Smart park shuttle service systems (SPSSS) play a crucial role in the future smart city, but there is currently no comprehensive development approach that considers the user at every stage. This study proposes a user-centric development approach for SPSSS, which includes: (1) creating user journeys to uncover user requirements and design opportunities;(2) analyzing elements such as human factors, machinery, and the environment to clarify the service system model;(3) identifying user touchpoints to define system functions;and (4) involving users in evaluations to facilitate decision-making. This approach constructs an SPSSS with shuttle vehicles, an online booking platform, and park navigation stations as the front-end, and a cloud-based system as the back-end. Furthermore, user involvement in evaluations helps refine shuttle vehicle design. This study offers significant value by promoting a user-centric perspective for the development of service systems. © 2024 ieee.

Intracortical brain-computer interfaces (iBCIs) restore motor function in patients with paralysis by converting neural activity into control signals for external devices. However, the frequent recalibration required by current decoding methods due to turnover and loss of recording neurons poses a challenge for achieving stable online decoding. To address these issues, we propose a multi-source domain adversarial classification (MSDAC) framework for cross-day decoding that utilizes an out-of-distribution (OOD) generalization approach. This framework divides the historical data into source domains by date and employs adversarial networks to minimize the distribution discrepancies among multiple source domains, thereby achieving robust domain-invariant characteristics and superior performance on unseen test data. The MSDAC framework was evaluated using five months of monkey center-out neural activity data and demonstrated exceptional performance. Without relying on test day data for model calibration or parameter updating, the MSDAC achieved an average decoding accuracy of 84.38% (day-5 to day-150, 27968 trials). These results underscore that the MSDAC-based decoding framework can be an ideal choice for establishing stable iBCI systems. © 2024 ieee.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Socio-technical Transitions each evidence links to sustainability and sustainable development. This is apparent in their inherent capabilities and contributions to the transition of modern societies and their systems to more sustainable states. Despite this, it is observed that their integration is largely at miss in academic literature. This paper, therefore, presents an inquisition into the need to integrate Socio-technical Transitions and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The sorting system is the core of the tobacco logistics distribution center, the current distribution center cigarette sorting volume is large, and different order sorting orders have a greater impact on the total processing time of the order, to improve the sorting efficiency of the tobacco logistics distribution center, the establishment of a mathematical model to minimize the total time of the delay of the order as the objective function, the use of improved adaptive genetic annealing algorithm for the solution, and the use of Plant Simulation software to establish a simulation model of the sorting system, the results of the solution in Plant Simulation software simulation verification, it is verified that the use of the algorithm for order sorting, compared with the traditional sequential sorting, effectively reduces the total processing time of the order sorting, and improves the sorting efficiency of the tobacco logistics and distribution center. © 2024 ieee.

Agile methods have long been proven in software development, but not in all branches. Unfortunately, not all sectors benefit from the advantages of agile development, yet. Especially highly regulated areas, such as medical devices, often fall back on traditional process models due to regulatory and normative requirements because of perceived conformity. Using targeted placement of agile modules in combination with regulatory requirements, a process model for medical device manufacturers was created in the flexible, innovative process model ADmed, which demonstrates on the one hand the added value of agile development for the company and on the other hand enables conformity with important process-oriented regulations and standards for medical devices. By conducting expert interviews, the model was successfully evaluated and aspects for further optimization of the model could be identified.

In recent years, with the rapid development of deep learning and computer vision technology, the forgery technology of images and videos has become increasingly mature, posing new challenges to information security and social stability. Behind the re-evolution of deepfake lies the rampant proliferation of fake content, which is used for election tampering, identity fraud, fraud, spreading fake news, and so on. To address these challenges, researchers are constantly exploring and developing image-based deepfake detection techniques, which aim to effectively identify and prevent deepfake content in images and videos. This article will introduce the current development status of deepfake detection technology, present its principles and methods in detail, and look ahead to its future development directions. © 2024 ieee.

The current source array is the core circuit of a digital to analog converter (DAC), and its performance directly affects the performance indicators of the DAC.A new type of high linearity DAC is designed to address the two major factors that affect DAC linearity in traditional current source arrays: clock feedthrough effect in transient switches and limited output impedance. It introduces a "dummy"switch to compensate for the clock feedthrough effect and reduce the bugs in the output *** the same time, the "gain boosting"technology was adapted to design an auxiliary operational amplifier, which utilizes its advantage of increasing the output impedance on the signal path,further improving the spurious free dynamic range(SFDR) of the *** on SMIC 180nm CMOS technology, post simulation verification was conducted on *** results showed that under the conditions of input frequency of 1.025 MHz and sampling rate of 200 MS/s,the Differential Non-Linearity (DNL) is 0.12 LSB, the Integral Non-Linearity (INL) is 0.23 LSB, the SFDR is 80.2 dB,and the signal to noise distortion ratio (SNDR) to be 70.15 dB. © 2024 ieee.

This article discusses the importance of incorporating social and ethical knowledge into engineering education through a course in Science, technology, and Society (STS). With the advent of the Fifth Industrial Revolution, it is crucial for engineers to be aware of societal needs and the Sustainable development Goals outlined by the United Nations. However, engineering curricula often prioritize technical and scientific knowledge alone, neglecting social and ethical aspects. We present a description of STS as taught at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod, Philippines, during the academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. Here, we outlined government and course-level guidelines that guided the course and described the culminating learning evidence (CLE), the final deliverable of the course. Examples of CLE submissions were provided, followed by evaluations and reflections on lessons learned. We concluded by proposing enhancements to course design and implementation, aiming to improve social and ethical awareness among engineering students.

With the application of intelligent technology in audit work, the engineering audit system has ushered in new development opportunities, prompting major accounting firms to actively explore the construction and application of intelligent information technology in engineering audits. To this end, this paper, from the perspective of engineering audits conducted by accounting firms, takes the five stages of engineering audits in accounting firms as the main thread to study the overall framework of the intelligent engineering audit system and the specific design of each stage. It also analyzes the application of the intelligent engineering audit system through practical cases. The application results show that compared with traditional manual identification, efficiency has been improved by 80%, the average audit reduction rate per project for auditors has increased by 2 0 %, and the average audit duration has been reduced by 3 5 %. © 2024 ieee.
