image-Text matching has made significant contributions to bridge the gap in multi-modal retrieval for advanced pattern recognition systems. The key point of this task is mapping images and text semantics into a common space, where the correlations of similar pairs and dissimilar ones are distinguishable. To concentrate on obtaining semantics, most of existing methods utilize an external object detector to extract compatible region-level visual representations to match the word-level textual clues in captions. In addition to perform the local region matching, several recent studies design a classification task using global information in the final matching layer, but such global supervision signal is difficult to transmitted to the shallow feature descriptor learning layer. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose a novel Dual Revised Semantic Graph Structured Network (DRSGN) to supplement global supervision to the regional semantics adaptively in the shallow layers. In principle, DRSGN integrates regional and global descriptors to formulate an attention supervising mechanism, aiming to simultaneously highlight the regional instances and global scene to obtain complementary visual clues. A dual semantic supervising module is then established to interact between two modalities to extract the genuine matching pairs. Finally, a semantic graph consisting of the obtained multi-modal clues is designed to perform similarity reasoning between the positional relation embedded textual nodes and semantic related visual nodes. The dedicated global signals provide complementary supervision against local regions to support improved matching capacity. The experimental results on Flikr30K and MSCOCO demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed DRSGN, with improved matching performance against the local region-based approaches. © 2021 IEEE.

Applications of multistatic sensor arrays, which operate in the terahertz-region, are increasingly gaining importance for non-destructive testing purposes. Continuous enhancements in processing capabilities of CPUs and GPUs allow to generate volumetric images with superior speeds compared to alternative raster-scan systems. However, this requires efficient reconstruction- and correction algorithms. In addition to the system design, the choice of signal processing methods has a decisive influence on the resolution, image quality and measurement duration. In this contribution, we discuss some aspects of this signal processing along with specific examples.

The 2D/3D image fusion involves superimposing vascular models onto X-ray images, but the lack of depth information in fused images greatly affects the perception of complex vascular structures. In this paper, we investigate a visualization technique that enables depth perception enhancement of complex vascular structures in fused images. A distance detection-based contour rendering technique is proposed to enhance the shape and local spatial perception of vascular visualization. Furthermore, by combining the pseudo chromadepth and simulation of perspective projection techniques, depth information is used to encode the vascular contour to improve spatial perception of the vascular structures in fused images. The proposed visualization technique is evaluated on both phantom and clinical datasets. The distance detection-based contour rendering provides 100% correctness in the determination of the aneurysm position in X-ray images. Furthermore, results from a questionnaire involving 16 participants and a Likert scale test show a positive result of 4.81±0.47, thereby demonstrating that our proposed depth perception enhancement technique can effectively and efficiently enhance the visual visualization of complex vascular structures in fused images. © 2021 ACM.

Most existing speech enhancement algorithms use attenuation filters to suppress noise signals in the transform domain, which inherently assume that the amplitude of noisy speech components is always greater than that of clean speech components. In fact, such assumptions are not always accurate. This paper makes a hypothesis that if the type of noise (constructive or destructive) is properly determined in advance, the intelligibility of speech can be enhanced. In order to verify this hypothesis, an intelligibility test was performed in which three different enhancement algorithms were used to deal with constructive noise. When the noise is destructive, the processed speech will be replaced with noisy or clean speech. The two evaluation results of objective measures of intelligibility show that if the noise type can be properly determined, the intelligibility of enhanced speech will be greatly improved.

Depth apparent resistivity imaging is an important process of data processing and analysis in the aviation transient electromagnetic method. It can provide reference value of conductor depth, vertical extension, and other information, and can accurately provide the measurement of each aviation transient electromagnetic measurement system. The structural section of the apparent conductivity of the one-dimensional layered medium on the line. As an advanced geophysical exploration technology, the aerial transient electromagnetic method has been applied significantly in the exploration of polymetallic minerals abroad in recent years. In this paper, based on the theory of ground-to-air transient electromagnetic method with multiple radiation sources, a corresponding multi-component global apparent resistivity definition method is established. The advantages of using the magnetic field strength to define the global apparent resistivity of the multi-radiation field source ground-air system are analysed. For each component of the magnetic field strength, respective global apparent resistivity algorithms are proposed to realize the multi-component, full-time, and full-space visual resistivity. The resistivity is calculated, and the influence of the offset on the global apparent resistivity is analysed. By adjusting the relative position of the source and the current direction and other parameters, the multi-radiation source transient electromagnetic ground-air system can not only strengthen the signal strength of different components, weaken random interference, but also better distinguish the location of underground anomalies. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. The agriculture sector is essential for every country because it provides a basic income to a large number of people and food as well, which is a fundamental requirement to survive on this planet. We see as time passes, significant changes come in the present era, which begins with Green Revolution. Due to improper knowledge of plant diseases, farmers use fertilizers in excess, which ultimately degrade the quality of food. Earlier farmers use experts to determine the type of plant disease, which was expensive and time consuming. In today’s time, image processing is used to recognize and catalog plant diseases using the lesion region of plant leaf, and there are different modus-operandi for plant disease scent from leaf using neural networks (NN), support vector machine (SVM), and others. In this paper, we improve the architecture of the neural networking by working on ten different types of training algorithms and the proper choice of neurons in the concealed layer. Our proposed approach gives 98.30% accuracy on general plant leaf disease and 100% accuracy on specific plant leaf disease based on Bayesian regularization, automation of cluster, and without overfitting on considered plant diseases over various other implemented methods. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Wide dynamic range image enhancement plays an important role in image processing applications. This study presents a low-complexity automatic method for wide range image contrast enhancement. According to a large number of experimental results that a narrow range image enhancement problem can be described easily by Gaussian curve. In this paper, we divide wide dynamic range image into regular cells and then applying an optimized image remapping method based on contrast gain redistribution function groups. By improving the bilinear fusion method between cells and simplifying the mean and variance of the contrast gain redistribution function, the algorithm complexity is reduced significantly and the whole process is fully automatic. Experiments show that the presented method enhances the visual effect of the wide dynamic range image effectively and fast, making it suitable for real-time applications.

Semantic and instance segmentation algorithms are two general yet distinct image segmentation solutions powered by Convolution Neural Network. While semantic segmentation benefits extensively from the end-to-end training strategy, instance segmentation is frequently framed as a multi-stage task, supported by learning-based discrimination and post-process clustering. Independent optimizations on substages instigate the accumulation of segmentation errors. In this work, we propose to embed prior clustering information into an embedding learning framework FCRNet, stimulating the one-stage instance segmentation. FCRNet relieves the complexity of post process by incorporating the number of clustering groups into the embedding space. The superior performance of FCRNet is verified and compared with other methods on the nucleus dataset BBBC006.

With the rapid development of the internet of things and cloud computing, users can instantly transmit a large amount of data to various fields, with the development of communication technology providing convenience for people's life, information security is becoming more and more important. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the technology of image hiding information detection. This paper mainly uses the support vector machine learning algorithm to detect the hidden information of the image, based on a standard image library, randomly selecting images for embedding secret information. According to the bit-plane correlation and the gradient energy change of a single bit-plane after encryption of an image LSB matching algorithm, gradient energy change is selected as characteristic change, and the gradient energy change is innovatively applied to a support vector machine classifier algorithm, and has very good detection effect and good stability on the dense image with the embedding rate of more than 40 percent.
