In the post-epidemic era, for quickly and accurately screening people with abnormal body temperature in small crowds and providing efficient methods for epidemic control, a multi-functional identification thermometer was designed and produced. The device uses the Raspberry PI GIS camera to accurately locate the face and identify the identity information of the measured person. The device uses the AMG8833 infrared array thermal sensor for infrared temperature measurement and the HC-SR04 ultrasonic ranging module for temperature compensation. Through multiple temperature compensation experiments, the measurement error is maintained between ±0.2°C. Based on the mathematical model of temperature compensation, the device can match the identity of people with abnormal body temperature through the database. The research results show that the device is of great significance for improving the efficiency of epidemic prevention and management cost control. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Understanding the differences of high accuracy and data driven customer behaviour is one of the essential components of success in the e-commerce industry because customer behaviour varies from person to person depending on their segmentations. Owners will be able to recognise their desired customers by comprehending customer behaviour. They will be able to better target their marketing efforts, boost sales, and control costs. Applications of artificial intelligence in this area have a significant positive effect on operations. The most attributes that can influence a customer’s behaviour can be found and predicted by business partners using a data mining prediction model. The current study therefore identifies better ways to improve business decision-making through the use of AI and data analytics, which will aid in comprehending customer behaviour. This research, brings forth ideas and concepts to make models more data driven and more accurate through a more reactive approach on model designing, through clever infrastructural designing. This paper proves that the proposed method can assure users to get better results through reactive-data methodologies. With the development of high-speed RF circuits and high-voltage switches, the enhancement-mode (E-mode) GaN-based high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) have become a hot topic in those fields. In this work, to improve the device performance of E-mode HEMT, p-GaN gate combined with recessed-gate was proposed. Moreover, the influence of structure parameters such as Al component and thickness of AlGaN barrier layer and the depth of recessed gate on device performance were investigated systematically by theoretical simulation. The results show that the saturation current increases and threshold voltage decreases with the increasing of Al component and thickness of AlGaN barrier layer. In addition, the saturation current decreases and threshold voltage increases with the increasing of the recessed gate depth. So, to obtain relative larger threshold voltage and saturation current, the Al component and thickness of the AlGaN barrier layer and the recessed gate depth for the p-GaN gate HEMT combined with recessed-gate structure should be moderate. © 2023 SPIE. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is usually used to detect unknown underground structure information, but it is very difficult to extract the underground target structure information from original GPR signal. This paper aims to solve the inversion problem by deep learning method. The two-dimensional ground penetrating radar B-scan signal is converted into intuitive underground structure information by neural network. In this paper, the DeepLab network proposed by Google is improved to solve the problem of permittivity inversion of GPR signal images. We verify the network using simulated data, which is generated by Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) algorithm. Finally we quantitatively evaluate the performance of our network by comparing it with some existing deep learning inversion networks. © 2023 SPIE.

Swarm intelligence algorithms have a large number of applications in solving robot path planning problems. The traditional artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm has strong global ability, large randomness, however there are problems such as the more nodes, the higher the path complexity. In this study, node movement artificial bee colony algorithm (NMABC) is proposed overcome the disadvantages of the traditional ABC in solving robot path planning problems. The NMABC algorithm contains two novel mechanisms which are the improved initial path generation way and the neighborhood search method of the iterative path of the employed bee. The experimental results show that the NMABC has good global search capability and fast iterative convergence, and it can find the optimal path quickly. © 2023 SPIE.

Learning how to program has become a trend in Taiwan even for younger students. IoT is a topic to interest new learners in programming. Given the fact that there are already plenty of tools e.g. Micro:bit and Arduino designed to make IoT programming simple and full of fun, it is usually believed that adopting IoT topics is beneficial for younger students learning how to program. However, younger students' learning performance in programming courses varies dramatically depending on the tools mentioned above. There are many metrics to predict the academic achievements of young students. Among them, the operation span is an objective one. Operation span mainly assesses one's working memory capacity. According to the research results, one's working memory capacity predicts individual high-level cognitive performance. Furthermore, students' cognitive performance was highly related to their learning performance in programming courses. Nevertheless, the relationship between operation span and the learning performance of programming courses for junior high school students has not been researched yet. In Taiwan, computer programming has already been included as a mandatory subject in the junior high school curriculum for developing students' computational thinking and problem-solving skills. As such, understanding the relationship between OSPAN and programming performance is crucial for effective teaching and learning in this subject. We designed an experiment for an IoT-related after-school club in a junior high school to evaluate the relationship between students' operation span and learning performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays, sensors have become an integral part of human lives. Generaly, sensors are considered as the fastest sensing device, which can sense the environment and transmit the data in a fraction of second. Most of the tracking systems use sensors to navigate anything. Several types of sensors are currently used to transfer data in any medium. Every day, numerous vehicular accidents are reported in India. Most of the accidents occur due to the lack of safety precautions. Hence, this research study aims to develop a sensor based model for preventing accidents. The proposed model integrates the distributed systems, cyber-physical system and suspension control sensors. The proposed model is then integrated into the moving vehicles for monitoring the roadway and the surrounding environment. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

In this paper, a small quadrotor UAV equipped with an RGB-D camera is selected to track the pedestrian in an unknown and complex environment. The UAV system uses the on-board sensors to sense the environment and detects the target to be tracked. The PP-PicoDet algorithm is used to solve the problem of rapid detection of target pedestrian detection, then key point detection is used to solve the problem that the target is obscured and unable to locate the target. At the same time, the EGO-Planner planner is improved to realize the autonomous obstacle avoidance of the UAV system in complex environments and the pedestrian tracking. Finally the pedestrian tracking framework is implemented and verified through simulation experiments. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

To solve the problems of insufficient local search capability and easily falling into local optimization in the aquila optimizer (AO), an aquila optimizer integrating Gaussian walk and somersault strategy (AO-IGWSS) is proposed. Strengthening the exploitation ability, a Gaussian walk strategy is used instead of Levy flight to generate step size adaptively controlled by iteration numbers. Furthermore, to enhance the capability of local optima avoidance, a somersault strategy is introduced to update individuals. The experimental results on 9 benchmark test functions prove that the AO-IGWSS can achieve better results than the original AO algorithm, the differential evolution mutation and tangent flight aquila optimizer (DEtanAO), and four other intelligent optimization algorithms. © 2023 SPIE.

Cricket is globally a famous game in which different technologies are being used to help the umpire in correct decision management. The bowl delivery is whether a fair one or LBW which is generally a matter of concern. Sometimes the decision of third umpire also goes wrong. This kind of error in making the decision can change the dimension of the game so, it is essential to make the decision precisely. This paper proposes computer vision and image subtraction technique. At first, it must figure out that whether a delivery is no-ball or the fair one, for that image processing method is used on popping crease by detecting the pixel size. If the delivery is a fair one then, it will track the movement of the ball by using the colour segmentation method, video processing on the pitch.
