The accuracy of initial rotor position detection is important for senseless control, meanwhile, high frequency signal injection takes its advantages for its simple principle, small calculation amount and good real-time performance. In this paper, the principle of high frequency signal injection is analysed and systematically studied from position information error reading and the direction of d-axis. Besides, factors which may lead to the error of position information error reading is also studied, the second-order notch filter is added to get higher accuracy. Finally, the model of high frequency signal injection is set up to verify the effectiveness of the method, the result shows that method can run well at 0 speed and effectively estimate the actual rotor position. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, the timer control and the inverter control of the pumping system are modelled and simulated. The effects of evaporation, rainfall and seepage are considered to make the model more practical. The proposed timer control model and VFD are used to control the motor pump, which saves a lot of cost. MATLAB/SCIP optimization software was used to implement the developed model. Simulation was used to assess the performance of the proposed electrical timer switching control system. Two scenarios were used to simulate the model: first, a timer control system was applied to a fixed speed water pump, and second, a timer control system was integrated with the VFD power control pump. The simulated results are compared in order to calculate the developed model economic benefit. In comparison to the baseline case, where the load demand is met using a timer control model with a fixed speed motor pump, the simulated results for the given day of operation demonstrate that employing the suggested timer control model with a VFD control motor pump can save 706 ZAR in operating cost each day. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Since lower galvanic efficiency and potential reversal might occur in magnesium (Mg) sacrificial anode applied in anti-corrosion project for grounding grid in substation, rare earth gadolinium (Gd) was incorporated into Mg sacrificial anode material for activating and improving the performance of the anode, and the influence of Gd concentration on properties of Mg sacrificial anode was evaluated by electrochemical method. The results revealed that the incorporation of Gd could effectively improve the electrochemical properties of magnesium sacrificial anode. The present of 0.1%(wt) Gd in the anode caused the best electrochemical properties as follows: the OCP decreased to as low as -1.78V (SEC) while the galvanic efficiency increased to as high as 62%, and the minimal anodic corrosion current, 0.0186mA, was realized, also the reverse potential and current density in DC leakage process increased from 500mV to 900mV and 1mA/dm2 to 2.27mA/dm2, respectively. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In order to cope with the increasing challenge of population aging worldwide, intelligent elderly care robots have become a solution that has attracted much attention. This paper constructed an intelligent elderly care Robot based on ROS (Robot Operating System), which could patrol within the specified scope, monitor the status of the elderly, potential security risks, collect physiological data of the elderly, and upload these data to the Internet of things platform in real time to share with family members or guardians. It has a comprehensive nursing function for the elderly. The design is expected to provide effective technical support and practical research for communities and social institutions, and promote the transformation and upgrading of existing pension models toward diversification and wisdom. © 2024 SPIE.

Addressing the critical challenges of poor structure, weak relevance, and limited reusability in aerospace model software development documents, we propose a knowledge-based retrieval method. This method constructs a knowledge base by analyzing key document features, including storage methods, file formats, content structure, inter-document associations, and naming conventions. The system implements structured document management and associates documents based on software configuration information. By partitioning the retrieval domain, constructing semantic vectors, and applying multi-dimensional weight configurations, the method enables efficient retrieval in domains characterized by dense information and frequent term repetition. An aerospace model software document retrieval system has been developed and preliminarily implemented in an aerospace enterprise, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving retrieval efficiency and enhancing the reuse of development knowledge. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

This paper focuses on covert communication in underlay cognitive radio networks (UCRNs) via energy harvesting (EH) and primary transmitter jamming, which can be applied to military communication and emergency communication. We derive closed-form expressions for the average detection error probability, transmission outage probability, and the maximum effective covert rate of covert communication in UCRNs system. Numerical results reveal the average detection error probability and the transmission outage probability decrease with the increase of the maximum interference tolerance of primary receiver. The combined effect of energy conversion efficiency and time allocation ratio of EH and the maximum interference power of PT provides the positive effective covert rate in the secondary network. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The application of neural networks in embedded systems is currently a hot topic in artificial intelligence research. In the design of the smart flowerpot based on soilless cultivation, a lightweight plant disease detection scheme is proposed in this paper. The proposed scheme cascades a new lightweight model FOMO with a lightweight convolutional neural network model MobileNetV2 for plant disease detection. The proposed scheme can meet the design requirements for plant disease detection performance and can be successfully deployed in the embedded system with STM32 as its core. Plant disease detection is innovatively integrated into the smart flowerpot designed, which improves the level of intelligent control and management. © 2024 ACM.

To solve the concerns of malicious node removal and node corruption caused by idle node voting and long election cycles of the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus process, a new solution is proposed. First, we design a time-cost-based incentive mechanism that provides commensurate compensation to all nodes participating in the consensus strive system nodes to participate in voting actively. Second, we present a reward and punishment scheme based on trust value that sets the node status and corresponding trust value for nodes and dynamically adjusts the node status and associated trust value by monitoring node behavior and provides the function Optimization is performed to make it more difficult for bad nodes to get votes, to speed up the removal of wicked nodes, and to resist node bribery attacks. Finally, a list of alternate witness nodes is included to address the issue of system security weakening caused by the vacancy of hostile nodes once their proxies are revoked. The experimental results before and after the mechanism modification are compared to validate the usability and effectiveness of the improvement scheme. © 2023 IEEE.

In signal transmission processing, when the signal passes through the channel, it increases noise and causes the recovered signal to distort. Error codes can cause errors in the transmission of information. In order to reduce the bit error rate (BER) and improve the accuracy of receiving information at the receiving end, this paper uses BCH code, convolution code two kinds of coding methods, QPSK modulation for transmission, and no parity modulation is required. In the experiment, we change the signal-to-noise ratio of the signal to obtain different signal-to-noise ratio, the error rate corresponding to the different coding methods. By comparing the error rate, it can be concluded that for BCH code, the longer the code, the lower the BER, but the more spectrum resources will be used. For signals with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than or equal to 3dB, the transmission of (7,4) BCH codes is the optimal solution. For convolution code, the more bits the code generator has, the lower the BER. Soft decoding has a lower BER than hard decoding. When the two coding methods are in series, BER decreases. © 2022 IEEE.
