the paper describes an algorithm for automating learning an ontology of data represented by natural language texts. Firstly the problem of learning ontology from a sample of texts is formulated. Next, the structure of data ontology that includes the basic level concepts and concepts of higher levels of generalization is described. the algorithm for extracting basic-level ontology concepts, which is based on the use of semantic resources of Wikipedia and DBpedia tools, is presented. Details on the generalization and specialization of basic ontology concepts are given. the new scientific results of the work include the probabilistic model of ontology, the model of interconnections between the basic concepts of ontology and their instance, and the stop criteria for the iterative process of ontology learning. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors. Electric Vehicle (EV) becomes a mainstream transportation tool in recent years as it is environmentally friendly and energy-usage effectively. However, due to the inconvenience of EV charging, EV requires charging optimization to improve its Quality of Experience (QoE). Previous researches focus on EV's plug-in charging mode (EVs drive to charging station for energy supplement), but it has spatial limitations (fixed location and charging station operation cost). With the development of charging technology, a Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging mode is proposed as a replacement for plug-in mode. Here, EVs are divided into Charging EVs (C-EVs) and Discharging EVs (D-EVs). D-EVs can transfer their surplus energy to C-EVs. this V2V mode not only avoids the limitation of charging location, but also provides EVs with more flexibility in the temporal domain (avoids charging congestion). In this paper, a deadline-based V2V charging scheme is proposed. through the aggregated information of EVs (location and energy supply/demand) and Parking Lots (PLs), V2V charging-discharging pairs (V2V-Pairs) are matched by the Global Controller (GC). Furthermore, an appropriate PL is selected for the V2V charging operation. We simulate the V2V mode in Helsinki City scenario under constrained spatial parking resources, and the results show that the proposed V2V charging scheme has better charging efficiency. © 2021 IEEE.

Cloud computing is an innovative process that delivers on-demand services over the internet. Virtualization is considered as the key concept of cloud computing since it handles running multiple virtual resources in a single physical resource. Mapping the virtual machine (VM) to the appropriate physical machine (PM) is called virtual machine placement (VMP). In this context, the dilemma of placing VMs in the cloud environment presents a significant challenge that has been wholly addressed but not yet totally fixed. this paper provides a multi-objective decision-making approach for VMP in a cloud computing infrastructure. We propose a conic scalarization method to solve the optimization problem. Simulation results prove that the offline algorithm yields good results compared to online deterministic algorithms.

Epilepsy cannot be underestimated as it can negatively impact every one of all ages and reduce the quality of life. Epilepsy can lead to sudden tumble and loss of awareness or consciousness, disturbances of movements. Fortunately, epilepsy seizures can be controlled if epilepsy is detected and treated properly. One of the widely used methods for detecting and diagnosing epilepsy is monitoring and analyzing electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. However, the traditional methods of monitoring and analyzing EEG have some challenges such as high costs, requirements of experienced medical experts, non-scalability, or non-support real-time and long-term monitoring. therefore, in this paper, we present an advanced deep learning neural network approach for the automatic detection of epilepsy seizures. the proposed approach with a customized attention mechanism can be used for a single EEG channel. We evaluate the approach with the Bonn dataset and the CHB-MIT dataset and achieved higher than 98% accuracy, 99% sensitivity, and 98% specificity for a single EEG channel in most of the cases. the results show that the proposed approach is a potential candidate for enhancing automatic epileptic seizure detection systems. © 2022, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Color shift behavior at image pattern edges of three rater-scan RGB mobile projectors is analyzed. the speckle noise effects are eliminated from the measured 2D data by iris-opening of the speckle measurement equipment and averaging the residual speckle noise. the paper investigates the problem of deep learning model selection. We propose a method of a neural architecture search with respect to the desired model complexity called DARTS-CC. An amount of parameters in the model is considered as a model complexity. the proposed method is based on a differential architecture search algorithm (DARTS). Instead of optimizing structural parameters of the architecture, we consider them as a function depending on the complexity parameter. It enables us to obtain multiple architectures at one optimization procedure and select the architecture based on our computation budget. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we conduct experiments on the Fashion-MNIST and CIFAR-10 datasets and compare the resulting architecture with architectures obtained by other neural architecture search methods. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
