Presented within this paper are the findings and illustrated experimental results, for the extracting parameters of specific chemical solutions, used to represent the complicated permittivity and the loss tangent of liquids at microwave frequencies. In particular, the endothelial cells growth medium and Dulbecco's Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS) solution in the case of the experiment's sample were evaluated in 50 ml water-based solution at a test frequency between 200 MHz and 50 GHz. The vector network analyzer model E8361A was used for measuring complex reflection and permittivity coefficient parameters. From the numerical results, different values of the loss tangent were identified when compared with test samples of plain water in the frequency range of 200 MHz to 10 GHz. Findings obtained produced the same results in the 10 GHz as well as higher frequency ranges. Moreover, the research presents the characteristics, differential measurement results of growth medium used for human endothelial cells and DPBS, two of the most common solutions required for culturing cells in vitro. By enabling to distinguish sample characteristics in response to magnetic resonance, this method has potential to be applied for non-invasive and non-destructive analysis of biological samples in biology and medicine. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper addresses the problem of shadow detection from a single image. Previous approaches have shown that exploiting both global and local contexts in deep convolutional neural network layers can greatly improve performance. However, multi-level contexts remain underexplored. To achieve this, we propose RMLANet, a novel Random Multi-Level Attention network. Specifically, we leverage shuffled multi-level features simultaneously with guiding features, and employ the transformer to capture global context. Furthermore, to reduce the computational and memory overhead caused by the self-attention mechanism in the vanilla transformer, we propose a random sampling strategy to reduce the number of inputs to the transformer. This is motivated by observing local consistency in images, which suggests that dense attention is unnecessary. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms current state-of-the-art methods on three widely used benchmark datasets SBU, ISTD and UCF. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, a low-profile slotted microstrip patch antenna with an operating bandwidth of 34.093GHz - 38.607GHz has been proposed. The antenna has been simulated using computer Simulation technology Microwave Studio (CST MWS), using annealed lossy copper for the ground and patch layers while employing lossy Rogers RT5880 as the dielectric substrate material. Antenna feeding was done through a microstrip line, and a comb-shaped slot was cut out from the conducting patch layer. The simulated results for the design report a return loss of approximately -22.13 dB at the resonant frequency of 37.18 GHz, a main lobe gain of 5.9468 dBi, and efficiency of 84.47%. Additionally, the VSWR value is 1.1698 at the resonant frequency and within the acceptable range of 0 to 2 everywhere else over the working bandwidth. Comparison of the simulation with existing literature suggests that the performance of the proposed antenna achieves the requirements for fifth-generation 5G mobile network applications. © 2022 IEEE.

With the rapid development of social economy and the gradual improvement of the public road network around the airport, more and more passengers who choose public transportation such as self-driving, cab and online taxi to and from the airport bring new challenges to the management way of roadside traffic. The construction of parking building rating system has always been a hot topic in the industry, but not many hub airport parking building evaluation system is clearly proposed. This study draws on the design points of traditional parking buildings, combines the unique design points of airport parking buildings, and establishes a set of quantitative evaluation system based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method applicable to hub airport parking buildings. Based on the IVS simulation platform, the system uses IOT technology to monitor and control the environmental data onto greenhouse orchards for the purpose of orchard wisdom management. The system realizes the bi-directional function of manual remote as well as intelligent self-control through integrated sensors and wireless communication network, and optimizes through fuzzy control algorithm, PID algorithm and supervised learning algorithm to achieve the monitoring of data such as air temperature and humidity, soil temperature and humidity and carbon dioxide concentration in the park, so that the environment is always maintained in the range suitable for fruit tree growth. Finally, a QR code is added to each batch of fruits to build a traceability function of food safety. © 2022 IEEE.

Human Activity Recognition was a key part of medical and mobile applications in today's world, with important applications in old-age homes and monitoring daily activities. In this paper, we proposed an automated Human Activity Recognition model using a 1-Dimensional Convolutional Neural network (CNN). To select the optimal parameters for the CNN model, we used the Grid Search Cross Validation method. On one hand, we used a manual feature extraction and CNN method. Starting from the physical significance of accelerometer and gyroscope signals, we extracted a new set of features. Experimental results show that the new features we extracted perform well in common human activity recognition tasks using SVM, MLP, and CNN. On the other hand, we used a method where CNN automatically extracts features and performs recognition. Experimental results indicate that CNN's automatic feature extraction is more effective than manual extraction. The model proposed in this paper achieved a recognition rate of up to 98.53%, which is 2% higher than the current accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Convolutional neural network (AlexNet) based image recognition system is constructed for the problem of handwritten brush numeral recognition. Using MNIST standard handwritten numeral data samples, after pre-processing them, they are divided into training and test sets, and the AlexNet model is trained and tested on the collected handwritten brush numeral samples and the accuracy of the obtained numerals recognition reaches 98.92%. The results show that the application of AlexNet to handwritten brush numeral recognition has a good recognition effect, which verifies the rationality and effectiveness of the method and has specific practical significance. © 2022 ACM.

Multi-agent reinforcement learning (MRL) is the study of several agents (learning and acting part of the problem) living together in an environment to achieve the end goal. Using a reinforcement algorithm, the aim is to optimize the future rewards by predicting the appropriate action of the agent for reaching goal state. We have applied this theory to implement a simple game of hide and seek, where a team of seekers (multiple agents) would train themselves to seek a team of hiders and vice versa. The objective of the research paper is to study various reinforcement theories and algorithms like Temporal Difference Learning, Q-Learning, SARSA and select/choose an appropriate algorithm to implement a game of hide and seek. This paper also explains how we implemented the hide and seek game, with multiple agents and the insights that we came up with after observing the various episodes of the game in the environment. © 2022 IEEE.

Automatic lung cancer diagnosis has gradually become one of the new hot applications in computer vision community, whose goal is to identify and locate possible malignant lung nodules through computed tomographic (CT) scans. Benefiting from the rapid development and wide application of convolutional neural network (CNN), automatic lung cancer detection has provided more accurate outcomes through a more efficient way compared to human pathologist. In this paper, we provides a comprehensive and systematic survey of recent advances in automatic lung cancer diagnosis field. According to the difference of backbones, we detail the solution for nodules detection, main technical scheme and limitation of each algorithm separately. We further analyze the performance of representative methods on common data sets, and finally summary the existing problems in automatic lung cancer diagnosis and predict the solutions to these problems in the future. © 2022 IEEE.

Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is one of the most important automation equipment in Automated Container Terminal (ACT), the normal operation of AGV equipment plays a vital role in maintaining high efficiency and quality operation of ACT. In this paper, We propose an end-to-end fault detection algorithm for AGV equipment that obtains both spatially regular and temporally dimensional features from the sensor data, which introduces a two-tower model structure for fault detection. The attention network is used to learn the key variables in the sensor data, and the LSTM network is combined to learn the temporal dimensional features in the data to construct a two-tower model for fault detection. In addition, we provide a real dataset from AGV at Qingdao port container terminals to evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithm. The experimental results show that this algorithm outperforms better than existing methods in terms of classification performance, and can achieve 98.83% accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.
