An Electromyography (EMG) signal provides reliable information and represents an important step towards man-machine communication to address neuro-muscular movements. The vital aspects of this research focus on data acquisition, signal pre-processing, feature extraction, and accurate classification to meet the practical challenges in terms of reliability. The recorded signals first undergo pre-processing in which the uploaded EMG signals are first segmented into clusters using K-means followed by a Genetic Algorithm (GA) that precisely extracts the rows that exhibit potential signal data. The multi-agent system is designed using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) with neural network architecture. This information of trained features deduced using SVM kernel function, also known as Support Vectors (SVs), is fed to Neural Network (NN) for the classification of EMG signals into two classes, namely, normal and pain. The performance of the proposed classification work is evaluated against the Electro- Myography-EMG dataset in terms of precision, sensitivity, f- measure, and accuracy. The simulation analysis over 1000 simulation rounds had demonstrated an average precision of 0.931, sensitivity of 0.915, f-measure of 0.923, and classification accuracy of 95.51%. The results illustrate a better classification accuracy when SVM support vectors are used by FFBPNN to learn the features of normal, and pain class in comparison to the existing EMG signal classification approaches. © 2022 IEEE.

Employees and job seekers today evaluate their experiences through online reviews of the company. These reviews can also be used by companies to understand their employee's perception. This study aims to extract aspects of importance from the user reviews and the overall sentiment is classified. The suggested method entails pre-processing user reviews with a variety of methodologies, followed by sentiment score based on aspects and feature extraction. In the proposed system, sentiment is classified using Multinomial Nave Bayes (MNB), Decision Trees (DTs), Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Random Forest (RF) classifiers. Practical implementation is done on a glassdoor review dataset containing reviews from current and former employees of Google company is used. Results implicate that Random Forest produces best results as compared to the other algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.

Speech synthesis technology is one of the key technologies for human-computer speech interaction and is widely used in various fields such as audiobooks and information broadcasting. In this paper, we propose a speech synthesis model based on lightweight convolution (Lightweight Convolution-Tacotron2, LConv-T) to address the problems of severe long-distance information loss and slow inference in Tacotron2 speech synthesis model using recurrent neural networks. The encoder uses multiple lightweight convolutional modules connected in a densely connected manner to obtain the contextual information of the input text over long distances. To address the shortcomings of the proposed LConv-T model for speech synthesis, this paper further proposes a Tacotron2-based feature fusion speech synthesis model (Dynamic Lightweight Convolution-Tacotron2, DLConv-T), which can improve the stability of speech synthesis by using the Bi-LSTM and dynamic lightweight convolution modules respectively. The text feature extraction effectively improves the speech synthesis effect. The experimental results show that compared with the Tacotron2 model, the LConv-T and DLConv-T models reduce the objective evaluation MCD values by 0.15db and 0.42db, and improve the subjective evaluation MOS by 0.15 and 0.47, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

To study the influence of turn signal and honk in the mixed traffic flow including motor vehicle, electric bike and bike, a four-lane cellular automata model is established. The motor vehicle turns on the turn signal before changing lane, which can decelerate the latter vehicle on the adjacent lane. The motor vehicle can honk to make the preceding electric bike change lane, which is called 'the first-honk'. Besides, the electric bike can honk to make the preceding bike change lane, which is called 'the second-honk'. The simulation results show that the turn signal effect and honk can significantly reduce obstruction in space-time diagram. The turn signal effect decreases the motor vehicle flow, but two honk effects can increase it. The turn signal effect and the second-honk improve the non-motor vehicle flow, but the first-honk reduces it. The density section in which these effects occur frequently is very different. © 2022 IEEE.

The approaches and visions of Industrie 4.0 developed in recent years enable an increase in productivity and efficiency within production while simultaneously increasing flexibility and autonomy. Decisions are made and processes optimized on the basis of collected data from machines and components. To fully exploit the potential of Industrie 4.0, a suitable data basis is necessary. There are limitations regarding the availability and quality of data, but also an oversupply of data without potential to gain additional information is a challenge. Within this paper, a method for data pre-processing in Industrie 4.0 is therefore developed, which aims at increasing the quality of the data and a subsequent successful modelling depending on the underlying use case. To validate the method, three representative use cases are explained and the method for data pre-processing is applied based on these use cases. The paper ends with a discussion of the results. Aiming at the influence of the similarity of Wi-Fi signal strength on indoor positioning, this paper proposes an improved indoor positioning algorithm based on Wi-Fi fingerprint and random forest. The algorithm uses Wi-Fi as a signal source to construct a Wi-Fi fingerprint library by receiving signal strength indication and basic service set identifiers, thereby establishing a random forest model for indoor location sensing. The simulation results show that the positioning error of the algorithm is about 2.26m. Compared with similar algorithms, it has better performance in execution time and positioning accuracy, and the accuracy of the algorithm is improved by about 3.2%. © VDE VERLAG GMBH - Berlin - Offenbach.

One of the possible side effects of diabetes is Diabetic Retinopathy. Early diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy is an important step toward healing and can prevent many patients from potential blindness. To identify diabetic retinopathy, practitioners may need an artificial intelligence tool to provide a second opinion to confirm or refute a diagnosis. In this article we use a pretrained machine learning model to find a solution to the issue of low-quality inputs by implementing, in the pre-processing step, the technique of Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization to extract more features especially the blood vessels. © 2022 IEEE.
