Variable speed wind systems are widely used in Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS), especially with Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIG). They operate within four different regions depending on wind speed. For low to medium wind speed, the wind system uses a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm to generate the maximum power. For medium to high wind speed, the system uses pitch control to fix the rotational speed of the turbine and generate the rated power. This paper focuses on elaborating a dynamic model and control of real power of a 1.5MW wind system based on DFIG. Two-mass model of the turbine and Park transform model of the generator are used. As for the control, it is ensured by an MPPT algorithm without speed control and a PI controller designed based on Taylor Linearization for the pitch control. Performances of the control algorithm are examined through simulations in Matlab/SIMULINK environment, during supersynchronous and subsynchronous operating modes. © 2020 IEEE.

Vitamin C is a common food additive whose main function is antioxidant. So the quality of vitamin C is directly related to the safety of food. This paper based on the analysis and inspection methods and items of national standards implemented by chemical (GB14754-2010). A set of automatic processing system for quality analysis and insepection data of food antioxidant vitamin C was designed by using Access and Visual Basic, intelligent management was carried out for each link. And the data of analysis and inspection are uploaded to the network and saved in time, which establishes a networked service platform for information sharing for user, enterprises and quality management departments. It guarantees the reliability and authenticity of the product measurement results, greatly improve the data processing speed, reduces the production cost, and has good economic benefits, social benefits, public welfare benefits and practical application value. It's a great innovation that in the management methods and means of vitamin C product quality analysis and inspection. © 2020 IEEE.

In order to solve the bufferbloat problem, many Active Queue Management (AQM) algorithms have been proposed, such as Random Early Detection (RED), Proportional Integral controller Enhanced (PIE), controlled Delay (CoDel), etc. Among them, CoDel has widely been adapted by devices at the last mile. It maintains the sojourn times of transmitted packets and compares them to a pre-defined target time. When the packet's sojourn time exceeds this target, it is interpreted as an evidence of bufferbloat and CoDel applies its drop strategy. This paper examines how CoDel performs when instead of packet dropping the Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) marking is applied, considering Reno, Cubic and BRR congestion control algorithms in the TCP flows. The evaluation relies on the Programming Protocol-independent Packet Processors (P4) implementation of CoDel, extending it with mechanisms needed for ECN support. Results show that ECN-CoDel can significantly reduce the number of re-transmissions and properly work with classic congestion controls like TCP Cubic and TCP Reno. For TCP BBR, almost zero packet drop ratio can be experienced, but the queue delay is higher than with the original CoDel. Based on the results of this work, the characteristics of the universe AQM had been drawn in the conclusion. © 2020 IEEE.

The characteristic of the problem, relevance of the paper. At the present time in electric power industry a concept of intelligent electrical power system is realized. A key component of this system is a digital substation. One of the main tasks of digital substation equipment is realization of effective relay protection and network automation devices. Relatively new phenomenon in this field is relay protection devices, which are based on travelling wave parameters measurement. A very important characteristic of relay protection devices (especially for extra-high voltage transmission lines of 330-750 kV) is their speed-of-response. The usage of travelling wave-based principle will allow to limit speed-of-response only by travelling wave propagation time along a protected transmission line. © 2020 IEEE.

Most existing gaze tracking systems are high-cost, intrusive and difficult to calibrate, and some rely on the infrared illuminant. However, such systems may not work outdoor and meet real-time requirements. This paper proposes a non-intrusive system based on the 3D eyeball model, which does not need the exact infrared illuminant and complicated calibration process and allows the natural movement of the head. In the proposed system, Kinect is used to track the iris center and face model of the person, and the 3D information is easy to obtain. At the same time, point cloud registration algorithm is applied based on feature points in the face model sequence to obtain accurate head pose estimation results. In this paper, a personal calibration process is also proposed to obtain the gaze model parameters for different users, such as the eyeball center and angle kappa. The proposed method has good adaptability to the change of illuminant and head movement. In the actual operating environment, the system speed reaches 30 fps, which can meet the requirements of real-time control. © 2020 IEEE.

In the multi-output high-voltage isolated power supply for solid-state switches, LCL resonant network is used to obtain the constant current source on the bus, and the bus current is independent of the load. Therefore, the secondary side of the toroidal transformer needs to use the current input voltage regulator circuit. When the input is a current source instead of a voltage source, the traditional voltage regulator circuit is no longer applicable. Therefore, this paper focuses on the study of dc voltage regulated circuit with current source input. Compared with the traditional linear regulated power supply, switching power supply has the advantages of high efficiency, large output power, small size, light weight and low cost. In this paper, pulse width modulation (PWM) technology is used to control the switching on and off, and UC3843 is used to design a switch type regulated power supply with small size, simple circuit, adjustable output and over voltage protection function. Tina-TI software was used for simulation analysis, and the main circuit and control circuit were built. The current source of 1.25A and 40kHz output by the secondary side of the toroidal transformer is converted into a stable 10V DC voltage source, which verified the correctness of the design. Tina-TI software can be used to analyze and design power supply with different requirements, improve power efficiency, reduce design complexity, and thus shorten development cycles. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Gait—the way a person walks, is a behavioral biometric which can be used for human identification purpose just like other biometrics—fingerprints, hand geometry, eyes, face, ear, etc. Apart from that, gait can also be used for the estimation of an individual’s gender, age group, and age. Age estimation has relatively more extensive applications like in visual surveillance and monitoring, access control to places like shopping malls, airports, liquor shops, public clubs, etc. Over the years many age estimation methods and techniques have been proposed majorly in the computer vision field. This research depicts a broad literature survey of gender and age estimation techniques from gait. Methodical analysis of age estimation algorithms, their classification, different quantified features and representations of gait used, and their merits and demerits are described. We have also presented a separate analysis of various human gait databases that have been developed over the years in this research area. Nowadays, the industry uses 3D Scanners for reverse engineering, new product design, rapid manufacturing, multimedia, architecture, inspection, and quality control. The scanning process converts a real object into a digital format. This paper's essential purpose is to show the use of a 3D blue light Scanner/COMET 3D to redesign a carburetor body. The paper identifies different issues involved in the processes to help future users. COMET 3D does scanning of the carburetor body by which COLIN 3D software is used for measurements, editing, and analyzing of the acquired point clouds data. This paper also identifies the necessary steps to undertake 3D Scanning and part dimensioning for a carburetor body. It also discusses the error/problems that occurred during the process. The applications of non-contact blue light 3D Scanners are many as they can be innovatively used to redesign an existing part, architecture designing, and reducing production cycle time, biomedical and associated applications. This paper's contribution lies in achieving a step-by-step procedure of scanning any three-dimensional object as this helps in understanding the 3D scanning hardware and support software. Based on the medium-low speed maglev vehicle with mid-set air spring, the dynamic model with three levitation frames are established in UM (Universal Mechanism). The performance of the vehicle at different speeds is analyzed. The results show that the dynamic performance can meet the requirements of the maglev vehicle running at higher speeds. However, the magnet current also increases with the increase of running speed, which leads to an increase in the weight of the magnet and the controller, and then the drive unit of maglev vehicle becomes heavier. Then three types of levitation control algorithms are established in MATLAB/Simulink: PID feedback control, PI+P hybrid control, PID+fuzzy control. For the optimization of magnet current, the control performance of the maglev vehicle to the track excitation under different levitation control algorithms is analyzed. The following conclusions can be drawn: on the basis of keeping the suspension stability, different levitation control algorithms have different magnet current responses with same running speed and vehicle parameters. PID+fuzzy control can effectively lower the magnet current fluctuation and reduce the r.m.s. value of magnet current;PI+P hybrid control can effectively decline the impact of mutation interference on the current and reduce the current fluctuation range. © 2020 IEEE.

The main problem associated with wind power system is the major difference between the wind (wind speed is strongly non stationery process) and the demanding electrical energy quality. In order to achieve reliable use of wind energy, advanced control techniques are required. The goal is to develop a robust controller for the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based wind energy conversion system (WECS) to track the desired generator reference speed trajectory whilst dealing with the uncertainties due to the inherent PMSG nonlinearity, external disturbance or the variations of working environment. In this paper, the WECS equipped with PMSG proposes a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm. A nonlinear Terminal sliding mode controller (TSMC) is proposed for maximum power point extraction. The proposed MPPT method aims at maximizing the power captured by WECS, Converges the output tracking error to zero and drives the system states to the optimal operating points in a finite time. © 2020 IEEE.
