Effective VM placement mechanism is needed for cloud computing as incoming flow of tasks were dynamic when they are coming onto cloud console. Incoming requests for any cloud console were large in number then there is a chance of decay in quality of service. Quality of service will be degraded when these number of requests were not properly handled i.e. SLA violations and more number of migrations. Quality of Service will be directly affected by these parameters. Many of the authors addressed these metrics but still there is a chance to improve the VM placement in cloud computing. In this paper, we have used a nature inspired algorithm i.e. cuckoo search to design the VM placement strategy and we have used a threshold value to identify the physical host whet her it is overloaded, under loaded or balanced based on the utilization of CPU. cloudsim toolkit is used as a simulator to conduct simulation and our proposed mechanism minimizes violation of SLA and there is a great improvement in makespan when it was compared with PSO and GA algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.

Initially, users use internet of things (IoT) services to remotely monitor or control things through the internet. However, according to the development of IoT technologies, there have been various IoT services which require some strict requirements such as real-time response or high computing processing. In addition, the intelligent computing for the services has been needed in these days. To cover these services, the communication networks and computing paradigms have been changed. Conventionally, IoT services have been usually supported in the cloud. Then, the edge cloud or computing has been considered for the real-time response. Finally, the computing in the device by itself such as a tiny machine learning concept has been recently introduced. Therefore, this paper reviews the changes in communications networks and computing paradigms from the cloud to the edge and device computing for the intelligent IoT services. © 2022 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) environment, which enables networking and computing in everything, is rapidly spreading. IoT environments cause bottlenecks and service delays to process data and provide services to users through a cloud-based central processing structure. In order to solve this problem, edge computing, which provides services to users by directly frosting data from IoT nodes and access networks, is rapidly spreading to cloud environment, where research continues to efficiently provide low delay intelligent services to users. In this paper, the response time of the service required to complete LSTM training is mainly measured by comparing to the locality of centralized data in the core cloud. As the technical support system of power grid dispatching command, data information transmission and intelligent substation construction, electric power urgently needs to plan and build a perfect, integrated, automated and unified data center basic platform. And promoting the research and innovation of cloud computing can accelerate the process of information construction, and then enhance the level of industrialization. With the goal of minimizing the average delay of the system, by introducing a continuously variable partition coefficient of cloud and edge tasks, the delay optimization problem is transformed into a convex optimization problem, and finally an optimized task partition strategy is obtained. The experimental results show that, compared with the traditional grid data processing method based on cloud center architecture, this method improves the speed of data processing, and at the same time avoids the delay of data uploading and waiting for data return, thus achieving a quick response to data. Properly loading the tasks of edge nodes into the cloud center can effectively reduce the system delay of power business and alleviate the network congestion. © 2023 IEEE.

Frequency hopping communication has outstanding anti fading, anti-interference and anti interception capabilities, which effectively resists the increasingly complex interference technology and eavesdropping means in the modern communication environment. The key technology of frequency hopping communication along with the difficulty of its realization is fast and efficient acquisition and synchronization. In order to achieve shorter synchronization time and higher synchronization probability, this paper combines the synchronization prefix method and the reference clock method, using a synchronization header structure design to propose an efficient frequency hopping pattern acquisition synchronization method.

Power Line communication (PLC) covers a wide range of functions and has low cost. With the development of smart grid, new requirements of high-frequency spectral efficiency and large access capacity are put forward for power line communication. This paper studies the power line communication technology based on adaptive SCMA. Through adaptive modulation, SCMA technology can better adapt to the characteristics of strong signal attenuation, background noise and impulse noise in power line channel, and improve the spectral efficiency and user capacity in power line communication. © 2022 IEEE.

The pedagogical science has improved immensely in each section of learning and education due to adoption of recent developments in Information and communication Technologies (ICT) domain. Adopting web-based tools has aided to new thrust in imparting education through remote means. The deployment of cloud network is quickly aided to all disciplines of learning and at all levels. A user can access, from any remote location, a data stored over cloud platform using their computers, tablets or smartphones, and can also make perturbations in data on need basis. The method of E-learning becomes seamless when cloud-based techniques are employed. This also helps in cost cutting and cumbersomeness of data processing as the major chunk of services is operated by third party infrastructures. Both cloudbased and conventional E-learning when combined offers a greater advantage to teachers, students and institutes albeit with a clutch that the security becomes a major issue of concern. In this article, the virtual network embedding resource trading and expanding (VNE-RTE) problem on elastic optical networks (EONs) with time-varying traffic was studied. Several trading and expanding methods were proposed to solve the VNE-RTE problem. We show the effectiveness of the proposed methods through extensive simulations. Simulation results show that the proposed RTE scheme can improve the overall computing/spectrum resource utilization of an EON.

To solve the problems of different space-based application platforms, lack of unified specifications and poor real-time performance, this paper proposes a design scheme of space-based cloud server based on Docker cluster, drawing on the container technology and cloud native architecture used by ground cloud computing. The computing module of the space-based cloud server realizes network communication through the route switching module, and integrates a high-capacity storage module to complete data access. The real-time operating system running integrated container services on the computing module and the lightweight container cluster management framework realize the dynamic deployment and orchestration of space-based container applications. The design framework has been verified in the space-based cloud server prototype, and the test results show that the framework achieves universal high-performance computing, virtual resource integration scheduling, and autonomous task migration. In the future, it can be deployed to space-based satellite clusters to provide users with space-based cloud information services, including universal high-performance computing, information intelligent processing, etc. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.
