In this paper we present the results of the Argumentative Text Understanding for AI Debater Challenge held by the 10th CCF international conference on Natural Language Processing and Chinese computing (NLPCC2021), and introduce the related datasets. We organize three tracks to handle the argumentative texts in different scenarios, namely, supporting material identification (track 1), argument pair identification from online forum (track 2) and argument pair extraction from peer review and rebuttal (track 3). Each track is equipped with its distinct dataset and baseline model respectively. In total, 110 competing teams register for the challenge, from which we received 54 successful submissions. In this paper, we will present the results of the challenge and a summary of the systems, highlighting commonalities and innovations among participating systems. Datasets and baseline models of the Argumentative Text Understanding for AI Debater Challenge have been already released and can be accessed through the official website (http://***/sharedtask/AIDebater21/*** ) of the challenge. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Biometric-based solutions keep expanding with new modalities, techniques and systems being proposed every so often. However, the first ones that were used for authentication, such as handwritten signature and keystroke dynamics, continue to be relevant in our digital world, despite their analogical origin. In special, keystroke dynamics has had an increase in popularity with the advent of social networks, making the need to continue to authenticate in desktop or game-based user verification more prevalent and this became an open door to risky situations such as paedophilia, sexual abuse, harassment among others. One of the ways to combat this type of crime is to be able to verify the legitimacy of the gender of the person the user is typing with. Despite the fact that keystroke dynamics is well accepted and reliable, this technique can have far too many attributes to be analysed which can lead to the use of redundant or irrelevant information. therefore, propose a comparative study between two features selection approaches, hybrid (filter + wrapper) and wrapper. they will be tested by using a genetic algorithm, a particle swarm optimisation, a k-NN, a SVM, and a Naive Bayes as classifiers, as well as, the Correlation and Relief filters. From the results obtained, it can be said that the two proposed hybrid approaches reduce the number of attributes, without negatively impacting the accuracy of the classification, and being less costly than the traditional PSO. © 2021 Institution of Engineering and Technology. Respiratory sound auscultation with digital stethoscopes is a common technique for identifying lung disorders, however, it requires a qualified medical expert to interpret the sounds, and inter-listener variability results from subjectivity in interpretations. To improve diagnostic accuracy and enhance patient treatment, there is a growing need for automated detection of lung diseases. Deep neural networks (DNNs) have demonstrated substantial potential in addressing such challenges. However, DNNs demand a significant amount of data, and the largest available respiratory dataset, ICBHI, comprises only 6898 breathing cycles, which is insufficient to train a satisfactory DNN model. To address the issue, we propose a robust and lightweight model that employs a feature fool exploitation technique to identify respiratory anomalies. Next, we deploy two evaluation approaches to evaluate its performance: random 60/40 splitting and 5-fold cross-validation, against state-of-the-art methods, using the ICBHI dataset. Remarkably, our scheme outperforms existing approaches up to 18.26%, achieving impressive accuracy rates of 72.36% and 89.46%, using the two respective train/test splitting methods. the results show a significant improvement from our method over existing approaches, suggesting its promise for future respiratory healthcare technology research. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

COVID-19 outbreak has been faced by every country across the globe. Its affects transmit through direct or indirect contact of infected person with a healthy person. So, isolation is one of the mechanism for prevention from it. Now a day's advancement in technology is playing a great role in fighting against COVID-19. Uses of drone is one of them. Drones can offer a large number of services in this era. Drone or UAV's not only minimizes the risk of contact, they had been used for aerial monitoring of containment or curfews areas, for evaluation of post-massive epidemic contagious diseases, for reaching inaccessible areas and many mores. this study, presents the utilization of drones in various areas in fighting against COVID-19 pandemic and various technologies that assists these drones. Various challenges in the implementation of contactless deliveries using drones have been presented. © 2021 IEEE.

Social media provides a favorable environment for the birth and development of Internet Celebrities. As a member of international communication, the voice and performance of China’s online celebrities in overseas social media shows great potential for international communication. Taking the top 10 domestic Internet Celebrities in YouTube platform as an example, this paper analyzes the communication mode of Chinese overseas social media in the cross-cultural context from three aspects: the main body of online celebrities who desalinate the official color and narrate the Chinese stories from a civilian perspective;the communication content that tells Chinese stories with multiple contents and resonates with users;and it transcends the geographical boundaries and faces the audience of many countries to analyze China’s overseas social media communication mode in the cross-cultural context Based on the comparative analysis with the online celebrities at the head of the platform, this paper puts forward the communication suggestions of strengthening the cooperation between MCN institutions and jointly improving the communication force of online celebrities;opening up multiple vertical categories of content to expand the coverage of overseas groups;adapting to the characteristics of the platform and making multi platform dislocation efforts. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

the NLPCC 2021 Few-shot Learning for Chinese Language Understanding Evaluation (FewCLUE) shared task seeks for the best solution to few-shot learning tasks with pre-trained language models. this paper presents Tencent Cloud Xiaowei’s approach to this challenge, which won the 2st place in the contest. We propose a Multiple-pattern-Exploiting Training method (MPET) for the challenge. Different from the original PET, MPET constructs multiple patterns to enhance the model’s generalization capability. We take the MPET as an auxiliary task, and jointly optimize classification and MPET. Empirical results show that our MPET is effective to few-shot learning tasks. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the use of smartwatches as devices for tracking one's health and well-being is becoming a common practice. this paper demonstrates the feasibility of running a real-time personalized deep learning-based fall detection system on a smartwatch device using a collaborative edge-cloud framework. In particular, we demonstrate how we automate the fall detection pipeline, design an appropriate UI on the small screen of the watch, and implement strategies for the continuous data collection and automation of the personalization process with the limited computational and storage resources of a smartwatch.

Text recognition in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) aerial images is an important branch in the field of machine intelligence, which can provide important discriminative information for subsequent applications. At this stage, text recognition methods have made breakthrough progress, but the recognition of distorted and slanted text is still a challenge. In this case, we construct a text recognition network model with correction module, and propose a new type of UAV aerial image text recognition method. Specifically, the model mainly includes two parts: rectification network and recognition network. the rectification network can be optimized without manual annotation, and it can regularize various distorted and inclined UAV image texts. the recognition network introduces the attention mechanism and improves the decoder to perform bidirectional recognition of the rectified UAV image text. In addition, we verify the effectiveness of the rectification network through a large number of experiments, and prove that the model composed of the rectification network and the recognition network can achieve the optimal recognition performance. © 2021 ACM.

In education, teacher will frequently ask his student to measure the level of understanding for each student. Meanwhile, the need for self-evaluation for students is requiring the system that able to automatically generate question whenever they want. In order to tackle that problem, there is an area of research, called as question generation (QG). Question generation is a task to make a system that able to automatically generate questions as good as human. In English, there are already many researches in this area, that is from traditionally using pattern matching, or statistically with machine learning. Meanwhile, there is still not many works in Bahasa Indonesia. this research tries to drive the research in question generation, especially in Bahasa Indonesia. Tata Bahasa Baku Bahasa Indonesia (TBBI) is a set of standard language rules in Bahasa Indonesia, is used in this work to convert statement sentence into interrogative sentence. this method allows the more directed pattern matching for converting statement into question. By using this method, the system is able to generate up to 5,000 different questions, with just one book. © 2021 ACM.
