With the rapid development of modern technology, aquaculture has begun to develop towards intelligence. Currently, in China, most water quality testing in aquaculture still uses traditional methods, which leads to inaccurate testing results, waste of labor and resources, and reduced yield. Therefore, this article proposes the use of Internet of Things technology to design an aquaculture water quality monitoring system. The designed aquaculture water quality monitoring system gateway and node communicate primarily through LoRa communication modules. The node acquisition module mainly includes temperature sensors, water level sensors, dissolved oxygen sensors, pH sensors, and turbidity sensors. The gateway and WeChat Mini Program communicate through the Alibaba Cloud platform to transmit data and issue commands. This system allows users to view real-time information using the WeChat Mini Program anytime and anywhere. It solves problems such as high or low water temperature, turbid water quality, excessive pH concentration during the breeding process that cannot be detected in real-time, improving breeding efficiency and yield. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In response to the strong coupling of the high voltage circuit in flyback converter of electronic security system, which requires optimization of a large number of parameters during design, this paper proposes a parameter design method for the high voltage circuit. After verifying the accuracy of the circuit model, simulation analysis was conducted by changing the input resistance, PWM signal duty cycle, switching frequency, and output doubling stage at the input voltage of 24 V, transformer turn ratio of 1:67, and load resistance of 6 MΩ. This method combines the working principle and theoretical formula of the flyback converter with the voltage and current curves of the transformer in the simulation results to analyze the impact of changes in parameters on the capacitor boost rate. The simulation results show that the capacitor boost rate is optimal when the input resistance is 1 Ω, the duty cycle is 0.4, and the switching frequency is 40 kHz. The physical circuit and simulation circuit have the same parameters, and the experimental results show that the circuit can output a voltage of 1200 V, which is basically consistent with the simulation results. This method can provide assistance for the design of the high voltage circuit in flyback converter, and significantly shorten the design period. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Globally, pneumonia remains the leading cause of mortality among infants, warranting immense attention from medical professionals. Expert radiologists commonly resort to chest X-rays to identify pneumonia and other respiratory ailments. However, the intricacies of this diagnostic process often result in disagreements among radiologists regarding the final diagnosis. To effectively mitigate the detrimental impact of pneumonia on patients, an early and accurate diagnosis becomes imperative. In this context, computer-aided diagnostics have emerged as a promising avenue to enhance the precision of pneumonia detection. Recent investigations have revealed that leveraging deep learning models yields more accurate predictions compared to conventional approaches. As part of our current research endeavour, we introduce a novel model named DepneumoNet specifically designed for pneumonia detection utilizing chest X-ray images. Through rigorous experimentation and analysis, the proposed DepneumoNet architecture has demonstrated a commendable accuracy level of 86.2% in accurately identifying pneumonia cases. This paper presents the remarkable capabilities of the Equilibrium (EQ) system, developed by the authors, towards accurately capturing kinetic and temporal data for various activities. The EQ system demonstrated its superiority over existing devices as documented in the literature through a comprehensive study. Notably, it overcomes the limitations of traditional gait analysis labs by offering a cost-effective, time-efficient, portable, and scalable solution. The findings highlight the significant advancements achieved by the EQ system in the field of gait analysis, providing a practical and comprehensive solution for diverse applications. The key contributions of this paper will show the capabilities of the Equilibrium (EQ) system by addressing all the major drawbacks of the functionalities as compared to a standard gait/biomechanics analysis lab, computing Vertical Ground Reaction Force (VGRF) for multiple activities with better accuracy than the other wearable solutions presented in the literature and computes temporal parameters such as stance-swing times in a gait test and full-body air time in a jump test. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

D2D communication plays a vital role in the Internet of Things within the framework of 5G technology. Within D2D communication, resource allocation stands out as a critical research area aimed at enhancing the capabilities of 5G communication for IoT applications. In our proposed work, we begin by establishing a mathematical framework designed to minimize energy consumption in the allocation of frequency bands, utilizing a novel algorithm. Subsequently, we harness the core principles of this algorithm through the application of three distinct optimization methods: (i) the genetic algorithm, (ii) the simulated annealing approach, and (iii) the coalition game theory technique. The analysis and results derived from these methodologies shed light on the individual contributions of these optimization techniques and allow us to conduct a comparative analysis, focusing on convergence patterns. In photovoltaic applications, transformer-less inverters are used mostly because of their advantages like higher efficiency, reduced size, and lower cost. Unfortunately, in the absence of transformer, leakage current flows in the circuit. For safety requirements, in a transformer-less inverter, the leakage current should be eliminated. So, the leakage current should be eliminated with the lower number of components used in the circuit, thus reducing the cost and the conduction losses in the circuit. In this brief, discussion of different types of topologies used to reduce or eliminate the leakage current. Multilevel inverters are used in this because of their advantages like dv/dt, low THD output, reduced electromagnetic interference, low switching frequency, etc. Photovoltaic panel is low voltage;so, voltage balancing and voltage boosting circuit are used in a lot of topologies so that there will be no requirement of using extra circuit for boosting the voltage. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The advent of autonomous driving technology has spurred interest in autonomous vehicle platooning to enhance traffic efficiency and road safety. This research conducts a comparative analysis of two prominent control techniques, Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control and Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) control, in the context of autonomous vehicle platooning. The study aims to assess the significance of these control strategies in achieving and maintaining desired inter-vehicle distances and overall platoon coordination. The analysis considers several critical factors, including control performance, adaptability, robustness, and continuity, to comprehensively evaluate PID and LQR controllers. While PID controllers offer simplicity and ease of tuning, LQR controllers are known for their precision and optimization capabilities. The research investigates how these control methods perform in various scenarios, considering factors such as changing vehicle dynamics and external disturbances. As renewable energy sources in the grid increase, the utilization of distributed power sources has become a research focus, with the parallel connection of multiple small power sources to provide high-power output becoming a research hotspot. When two systems with different current sharing modes are connected in parallel, current sharing cannot be realized because information cannot be exchanged through communication links. Therefore, the Hall sensor is used in this study to collect the output current of the original system. Since the current sharing control strategy already exists in the original system, the average sampling current is taken as the output current when the original system reaches the current equalization state. Based on the historical data and the diffusion algorithm, the initial current value and the average normalized value of the power module in the new system are obtained. The output current is adjusted by module proportional operation, and the sample mean is used as the reference information of output current between different systems to realize output current adjustment. Finally, a simulation model is built in Matlab/Simulink, and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by experiments, and the collaborative current sharing control between different systems is realized. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

IR drop estimation is now considered a first-order metric due to the concern about reliability and performance in modern electronic products. Since traditional solution involves lengthy iteration and simulation flow, how to achieve fast yet accurate estimation has become an essential demand. In this work, with the help of modern AI acceleration techniques, we propose a comprehensive solution to combine both the advantages of image-based and netlist-based features in neural network framework and obtain high-quality IR drop prediction very effectively in modern designs. A customized convolutional neural network (CNN) is developed to extract PDN features and make static IR drop estimations. Trained and evaluated with the open-source dataset, experiment results show that we have obtained the best quality in the benchmark on the problem of IR drop estimation in ICCAD CAD Contest 2023, proving the effectiveness of this important design topic. © 2024 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s).
