Enterprise systems are frequently built by combining a number of discrete Web set-vices together, a process termed composition. there are a number of architectural configurations or distribution patterns, which express how a composed system is to be deployed. Previously, we presented a Model Driven Architecture using UML 2.0, which took existing service interfaces as its input and generated an executable Web service composition, guided by a distribution pattern model. In this paper, we propose using Web service semantic descriptions in addition to Web service interfaces, to assist in the semi-automatic generation of the distribution pattern model. Web services described using semantic languages, such as OWL-S, can be automatically assessed for compatibility and their input and output messages can be mapped to each other.

Direct search (DS) methods are evolutionary algorithms used to solve optimization problems. (DS) methods do not require any information about the gradient of the objective function at hand while searching for an optimum solution. One such method is pattern Search (PS) algorithm. this paper presents a new approach to solve the load-flow problem using pattern Search (PS) optimization method. the method is illustrated by various tests on a six-bus system. the time performance and results of PS method are compared withthose reported by genetic algorithm (GA) in the literature. this study has demonstrated that PS is able to provide an exact solution to the problem. the outcome is very encouraging and proves that pattern search (PS) is very applicable and shows reliability, accuracy in solving the power-flow problem.

this paper addresses and deals withthe problem of automating condition monitoring of wood in the transportation domain. Current day condition monitoring applications involving wood are mostly carried out through visual inspection and if necessary some impact acoustic examination is carried out. these inspections are mostly done intuitively by skilled personnel. Hence, it is desired to automate such intuitive human skills for the development of more robust and reliable testing methods. Data resulting from impact acoustics tests made on wooden beams has been used. the relation between condition of the wooden beam and their respective emissions has been analyzed experimentally applying different feature extraction techniques. Combining the usage of traditional frequency extraction techniques like the magnitude of the signal together with famous speechrecognition techniques like Cepstral Coefficients, Linear Predictive Coding yield good results. Effect of using classifiers like Gaussian Mixture Models and Learning Vector Quantization has been tested and compared. In the current case Gaussian mixture model seem to achieve higher classification rates than Learning Vector Quantization model.

Usually, the exact misdetection probability of one SW is obtained by Exhaustively Full Searching (EFS) through the whole error pattern space. EFS is straightforward, but the drawback is complexity. traditional study on recognition and representation of sign language based on the desktop PC have general restrictions conditionality in space and limitation of motion according to the technology of wire communication, and then the vision technology-based traditional sign langage recognition systems, recognition performance has the possibility of change and diversity according to the performance of the camera, change of background (colors) and illumination condition. To overcome these restrictions and problems, we implement embedded-sentential the Korean Standard Sign Language (hereinafter, KSSL) recognizer based on the post wearable PC for mobile and ubiquitous computing. the KSSL is a dialog system and interactive elements in the South Korea deaf communities. the advantages of our approach are as follows: 1) it improves efficiency of the KSSL input module according to the technology of wireless communication and user need not be constrained by the limitations of a particular interaction mode at any given moment, 2) it recognizes and represents continuous the KSSL of users with flexibility in real time and can offer to user a wider range of personalized and differentiated information more effectively, and 3) it is possible more effective and free interchange of ideas and information between deaf person and hearing person (the public). Experimental result shows an average recognition rate of 93.3% for the KSSL sentences and 96.9% for the KSSL words with significant, dynamic and continuous the KSSL.
