Neurological disorders affect gait and posture, leading to significant difficulties in daily life. Traditional gait assessment lacks objective and quantifiable data, hindering comprehensive evaluation. To address these limitations, interactive and objective systems, such as smart walkers and specialized treadmills, have been developed utilizing advanced technologies to gather detailed gait data. this study focuses on evaluating two control strategies (A controller based on adaptive estimation of gait parameters and a PI controller-based systems) to automate a conventional treadmill, utilizing LRF sensors and the user's walking speed for personalized system control. the results demonstrate high adaptability of the control models to gait variations, surpassing reported walking speeds in the literature using these algorithms. these findings are relevant for enhancing user interaction and experience in rehabilitation applications and serious games, which can enable improvements in rehabilitation and human-machine interaction. Our results show that the strategy employing adaptive filters exhibits superior responsiveness, enabling adaptation to different treadmill speeds with greater ease. © 2024 IEEE.

Two sparse adaptive filtering (AF) algorithms based on Andrew's sine estimator (ASE) are presented to achieve improved performance for identifying sparse systems, where the ASE is derived within the least-square framework. Furthermore, zero-attracting (ZA) scheme is used in ASE to construct ZA-ASE and its re-weighting form (RZA-ASE) to combat non-Gaussian noises and use the sparse characteristics of the system. their performance is investigated via simulations and compared with the least-mean square (LMS) and the maximum correntropy criterion (MCC) algorithms to show their superior performance. © 2022 IEEE.

In view of the problems of poor speed tracking and insufficient robustness in the traditional vector control of proportional-integral permanent magnet synchronous motor, this paper proposes a fuzzy PI vector control method based on the improved differential evolution algorithm to optimize the PI parameters and the fuzzy control. the improved differential evolution algorithm is based on the overshoot and the adjustment time to optimize the PI parameters offline. the fuzzy control idea is adopted and combined with the PI control to build a fuzzy PI controller for the vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motor. the simulation results show that compared with the traditional PI control effect, the fuzzy PI controller based on improved differential evolution algorithm optimization reduces the adjustment time and overshoot, reduces the torque ripple caused by load mutation, and increases the anti-interference ability of the system. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper purpose is to optimize a high gain state observer for the estimation nonlinear chaotic systems. the upgrading method, based on the use of a non dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II), relies on a quadratic optimization fitness function is presented to generate the most suitable value of the observer influential parameter theta that define the observation gain. NSGA-II algorithm is considered as a competent multiobjective exploration approach. In fact, the proposed criteria grants an adjustment of the observation error taking into consideration the correction factor of the observer. Furthermore, a remarkable specification of the proposed optimization approach is its independence to initial conditions allowing to override the problem of suboptimal conditions, which are widely used in optimization methods. Experimental simulation is proposed to illustrate the efficiency and prominent results of the designed observation approach, applied to state reconstruction of the well-known unified nonlinear perturbed chaotic systems.

In this study, a novel mechanism using for the satellite three-axis attitude adjustment is proposed. the aim of this paper is to study the magnetic field of the spherical magnetohydrodynamic attitude controller. According to the results of numerical simulation, the optimal design parameter combination of the magnetic field design of the spherical magnetohydrodynamic attitude controller is obtained. this work can provide a reference for the subsequent flow field optimal design and experiment. © 2022 SPIE.

With the normalization of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, big data analysis technology has become an important support for scientific and accurate prevention and control. As a transportation means for water traffic, ship management plays an important role in the whole COVID-19 epidemic prevention system. It is the key to improve the efficiency of water traffic epidemic prevention to identify and track the key ships. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of key ships identification and tracking in epidemic prevention and control, a real-time ship tracking and control platform for epidemic prevention is proposed. By fusing the multi-source information, the platform changes the epidemic prevention way of water traffic from the manual query method to the data analysis method. the platform has been applied in the local maritime regulatory department, and it improves the identifying, tracking and control efficiency of key ships. © 2022 IEEE.

the fast and flexible regulation characteristics of energy storage system make it have advantages in participating in system frequency control. Combining wind power and energy storage to form a coordinated wind-storage system can well improve the frequency stability of the system. However, considering the high energy storage investment cost, this paper establishes the energy storage capacity optimization model with the goal of minimizing the total cost of coordinated wind-storage system. then, a fuzzy control strategy of dynamic frequency response of the coordinated wind-storage system is proposed, which makes full use of the active reserve margin of wind turbine and the limited capacity of energy storage equipment to realize the dynamic cooperative operation of wind power and energy storage. Finally, the simulation analysis of the proposed method verifies that the optimization of energy storage capacity has good economy and the control strategy has good frequency regulation control effect. © 2022 IEEE.

Aiming at permanent magnet synchronous motor chaotic system, an equivalent control method of neural network sliding mode based on improved fruit fly optimization algorithm is proposed. When the output of the RBF neural network is used as the boundary layer of the sliding mode equivalent control, it overcomes the difficulty of selection the saturation function boundary layer and the chattering phenomenon in the traditional sliding mode equivalent control. the improved fruit fly optimization algorithm is applied to globally optimize the parameters of the sliding mode controller, so as to suppress the chaotic phenomenon of the permanent magnet synchronous motor more effectively. Simulation results show that this strategy has high control precision and rapid response speed. © 2022 IEEE.

Target detection has been widely used in fields such as intelligent security and autonomous driving. However, existing computationally heavy target detection algorithms based on deep learning can only work on GPU and CPU platforms, restricting the applications on edge devices with limited computational power. To address this issue, this paper proposes layer fusion and 16-bit fixed-point quantization on the YOLOv2-Tiny algorithm to reduce the computational complexity of target detection algorithms. Furthermore, the data transmission efficiency is optimized by using ping-pong butter and multi-channel methods. To reduce FPGA resource consumption, the neural network is split into convolution, accumulation, pooling, and address mapping modules. the proposed system has been successfully implemented on the Xilinx Zynq-XC7Z035 platform, using only 47% of BRAM resources and 18% of DSP resources. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper proposes the investigation of an automatic monitoring system of transverse diffusion of transmission line engineering based on automatic control, intending to enhance the safety of power grid operation and the effectiveness of detecting parameters like the size of the opposite side of the crimped wire. Using the same microcomputer as the primary control device, a transmission line automatic compression control system is constructed in this paper. It has three infrared sensors that can measure three groups of distances, an electric sensor that measures the hydraulic pump's output, and an electric drive that controls the hydraulic pump's opening and closing. the upper computer can count the number of wire movements and measure the distance traveled by each step of the wire. the lower machine moves the metal directly depending on the instructions from the upper computer, measures the hydraulic pump's pressure, and measures the length of three distinct groups of hexagonal metal. Time pressure and three wire groups that are not connected are also visible in the lower computer's serial port. this system reduces collision costs, saves a lot of labor, increases engineering and production efficiency, and can be useful in wire crimping technology. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
