Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a deep learning method that performs well in the image data processing. The disadvantage of CNN is that it takes a long time for training and requires a lot of computer memory, so in this study, it is proposed to use the Hybrid method (Convolutional feature learning and Extreme Learning Machine classification) to overcome these problems. The Hybrid method Convolution Extreme Learning Machine (CELM) will classify fundus images of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR). World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes that DR is a significant eye disease that causes blindness and requires special attention because this disease is increasing quickly. The processes carried out in this research are preprocessing (Cropping, Resize, and Augmentation) and classification using CELM. The feature learning process extracts features of the image using various CNN architecture and classified by KELM. The overall accuracy result is obtained by the CELM method, which reaches 99.95% of accuracy and the best architecture obtained on ResNet50 using 800 hidden nodes and it produces a short training time of 1,539 seconds. © 2022 IEEE.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) acts as one of the commonly occurring problem that causes death globally. The increasing scale of CKD patients created the need for finding the early prediction systems and solutions. Due to large dataset and recorded information of patients, the processing time is high and scaling the dataset in the initial stage is highlighted. The presented study is focused on the foremost problem of kidney disease prediction in the early stages using a robust machine learning algorithm. The proposed work is modeled with Hybrid CatBoost algorithm in which the iterative learning process enables the system to adjust the weight of the training pattern;hence an effective prediction is made. The system is used to make the initial correlation factor between the training vector and testing vector of the CKD patient's data. Higher the learning rate, better the prediction accuracy. The proposed system is validated through a number of quantitative measures such as accuracy, precision, recall and F1Score. © 2022 IEEE.

In the present article, an algorithm for detecting iris in the human eye is proposed. The realization consists of two parts - opening the inner and outer edge of the iris. The Canny edge detection method is used to detect the inner edge, after which the result is filtered and smoothed. The Daugman algorithm has been modified to detect the outer edge of the iris. The results achieved are better interception and localization of the two circles of the iris. The software product used for image processing and implementation of algorithms is MATLAB. © 2022 IEEE.

To enhance the precision and efficiency of manipulation trajectory tracking, a trajectory tracking control strategy combining nonlinear disturbance observer and adaptive inverse sliding mode control is designed. Prior to designing the operator trajectory tracking control strategy, the general kinetic model of the manipulator must be constructed. For the observable part of the disturbance signal, the nonlinear disturbance observer is used for online observation, and the observation error converges exponentially by selecting appropriate parameters;For the unobservable part, the adaptive law is used to compensate, and the Lyapunov stability theory establishes the system's stability. According to the simulation results, the other two methods, the approach suggested in this paper not only speeds up the response speed of the system but also can better overcome the uncertainty of the object and external random interference, significantly reducing system chatter and enhancing the system's ability to exert control. © 2022 SPIE.

Since a single stereo vision sensor cannot completely represent the whole picture of the object, it is necessary to use point cloud registration to realize the whole construction of the object, so as to help the robot complete subsequent operations according to the point cloud information of the complete object. Aiming at the defects of the ICP algorithm in the traditional point cloud registration algorithm, which takes a long time and requires a high initial pose of the point cloud, a point cloud registration method based on improved beetle antennae search algorithm and ICP is proposed. In this method, the initial point cloud pair to be registered is preprocessed by subsampling, etc., and then the application of Moth-flame optimization algorithm to the population is used for reference in rough registration to improve the beetle antennae search algorithm, so that the point cloud pair has a better initial pose. Finally, the KD-TREE is introduced in the process of accurate registration to improve the ICP algorithm and achieve the final point cloud registration. The experimental simulation results show that compared with the traditional ICP algorithm, the registration accuracy of the proposed algorithm is improved by 64.1% on average, and the registration efficiency is improved by 82.0% on average, which effectively improves the ICP algorithm's low speed and accuracy in point cloud registration. © 2023 SPIE.

The classical Log-t-CFAR dual parameter detector has CFAR performance for both scale parameters and shape parameters. Compared with the single parameter CFAR detector, it has stronger clutter adaptability, but there are some problems, such as large false alarm loss and a large amount of computation. In this paper, feedback control is applied to CFAR detection. Based on OS-CFAR, a dual parameter ordered statistics (DPOS) CFAR detector with feedback control is proposed, which solves the problem of large false alarm loss of dual parameter CFAR detector. Its performance is analyzed and verified by actual sea clutter data simulation. The simulation results show that the detection performance of the DPOS-CFAR detector is better than that of the classical dual parameter detector. © 2022 IEEE.

In this digital era of online processing, most information is accessible electronically and is prone to cyber threats. There is a vast range of cyber threats whose behavior is hard to understand in the early phases. These attacks may have some motivation behind them that have significant societal impacts in the form of economic damage, psychological disturbance, a threat to national security, and so on. With the worldwide spread of COVID-19, India experienced an astonishing 86% rise in cybercrimes. Nowadays, cybercrime has become an attractive strategy for hackers to create chaos and disruption. This paper is based on the quantitative analysis of cybercrime in India and its impacts on society, with preventive measures to handle them. In our study, we found that digital related offenses and online frauds are drastically increasing in India during COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, awareness campaigns and security solutions are needed to prevent or mitigate them. © 2022 IEEE.

A developed urban city is always accustomed to lots of cars on its roads but is alternatively not equipped with the required parking space. The increased scalability of the number of vehicles due to increase in population makes allotment of parking space challenging. The other difficulties faced are congestion created due to increased vehicles, wastage of space and time, traffic issues, difficulty in cruising etc. Every time the person driving a vehicle enters the parking lot, they attempt to find an empty space for the vehicle to be parked which leads to loss of time and energy, especially during peak hours. Smart Parking Assistant provides an optimized solution to overcome the above problems. It also provides a sophisticated parking assistance in economical cars. It mainly deals to avoid crash and confusion during car parking in unorganized and unknown parking areas. © 2022 IEEE.

Large Language Model (LLM), particularly conversational models, have garnered significant attention in recent years, owing to their novel approaches to human-computer interaction and natural language processing tasks for individuals or organizations. Against the backdrop of private computing becoming a prevailing trend, the training, fine-tuning, and application of private large models have become exceptionally challenging. This study aims to delve into how fine-tuning LLM for vertical domain applications, in conjunction with edge device, facilitates innovative applications of LLMs in private and vertical domains. We fine-tuned the BaiChuan-2-7b-chat model, specifically enhancing its reasoning capabilities in the financial domain. Through comparative analysis of benchmark datasets, the fine-tuned model exhibited a 2% increase in average response accuracy across various financial domains. Furthermore, we implemented the fine-tuned model on both central computing infrastructure and edge devices, undertaking a comprehensive investigation into the model's inference efficiency and nuanced power consumption across diverse hardware platforms. Comparative analyses unveiled that the deployment of personalized Language Model Machines (LLMs) on edge devices yields superior cost-effectiveness. © 2024 ACM.

A method for detecting paper’s surface defects is proposed, which is based on mathematical morphology algorithm and computer vision technique. Firstly, the mean filtering and wavelet denoising in image pre-processing are used to eliminate the image noise, and wavelet analysis can achieve image enhancement and increase the contrast between the target area and the background. And then, an improved threshold Canny operator is used to segment the image to extract the complete scratch line and other defect edges. Finally, the target region features are coloured by mathematical morphology processing. The method’s stimulating result is verified in the Matlab software, from which we can conclude that the method’s detecting effect is very effective. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing.
