Sentiment analysis is one of the core fields of Natural Language Processing(NLP). Numerous machine learning and deep learning algorithms have been developed to achieve this task. Generally, deep learning models perform better in this task as they are trained on massive amounts of data. This, however, also poses a disadvantage as collecting sufficient amounts of data is a challenge and training with this data requires devices with high computational power. Word embedding is a vital step in applying machine learning models for NLP tasks. Different word embedding techniques affect the performance of machine learning algorithms. This paper evaluates GloVe, CountVectorizer, and TF-IDF embedding techniques with multiple machine learning models and proves that the right combination of embedding technique and machine learning model(TF-IDF+Logistic Regression: 87.75% accuracy) can achieve nearly the same performance or more as deep learning models (LSTM: 87.89%). © 2022 IEEE.

New machine learning techniques have been employed to help diagnose steel defect in order to increase automation, optimize durability, and sustain high quality in the steel sector as an unparalleled picture-emancipation revolution has been witnessed in recent years. In the conventional steel manufacturing process, manual detection and classification of surface flaws on a sheet of steel is slow and error-prone. Automatic detection of steel surface flaws during the pixel image stage is thus a necessary task as well as a pressing and difficult problem to address. © 2022 IEEE.

One of the biggest challenges in cyber security today is detecting malware infections due to the growing sophistication of cyber threats. Using the CIC-PDFMal2022 dataset, this paper investigates the use of machine learning(ML) algorithms for the identification of malware assaults based on Portable Document Format (PDF) files. This dataset offers a wide range of attributes that capture many facets of PDF files and was specially selected for use in PDF malware investigation. This dataset is used to train ML algorithms such as Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (DT), Adaptive Gradient Boosting (AdaBoost), and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), which then use the patterns they identify as indicative of malicious behaviour, to accurately classify threats and take preventative measures against PDF-based cyberattacks. Examining attributes including file size, metadata properties, JavaScript presence, and other structural components specific to PDF files are all part of the research. By assessing how well ML models identify and mitigate PDF malware attacks, the study seeks to promote cybersecurity and increase the general adaptability of digital systems to changing cyber threats. Performance criteria like accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score have been used to identify the most effective attack detection technique. With accuracy ratings of 98.58%, 98.99%, and 98.69%, respectively, the LR, AdaBoost, and DT models are in order of precedence, while the XGBoost model has the greatest accuracy rating of 99.84%. © 2023 IEEE.
