Dependability is an essential factor for Intelligent Transport systems, as transport is very important for providing a living environment and failures in such a system can lead to a dangerous situation for the road user. The paper suggests using the effectiveness retention ratio as a dependability measure for such systems. This allows taking into account partial failures. The definition of this measure is given, its meaning for Intelligent Transport systems in few typical cases is specified, and evaluation methods are proposed. © 2022 IEEE.

Vector is the application programs complex developed by the Moscow Technical University of communications and Informatics (MTUCI). It includes programs of the modulated signals vector synthesis named "Vector-VSG"and "Vector-VSA"which is aimed at the vector analysis of modern telecommunication system signals, testing of individual functional nodes, radio frequency blocks, and devices in general. The programs have a similar interface and the same principles of organization and execution. As a result of the "Vector"package development, a description of nine laboratory research performed by students using the Vector signal synthesis and analysis software package was developed. © 2022 IEEE.

The growing popularity and use of the wireless Internet of Things and cyber-physical systems increase the demand for "green"technologies in the field of mobile telecommunications. To be completely wireless, such devices need an integrated RF energy harvesting system that ensures efficient recharging of the batteries and accumulators used in them. This article provides an assessment of the coverage areas of mobile operators in Moscow and the Moscow region by the frequency ranges used, taking into account the power distribution. An experimental study of the RF-field strength of telecommunication equipment was carried out using a log periodic antenna (KM6-600/6000) with linear polarization and a portable spectrum analyzer with an Arinst SSA-TG R2 tracking generator. The results of attenuation of electromagnetic waves of GSM and Wi-Fi bands under various environmental conditions are obtained, which is of interest for the development of effective intelligent harvesting systems. © 2023 IEEE.

The influence of multiplicative noise on the directional patterns of phased and synthesized antenna arrays is analyzed. Multiplicative noise is regarded as a source of fast phase and amplitude distortion of signals received or radiated by the antenna. It is shown that multiplicative noise changes the multiplier of the array. Expressions of the directional pattern of the phased array exposed to multiplicative noise are obtained, taking into account the aperture distribution of phasing errors, as well as a generalized directional pattern of the array with phase shifters. The features of arrays with delay lines are described, and an expression for determining the directional pattern of such arrays is obtained. The features of synthesized antenna arrays are considered. The directional pattern of a focused antenna array under the influence of multiplicative noise is analyzed. Expressions for the directional pattern are obtained taking into account the time of the relative delay of signal reception relative to the central element of the array. It is shown that the obtained expressions for the phased antenna array and the array with phase shifters are also valid for synthesized antenna arrays. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, the issues of theory and practice of multi-position systems for various purposes remain relevant. A feature of such systems is the use of spatiotemporal methods of processing information embedded in wave fields and radio signals received simultaneously in spatially spaced positions. Such multi-position systems have a fairly wide variety and applications- radar radio navigation, radio geodesy, radio astronomy, ets. In such systems the mutual binding of spaced positions is necessary not only in time, but also in high frequency phases. Such systems use information about the spatiotemporal characteristics of the electromagnetic field. including in the ratio of the initial phases of the signals at the inputs of spased positions. The solution of the problem of synthesizing the optimal synchronization structure of multi-position radio engineering system is obtained on the basis of the theory of nonlinear filtering and stochastic optimal control. © 2022 IEEE.

The article discusses the technologies and standards of modern communication systems in terms of transceiver devices structure from analog-to-digital conversion to a stream of symbol decisions at the demodulator output. Structural classification of wired/wireless networks, communication standards, types of signal modulation has been carried out. The features of the transceivers hardware implementation, transmission rates and operating conditions of communication channels has been also taken into account. As a result of the analysis, a set of modulation types has been determined, which are currently used in most communication channels, as well as the main parameters of its operation. © 2022 IEEE.

In digital transmission lines with quadrature amplitude modulation of signals the information is contained in the change in the amplitude and phase transmission of the signal. Therefore, in comparison with other types of modulation, there are more stringent requirements for the level of phase noise of the signal at the input of the QAM-signal demodulator, leading to a decrease in the reliability of reception. This article will consider the requirements for short-term frequency stability of synthesizers of transmission lines, which use signals of multi-position quadrature-amplitude modulation in conjunction with quasi-coherent reception of these signals. The carrier is extracted on the receiving side directly from the received QAM-signal using a carrier recovery device by demodulating the received signal and then its subsequent narrow-band filtration. As a narrow-band tunable filter, an auto-tuning frequency switching system is used. With the improvement in the filtering quality of the demodulated signal, the phase fluctuations of the restored carrier associated with the action of additive noise are reduced, the energy losses of the applied quasi-coherent reception are reduced in comparison with the ideal one, which requires the complete absence of the phase error of the selected reference signal. The approximation of the noise immunity of real coherent QAM-signal demodulators to the theoretical one limits the phase noise of the signal at the input of the demodulator associated with the imperfection of the frequency synthesizers on the transmitting and receiving sides of digital communication lines. © 2023 IEEE.

The study considers the possibility of using optical cables in remote control systems operated in underwater conditions. The operability of the optical microcable design to a hydrostatic pressure of 10 MPa has been confirmed. In order to determine the possibility of using optical microcables in seawater, they were exposed to salt solution simulating concentrated seawater of several versions of microcables. Graphs of the dependence of the attenuation coefficient on the exposure time in water with a salinity of 380‰ are given for all types of the studied samples. Using a microscope, the appearance of the outer coating of optical microcables and the quartz surface of the light guide after prolonged exposure to salt solution was examined. Thermogravimetric analysis and thermomechanical analysis of the studied samples are *** frequency of forced Mandelstamm-Brillouin scattering (Brillouin frequency) in optical fibers of microcables was monitored. The results of the studies confirmed the possibility of using the developed microcables with dense protective coatings made of UV-cured acrylate in systems for remote control of underwater objects. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper provides an overview of the empirical model for the study of meaningful integral assessments of residents of a European city in segment of intelligent transport system. It also provides details about theoretical base and practical basis of social life of modern society. In various countries, implementation of an intelligent transport system makes it possible to solve a variety of new and relevant developments for regulation of traffic flows, ensures a high level of safety for road users and competence regarding traffic situation. The development of a road safety system, improvement of services, comfort and advantages of passenger transportation is a considerable issue in implementing new transport technologies into social life. There is a direct interrelationship with key projects and proposals formulated as part of strategy for digital transformation of European transport industry. In a modern dynamic society, there is a modernization of socioeconomic state of transport directions, deployment of modern transport lines and roads, improvement of transport communications. Moreover, there are many other issues of functioning of intelligent transport systems. Most modern megacities are developing original projects in field of intelligent transport systems, as well as putting into practice technologies for improving road safety, artificial intelligence, communication and computer technologies, corporate portals, mobile devices - everything that is relevant in today's digital society and can be significant in the future. The paper proposes a tool for studying preferences in field of intelligent transport systems. © 2023 IEEE.
