The paper is devoted to the computer simulation of polymer composite beams dynamic behavior. The use opportunity of one-dimensional beam models for the design of composite elements instead of three-dimensional ones is discussed. The tree-dimensional modeling is implemented using the finite-element software SIMULIA Abaqus considering the orthotropic properties of the composite material. For the one-dimensional modeling two hypothesis of the internal friction – local and nonlocal – are applied and compared. The Kelvin-Voigt hypothesis is used as a local damping model. The nonlocal model is based on the nonlocal mechanics principals and obtained using the Galerkin method. The example glass fiber reinforced plastic beam with the fixed ends is considered under an instantly applied load. The parameters of the nonlocal damping model are defined using the least squares method. The flexibility of the nonlocal damping model is shown and the use opportunity of one-dimensional beam models for the design of composite elements is justified. © 2020 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

Mobile Ad Hoc network is composed of a group of nodes equipped with wireless communication devices and networking capabilities, which does not need any infrastructure. Compared with the traditional wireless network, the mobile Ad Hoc network is a self constructed, self-organized and self managed network without any centralized infrastructure. The reliability of mobile Ad Hoc network can be improved from the aspects of transmission control, routing protocol, topology control, etc. in this paper, an Ad Hoc network topology control model is proposed. Considering the main objectives of topology control, an Ad Hoc network is designed according to the related network model. the related factors of topology control are synthetically measured, and a key algorithm of topology control is designed by using OPNET The network modeling and simulation tools verify the reliability of the algorithm, reduce the energy consumption of the network, have better end-to-end transmission performance, and effectively enhance the reliability of mobile Ad Hoc network. It improves the ability of mobile prediction and guarantees the connectivity and service quality of the network. © 2020 IEEE.

The problem of chain losses in transportation process of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB)'s PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Indonesia, predicted increase. The main objective of this preliminary study is to build the smart transportation concept of FFB. This concept is built based on problems that are assumed under certain conditions, by integrating automatic measurement of FFB yields, because it is measured using a weight sensor installed at the FFB collection point and proceed to the palm oil processing mill. The measurement results will be communicated by IoT to the trucking station so that the capacity and number of trucks can be calculated precisely. The number of transport trucks will determine the optimal route with the genetic algorithm. This optimal route will serve as a guideline for unmanned trucks to move in harmony according to data input that is automatically read from the palm oil plantation environment, through data communication with IoT. © 2020 IEEE.

In the process of fish processing, the head-tail orientation is the key to realize the automatic processing of fish. Based on the measured light screen scanning to get the fish image. Matlab is used as the upper computer to extract and analyze the fish contour curve. Then the head and tail posture discrimination algorithm is proposed based on Harris corner detection. The following adjusting plate is designed to adjust the orientation of the fish attitude. At the same time, the dynamic simulation of the adjustment process is carried out by Adams, and the key parameters of the adjustment device are explored and determined. The preliminary experimental results show that the success rate of head and tail discrimination is 92% and the success rate of adjustment is 98%. The research results can provide reference for the development of directional feeding equipment in the automatic processing of fish. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

The problem of clutter suppression is gaining importance because of many disadvantages. However, conventional clutter suppression methods cannot eliminate the great disturbances to radar system caused by wind turbines. An improved ridge regression algorithm is investigated to accurately estimate the spectral moment of the weather signal contaminated by wind turbine clutter (WTC) in this paper. Firstly, a weighted regression model is introduced to solve the problem that the strong collinearity of the data in the regression model leads to unstable parameter estimation. Then the optimal regression parameter in the model is obtained by generalized cross validation (GCV) to improve the estimation accuracy of weather signal. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the spectral moment recovered by the proposed algorithm has better accuracy and stability in lower SNR. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2020.

Liver fiber is an intermediate and reversible link in the process of cirrhosis, early detection and intervention of liver fibrosis is of great significance for the development and prognosis. Ultrasound as a one of the common diagnostic methods for liver fibers has many advantages like convenience, great accuracy and robustness. However, it is difficult to get subjective and uniform diagnoses because of the ultrasound images can be inevitably affected by the device characteristics, the interactions between ultrasound and body tissues, operation approaches and other uncontrollable factors. So we proposed a new liver fibrosis detecting algorithm based on the ultrasound echo amplitude analysis and a deep learning to classify normal and fibrosis tissue in computer simulation data. In order to study the relationship between scatterer density and hepatic fibrosis, we simulated various scatterer density liver fibrosis ultrasound image by creating random scatterer field and convolving with point spread function. Compared with the detection of traditional statistical analysis and parameter imaging, we use the data of echo amplitude distribution and image gray histogram distribution to classify the category of the window by CNN. The result shows that CNN can provide a better performance in classification and prediction than parameter imaging. © 2020 ACM.

A thermophotovoltaic (TPV) cells directly convert infrared (IR) radiation to electricity, similar to when traditional solar cells are exposed to visible light. A reliable high efficient Single junction Infrared cell for thermo-photovoltaic application was modeled by using numerical simulation TCAD tool ATLAS. The most potential materials GaSb, InGaAs and InGaSb and their respective Infrared cell were compared and analyzed their various critical performance parameters. GaSb based TPV cells is found to be the best choice among them. The cell optimization is done for operation with terrestrial solar spectrum AM1.5. The optimized Single Junction Infrared TPV cell is allowed for further increasing the efficiency up to 27.31% at black body spectrum (TBB =1300K). Optimization of doping concentration and layer thickness of GaSb cell with respect to Power conversion efficiency (PCE) and External Quantum Efficiency (EQE) is performed by simple successive iteration algorithm. Further, efficiencies at varied temperature range (1100K to 2000K) is also investigated for future infrared application. It is found that up to 32% efficiency at AM1.5 and 35% efficiency can be attained at 1800K radiation in this proposed optimized cell.
