Securing task allocation is an enabling technology for Internet of Things (IoT) crowdsensing applications. It is a difficult problem to solve due to the complex multi-factor and multi-objective nature of IoT crowdsensing applications. Existing methods mainly focus on privacy protection for task allocation and secure task allocation, lacking an evaluation of security during the process of task allocation. To address the above issue, this paper proposes a Secure Task Allocation (STA) method based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS). First, by considering task characteristics, security vulnerabilities, and participant information, a hierarchical structure is designed for secure task allocation with the AHP method. The optimal execution queue for the task is obtained by calculating task feature weights. Then, a quantitative evaluation method is designed to evaluate the security value of the tasks by using both the CVSS and AHP methods. The STA is obtained by a task-matching strategy based on task security values and participant information. The simulation results show that the STA method achieves high security and efficiency for task allocation and is superior to other comparative algorithms. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The Black-Scholes (B-S) and Leland models play an important role in option pricing. This paper investigates the differences between the Black-Scholes model and the Leland model from aspects of option pricing in real markets with or without transaction costs. Specifically, the results of the B-S models and Leland model performance differently when transaction costs are introduced. The paper demonstrates the differences between the two models by selecting the relevant prices of four stocks for the last 10 days and calculating their theoretical prices based on the relevant algorithms of the two models. According to the analysis, every change on conditions has the potential to affect the pricing of options in the market. Based on these results, we have focused on the differences in option pricing after the implementation of transaction costs, though some realistic factors that may affect the results have been ignored in the calculation process for both models. Overall, the greater the transaction costs, the larger the deviation from the analytical results of the two models. These results shed light on option pricing in a real market. © 2023 SPIE.

Nowadays, with the increasing output of municipal waste, the pressure on municipal waste treatment is increasing. In this case, utilizing low-cost and low-power IoT technology to improve urban waste management has become a popular trend. This paper proposes an intelligent garbage management system for urban communities: Garbage Manager. The Garbage Manager aspires to create energy-efficient and real-time waste detection based on IoT and data visualization technology. In this work, the NodeMCU chip integrated with a high-precision ultrasonic sensor is used to measure the height of the waste in the garbage bin and transmits the data to the database through the Ali-cloud IoT platform. In addition, a web page is created as a graphical user interface to display the status of the garbage bins in real-time. Experimental results show that the Garbage Manager is able to decrease the manpower from clearing the garbage by 24.07 % and reduce the garbage overflow times by 83.33 %. © 2022 IEEE.

Currently, the majority of multi-population algorithms ignore the worst particles and instead learn from the gbest or lbest. Hence, it is simple for these strategies to result in inadequate population variety, which causes early convergence. A multi-population particle swarm optimization considering the worst particles into account (CWMPSO) is suggested to demonstrate the importance of the worst particle information. In addition to considering the best particle, the CWMPSO algorithm concentrates on the worst particle globally. The algorithm divides the population into three subgroups, which learns from the gbest, gworst, and gbest + gworst, respectively. The development of the global worst particle information can be achieved by group learning, allowing for a more thorough exploration of potential optimum solutions and an avoidance of local functional ones. 30 complex CEC2017 benchmark functions were used in this work to test a range of algorithms including CWMPSO with various dimensions. The outcomes demonstrate that, in every dimension, the CWMPSO algorithm is better than other advanced PSOs. © 2023 SPIE.

In the current global world, and also due to the CoVID-19 pandemic and the evolving digital technologies, education is changing faster and more dramatically now than at any time in history. In this context, education is drifting away from the traditional approaches and into the integration of international, intercultural and global dimensions in higher education, vocational education and training, as well as in secondary education. Thus, the purpose of this exploratory study is to unveil current trends and future needs of research and practice focused on Collaborative Online international Learning (COIL), to set conceptual foundations for further pedagogical innovation. Following the PRISMA 2020 statement, the corpus of the study integrates a final set of research studies (n = 135), published between 2019-2022. Considering the main key-terms of recent literature in the area, the collected data were analyzed by means of a bibliometric analysis, using VOSviewer's network and overlay visualization of most frequent terms.

It is very important to understand the current situation of blockchain technology on a global scale. The large-scale application of blockchain technology is an inevitable trend. This article revolves around published papers related to blockchain technology, using keywords and abstract content to search for Chinese papers and English papers. Relevance analysis and sorting through the retrieved documents with six core layers of blockchain respectively: Application Layer, Contract Layer, Actuator Layer, Consensus Layer, network Layer and Data Layer. Based on the analysis results, the study found that China's research is more preference and application of landing and industry, while international research is more preferred to the research of the underlying technology of finance and blockchain. This article illustrates the current status of blockchain technology and applications from the smart city, and contribute to scholars and technicians who are interested in or research blockchain. © 2022 ACM.

A high mortality rate is associated with ovarian cancer, one of the most common types of cancers in women. Ovarian cancer refers to a group of disorders that develop in the ovaries and spread to the fallopian tubes and peritoneum. Treatment is most effective when ovarian cancer is discovered in its early stages. Machine learning has recently demonstrated that it is capable of better identifying ovarian cancer and its stages. Most modern research studies on ovarian cancer use a single classification model, leading to poor performance in diagnosis. For the detection of ovarian cancer, the highly sophisticated and efficient machine learning algorithms Support vector machine (SVM) and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) are employed in this study. Before diagnosing illness, the suggested approach can optimize and standardize data. Experimental results show that SVM has outperformed KNN in both training and validation performance and achieved an accuracy of 98.1% 97.16% for training and validation respectively. If used in medical diagnosis systems, the proposed model can significantly improve the accuracy of ovarian cancer detection leading to effective treatment and an increase in patient survival rates. © 2022 IEEE.

The application of CBCT systems in intraoperative environments has become increasingly common, but concurrent CBCT systems are unsuitable for situations that require a large longitudinal imaging FoV, such as orthopedics. To increase longitudinal coverage, we developed a dual-source CBCT (DS-CBCT) system in which two ray sources are symmetrically placed along the central plane. After further analyzing its geometric characteristics, we propose an analytical reconstruction algorithm termed DT-FDK specialized for DS-CBCT, which combines cone-beam rebinning and two rays with smaller cone angles among the four conjugate rays to further suppress cone beam artifacts. The system design and reconstruction algorithm are tested on both simulated and real-scanned data. Results show that the DS-CBCT can expand the effective imaging volume by 37.1% compared to single-source CBCT systems. The reconstructed images by DT-FDK also show improved image quality compared to traditional reconstruction algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of multimedia computer technology, media such as text, images, and sounds have provided unprecedented conditions for students to learn online. With the help of big data and artificial intelligence technology, online education has become an important way of education. It is also a hot area of research in many domestic and foreign universities and enterprises. The purpose of this paper is to study English tutoring learning systems based on machine learning algorithms. Based on Bootstrap technology, this paper proposes to develop an English tutoring learning system to provide a design idea that conforms to the future multi-platform trend for the design of today's learning software. Using the related technologies of machine learning, an algorithm for judging the reading difficulty based on the English difficulty level is designed. At the same time, in order to enhance the effect of the model, a multi-model fusion algorithm based on multi-feature sets is proposed, and the performance and stability of the model are verified through relevant experiments. The research results will also serve as the basis for user personalized modeling research. © 2022 IEEE.

Due to the progress of computer technology, image processing-based applications become more and more important not only in advanced research fields but also in our daily life. For example, biomedical image processing, autonomous vehicles, video surveillance, computer vision, augmented reality, and many more are some hotspots in research as well as the applications. The technology of image segmentation is the basis of all these applications. In this review, we summarize the traditional image segmentation methods and algorithms including segmentation based on thresholding, segmentation based on graph theory, and segmentation based on region. Also, due to the exceptional performance of the CNN model, a series of CNN-based segmentation algorithms were proposed. Along with the invention of these new approaches, segmentation task has been pushed to a higher accuracy and efficiency level. Thus, we also summarize the major CNN-based model, such as the FCN model, the Encoder-Decoder designed architectures, the Multi-scale and Pyramid-based architectures, and Deeplab Family. Moreover, we provide some information on some popular datasets and metrics to rigorously evaluate a model, and we provide tables that contain the quantitative information on each model's performance. Even though the outcomes of current models have reached a significant level, there are still many problems that need to be tackled. At last, we provide our opinion regarding the current situation in image segmentation field. © 2022 IEEE.
