a novel technique for constructing realistic heterogeneous datasets by starting from existing non-federated datasets in a reproducible way. Specifically, we propose two dataset-splitting algorithms based on the Dirichlet distribution to assign each data sample to a carefully chosen client: quantity-skewed splitting and label-skewed splitting. Furthermore, these algorithms allow for obtaining different levels of heterogeneity by changing a single hyperparameter. Finally, numerical experiments provide a quantitative evaluation of the heterogeneity level using log-rank tests and a qualitative analysis of the generated splits. The implementation of the proposed methods is publicly available in favor of reproducibility and to encourage common practices to simulate federated environments for survival analysis. © 2023 ACM.

In vehicular networks, handover can occur due to frequent changes in communication link status and transmission distance caused by the mobility of vehicles. Although handover is necessary for maintaining stable communication performance, it may cause interruptions in computing services within the distributed vehicular system. Recent literature has analysed the impact of blockage and mobility on handover performance. However, these works often assume that blockage probability during vehicle movement follows an independent distribution for ease of derivation. This assumption ignores some obstacles that can consecutively affect the blockage probability of the communication link during movement, leading to an inaccurate evaluation of the handover performance. To address this issue, this paper constructs a vehicular network scenario based on a spatially correlated blockage model where roadside obstacles and vehicle movement trajectories can jointly affect the communication link status between vehicles and roadside units. Using this model, we characterize the correlation between blockage probabilities during movement and theoretically derive a closed-form expression for handover probability. simulation results verify the accuracy of the analytical results while also revealing how factors such as vehicle speed, roadside unit density, blockage length affect handover performance.

At present, multipath interference is still an inevitable natural influencing factor for high-precision navigation and positioning. The signal transmitted by the satellite is reflected and refracted by the interference of the surrounding environment, which will cause certain error interference to the phase and pseudorange of the direct wave signal. In order to analyze the degree of interference caused by multipath errors in the signal acquisition process, and compare the anti-multipath performance advantages of the acquisition algorithm. In this paper, starting from the formation principle of multipath signals. Based on the analysis of the code loop phase detector technology of incoherent lead minus lag (EML), the MATLAB simulation analysis platform is built, and then The comparison and simulation experiment of multipath error of sine BOC modulation signal and cosine BOC modulation signal is carried out for two traditional acquisition algorithms which are ASPeCT acquisition algorithm and SCPC acquisition algorithm. The simulation results show that the anti-multipath performance of the ASPeCT acquisition algorithm is better than that of the SCPC algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

Traditional crowd evacuation simulation methods focus on the analysis of individual behavior in the crowd, but ignore the analysis of potential group properties in the process of crowd motion, which reduces the visual realism of the crowd evacuation simulation process. During crowd motion, crowds cause unconscious self-organization due to common destinations and social relationships, thus forming groups. Considering the influence of group properties on crowd motion is important to improve the visual realism of crowd motion simulation. To address this problem, we propose a crowd motion modeling method for group properties analysis (GPA-CMM). First, we build a data-driven group properties quantification (DGPQ) model to describe the characteristics of group motion accurately. In the model, we divide the crowd into several groups, extract motion properties of the crowd, and quantify the features of intra-group stability and inter-group conflict. Then, in order to analyze their influences of group properties, we build a stability and conflict based crowd motion analysis (SC-CMA) model. Finally, we implement a crowd simulation system based on SC-CMA, visualize the results of the theoretical analysis in a graphical way. The experimental results show that the method can simulate crowd motion more realistically. © 2022 IEEE.

Digital transformation in manufacturing has become a trend with the continuous development of cloud computing and edge computing. The production process of firearms components is highly challenging and quality problems in the production process may directly affect the safety of people's lives and property. Thus, this paper proposes a production-quality early warning method for firearms components based on cloud-edge collaboration. Real-time early warning and rapid processing for abnormal conditions in the production process are realized based on cloud data analysis and edge intelligent prediction, thereby improving production efficiency and quality. The cloud edge collaboration framework is developed for cloud training of the long short-term memory models and real-time sample edge acquisition, enhancing the adaptability of quality early warning algorithms under specific conditions and the real-time quality of early warning for firearms components. © 2023 ACM.

This paper proposes the idea of using remote sensing images as the surface texture map in 3D terrain simulation to improve the sense of reality;looks at the tourism undertaking of rural communities from the perspective of empowerment, and tries to use the concepts of capacity building and community empowerment to observe and analyze the living conditions of domestic rural tourism communities, and introduce the experience of foreign rural tourism communities to carry out capacity building for reference. It is proposed that the simulation of solid visual terrain with different heights should adopt the scheme of multi-level precision simulation, and the relationship between the terrain simulation accuracy and the tourism participation behavior of ethnic communities is analyzed. Using the VirtualGIS module of ERDAS IMAGINE 8.7, under the same projected coordinate system, Analyze the reasons for the low-level operation of the ethnic community tourism participation system, and find out the root cause of the dilemma of ethnic community tourism participation. © 2022 IEEE.

Nowadays, there are plenty of microfluidic-based devices, from microfabrication to micro total analysis systems (microTAS) and lab-on-a-chip (LOC). The applications of these devices are very vast, such as inkjet printers, biomedical, environmental, food, smart textiles, and the detection of diseases. Microdevices mainly contain microchannels, micropumps, chambers, and membranes, and the processes are based on fluid dynamic principles. However, there are many challenges in the acceleration of these techniques. Therefore, this research investigates the main flow properties, methods, equations, boundary conditions, control points, and software applications in simulating the microfluidic behaviors in the sensors and microdevices. In this regard, after an intensive literature review analysis, hemodynamic behavior in a microdevice glucose kit has been investigated through experimental tests and CFD simulation. The results show good agreement among CFD simulation and experimental data. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
