This article deals with the generating of pseudorandom Gordon-Mills-Welch sequences with good autocorrelation properties for use in communication and data transmission systems, as spectrum-expanding sequences, scrambling and synchronization functions. Nowadays, there is a significant issue of pure detecting of signals in various types of radio channel. The proper solution of this issue provides new opportunities in the future research. The most important aim of usage of pseudo-random sequences is the reducing of influence of negative effects of channel and maximizing the probability of detecting the low-rate signal because of the unique form of autocorrelation function. Due to this feature, they are commonly used in the area of radars. The main goal of the article is to find out the exact types of Gordon-Mills-Welch sequences with suitable autocorrelation properties. ©2024 IEEE.

The propagation of a radio signal emitted by a spacecraft through the Earth's ionosphere is considered. The influence of the ionosphere and traveling ionospheric disturbances on the propagation of a radio signal of the decimeter and meter ranges is studied. The following are calculated: deviations of rays from rectilinear propagation, changes in delay time, phase lag, and phase deviation. The total electron concentration and Faraday rotation are calculated in the presence of ionospheric inhomogeneities. The influence of the ionosphere on the absorption of a radio signal, its amplitude, and polarization is analyzed. © 2025 IEEE.

The paper considers the data distribution algorithm that is responsible for how data can be entered into the system or obtained from it. The algorithm is based on the property of self-similarity, which is inherent in fractals. As an implementation model, two distribution models based on sectors and rings are proposed, the geometric dimensions of which are determined from the normalized reliability of data storage systems. The main criterion for choosing a model is computational efficiency. The proposed approach will improve the reliability of data storage and optimize data distribution. ©2024 IEEE.

Upcoming communication networks are designed to provide a variety of mission-critical applications, so they are subject to strict dependability and survivability requirements, to meet which redundancy is usually used. However, the effect of its use can be significantly reduced by common cause failures, leading to the simultaneous outages of several or even many network elements. Therefore, an analysis of such failures is necessary. The article proposes a method that takes into account the possibility of common cause failures when calculating network availability. In addition, the concept of a shared risk resource group is considered, as well as the alarm correlation in fault management systems that are directly related to common cause failures. ©2024 IEEE.

The report discusses the organization of a distributed control system based on continuous logic. The proposed solutions expand the capabilities of cyber-physical systems by increasing their performance and reliability while reducing energy consumption. Promising areas of application are analogue automatic control systems for microelectromechanical and microelectronic devices. The work is aimed at the development of analog computing in the direction of transition to the creation of distributed analog computing structures that continuously synthesize control signals in real time. In analog cyber-physical networks, the temporal gap between physical and computational processes is eliminated. To create hardware control algorithms in real time, continuum logic of interaction between analogue control devices is used. Examples of the use of analogue automatic in robot control systems are given. ©2024 IEEE.

Digital laboratory work based on specialized hardware and software complexes is being actively implemented as part of the educational process. There is a strict time limit for students to perform a laboratory work, with a large amount of measurements needed. Because of this, it is necessary to optimize the workflow of educational test cases. This is unattainable when using several software products (that are not related to each other and even do not have compatible data exchange formats or protocols) within the same work. This article discusses the existing model of laboratory work, and ways to increase performance of students in the educational process. ©2024 IEEE.

The aspects of mathematical modeling of the dynamics of complex processes in complex onboard systems are considered. The structural connections between the elements of modeled systems and their dynamics are formalized using a system of differential equations. Qualitative analysis of the synthesized model allowed establishing new non-local conditions for stable functioning of modeled combined onboard systems. The results obtained make it possible to expand the working areas of technical devices and the devices included in onboard systems. ©2024 IEEE.

The article is devoted to study of influence of changing energy parameter on estimation of accuracy of measuring position parameters of drones by time difference of arrival (TDOA) system through use of spatial-temporal signal processing. In MATLAB modeling of dependences of mean square deviation of radio emission source (RES) position error on signal-to-noise ratio in TDOA system when spatial-temporal signal processing is applied. The description of methodology of building maps of levels of standard deviation of RES position error depending on energy parameter for a system of five receiving points is presented. This approach can be useful in design of TDOA system with spatial-temporal signal processing, since it allows predicting errors received in coverage area. The distinctive feature of technique is that standard deviation of difference-distance measurement depends on mutual location of RES and receiving points. © 2025 IEEE.

Currently, most of the technical solutions for wireless communications and navigation systems prototyping and validation in academic and scientific community employ Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology. However, wider utilizing of popular and well proven SDR platforms, such as USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral), LimeSDR and AD-FMCOMMS boards, is still difficult due to high cost and low availability. One of the solutions to popularize and make SDR wireless communication technology design more accessible for academic and scientific community is the emerging low-cost SDR-platform LibreSDR. Current work is devoted to experimental validation of LTE compliant transmission and reception of reference signals on physical layer, using LibreSDR board. The results of the experimental validation prove the potential of relatively low-cost LibreSDR utilization for wireless communications and navigation systems prototyping with the same performance, as well known USRP boards, among young scientists and students during their education and research in the academic and scientific community. ©2024 IEEE.

The world practice of organizing research, testing and certification in the field of intelligent transport systems and autonomous movement shows the need to create research laboratories. The research laboratory and test site complexes are an important link in the development, certification and operation of ITS equipment and services, intelligent road infrastructure designed to support the movement of highly automated vehicles, as well as in the development of regulatory and technical requirements at the stage of research experiments. The presence of a sufficient set of research laboratory and testing facilities is the most important key to the development of technical progress. The creation of mobile research laboratories is necessary for the optimal solution of problems arising both at the stages of scientific justification and design and at the stages of construction and operation of ITS projects. ©2024 IEEE.
