Deep learning has progressed significantly in recent years, making it an ideal choice for image processing applications. Recognition and classification of fruits using deep learning are considered as the most promising techniques for commercial and agricultural applications. Despite this, the researchers are still having difficulty in distinguishing fruits due to their similar colour, shape, and size. This research study intends to address some of the existing challenges by developing a novel framework for fruit identification and classification. Deep learning models such as U-Net, VGG19, and ResNet are used in this work to train and test these models. Here, two sets of data were used: pre-processed and augmented dataset. ResNet performs well with 98% accuracy on the initial set of data, but it consumes more time to compute. As a result, the deep learning models could recognize and classify 122 different types of fruits in real time. However, image augmentation will have no effect on the models' performance. © 2022 IEEE.

This research study proposes a printed compact dual frequency broadband antenna, which can radiate at two resonant frequencies such as 2.1GHz and 5.80 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed in Ansoft Magus CAD EM simulation tool. The material substrate used here is FR4 substrate with ϵr=2.2, tanδ =0.001, and h =0.254 mm. The operating frequency is designed for ISM band 5G application for performing multi-band switching in mobile phones. The antenna dimension considered here is 23mmX 68mmX 254μm, a compact structure which can be easily embedded in any random area. The simulated output involves simulated parameter values, which are acceptable for fabrication & the testing total gain is 2.17 dBi with VSWR = 2 and Zin= 45Ω. © 2022 IEEE.

Emotion recognition in multi-speaker scenarios has been a hot topic of continuous research. In the single-channel overlapped speeches, the recognition accuracy is greatly degraded compared to clean speeches. Therefore, a speech separation task for multi-speaker separation at the front end of emotion recognition is necessary. The overall efficiency is the combined effect of separating a single speech from overlapped voices and emotional recognition. The speech separation experiments in this paper are based on Conv-TasNet, using the WSJ0-2mix dataset as training data to obtain the trained separation model;meanwhile, the speech emotion recognition experiments are inherited from Wav2vec-2.0 pre-trained model with a multi-task learning framework to recognize both text and emotion. Through the experiments, the possibility of bridging the two tasks and the usability of the separation and recognition results for realistic scenarios are demonstrated, and subsequent work can be carried out on improving the robustness and application to other realistic scenarios. © 2022 IEEE.

Sensors and the internet are used in the Internet of Things (IoT) to link physical and computer networks. Future IoT development will be heavily influenced by machine learning and cloud computing. Wi-Fi and ethernet are the most common methods of connecting IoT devices to the internet today. Because of the great range and low latency of the 5G cellular network, most gadgets will choose it in the future. This study discusses how to overcome the limitations of early key management systems and provides a key mechanism that is more effective in the Internet of Things context. Prior to this, the network had been deployed and was being operated by interactions using a mathematical structure known as the blom's key pre- distribution approach. In the event that a new user needs to join the network, the system generates a random group and distributes the secret key. Extra time is required for both processing and communication, as is evident from the outset. To reduce the time it takes to maintain the key distribution within a group or network, this article outlines the use of machine learning principles. Subgroups based on features will likewise be created by this method In addition, the nodes are grouped into viewpoint subgroups, and the secret key is successfully sent among the nodes. © 2022 IEEE.

Today's era is of intelligent devices connected to serve various real-time applications. These numerous IoT devices collect enormous amounts of data, which are then transferred to the cloud for further processing and analysis. Most of these tasks are delay-sensitive and require processing within their deadline. These tasks require high-speed computing and storage resources for their processing. Although the cloud layer provides enormous processing and storage capability, we can not ignore the amount of delay in response generation. Thus, other two lower layers, i.e., the Edge layer and the fog layer, should also be considered to develop an efficient algorithm for task scheduling and load balancing. These three layers vary in terms of resource availability and communication latency. Currently, the increased focus of many new researchers on improving the performance metrics in the cloud architecture, such as energy efficiency, resource utilization, and latency, leads to the requirement of a detailed review of previous work done in this area. Although many review articles are on the web, most focus only on a single layer. Thus, The current study considers all three layers, edge, fog, and cloud, to present a detailed systematic review of algorithms based on load balancing and scheduling at task and VM levels. This study aims to compare and analyze the available papers based on the focused layers, the methodology used, performance matrices, advantages, and future scopes. © 2022 IEEE.

Speech is being used increasingly to create documents. This is due to the availability of high-quality speech recognition software along with devices that capture speech signal ubiquitously. This has helped people to make best use of their time while performing non-productive activities such as commuting to & from work. Many solutions exist to convert dictations to text documents. However, there are very few solutions which can display a visual depiction of a spoken *** this paper, the authors propose a system that can take an audio signal containing an equation and convert it to its visual depiction. The authors make use of available 3rd party speech recognition system along with a proposed system for part of equation (PoE) tagging. The tokens and the PoE tags are used along with a set of pre-defined rules to create the equation sting used for emulation and display of the mathematical equation. © 2022 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way chatbots are created and used. The recent boom of artificial intelligence development is creating a whole new generation of intelligent approaches that enable a more efficient and effective design of chatbots. On the other hand, the increasing need and interest from the industry in artificial intelligence based solutions, is guaranteeing the necessary investment and applicational know-how that is pushing such solutions to a new dimension. Some relevant examples are e-commerce, health or education, which is the main focus of this work. This paper studies and analyses the impact that artificial intelligence models and solutions is having on the design and development of chatbots, when compared to the previously used approaches. Some of the most relevant current and future challenges in this domain are highlighted, which include language learning, sentiment interpretation, integration with other services, or data security and privacy issues.

The operation of Internet of things (IoT) devices generates a large amount of data, most of which is uploaded to the central cloud for computational processing, which increases the latency and power consumption of devices and systems. Existing research focuses on unloading tasks to the network edge for execution to reduce latency and energy consumption, but in real-world applications, there is a need to customize and optimize the IoT operating system to meet the requirements of fast unloading of computational tasks. To this end, an Edge Microkernel Operating System (EMKOS) is designed and developed to achieve fast unloading of computational tasks on resource-constrained IoT devices by using Dynamic Link-ing and Dynamic Loading (DL') technology. The EMKOS system uses DL'technology to achieve fast allocation and loading of computational unload tasks on resource-constrained IoT devices, reducing computational latency and system power consumption. Meanwhile, an edge computing-based computational unloading simulation environment is built to simulate the computational unloading of three types of application scenarios, and the experimental analysis of the three types of application scenarios in real use is conducted in combination with EMKOS. The experimental results prove that the system can be widely applied to application areas such as smart home, Internet of Things, Internet of Vehicle, and smart campus, improving system efficiency and reducing system energy consumption. © VDE VERLAG GMBH - Berlin - Offenbach.

Traditional information encryption techniques lead to inefficient encryption and affect image formats when encrypting images. Therefore, how to ensure the secure storage and transmission of digital images has become a great challenge in the current image processing research. Chaos, a relatively typical nonlinear system at present, has many advantages and meets the design requirements of image encryption systems. In this paper, we take the basic theory of chaos as the entry point and combine it with DNA coding operation to investigate the image encryption method. A new color image encryption and decryption algorithm are designed based on the research of scholars. Mainly, DNA encoding is performed first, followed by a permutation operation to solve the chaotic sequence, generate a DNA matrix and perform operations using DNA operation rules;finally, DNA decoding is performed to obtain the ciphertext image. In addition, to decrypt the image, the pixel average of each component is hidden in the last pixel of each component matrix, which further improves the security of the algorithm. The simulation experimental results show that this method of encryption and decryption works well. © 2022 IEEE.
