The future power system is anticipated to have a significant amount of distributed generation (DG) interfaced with inverters. Major concern is to control the inverters and provide stability to the microgrid system. Traditionally, the multiloop and single loop control topologies are extensively reported as to form grid-forming control in literature. Despite having so similar, the stability characteristics and dynamic performance of multi loop and single loop control are different. Virtual synchronous generator (VSG), has also been acknowledged as a powerful tool for microgrid control that helps the islanded power electronic systems through inertia and damping support. This paper explores the implementation of an adaptive VSG on the grid-forming multi-loop and single loop control configurations. A small signal stability model has been developed for both the configurations, based on which the stability assessment is performed. The same has also been verified through simulation studies as well. A typical microgrid, having three phase inverter with constant DC voltage input and an LC filter, connecting to the load through distribution line is considered for analysis. Detailed simulation studies are carried out in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment in discretized mode to verify the effectiveness of both the control loops, at different loading conditions. Results demonstrate that the single loop control with reduced order and complexity is as efficient as the double loop control. Additionally, the suggested control technique has successfully undergone a processor-in-loop (PIL) validation utilizing a TI C2000 microcontroller. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to realize the panoramic monitoring of distribution network dispatching business and the sharing application of graphs and models, a dynamic analysis technology of distribution network graphs and models based on multi-source data analysis is proposed. Firstly, the basic concept and update method of the distribution network diagram are explained, and the basic hierarchical structure of the distribution network diagram is explained. The basic structure and functions of the control cloud are proposed, and the graph data structure and data analysis interaction process based on the control cloud are explained. The dynamic analysis technology of distribution network graph and model based on multi-source data is proposed, and the functions of automatic graph generation, topology automatic recognition, automatic generation of set path, and real-time data transmission are discussed in detail. Computing-in-memory (CIM) is a promising technique for energy-efficiently conducting the massive amount of required multiply-And-Accumulate (MAC) calculations in neural networks (NNs). The read-decoupled 8T (rd8T) SRAM cell is popular in the CIM designs because of being read disturbance free. However, local process variations may lead significant errors to the CIM results. This work proposes an accurate on-chip test circuit design for characterizing the output current of every rd8T SRAM cell in a 8-kb rd8T SRAM array fabricated in 90nm CMOS. The experimental results show the detailed and accurate spatial distribution of the rd8T cells which helps optimize the CIM circuit design. © 2023 IEEE.

The worst-case execution time (WCET) of tasks running on a multi-core system is largely affected by the competition over shared resources, such as memory bandwidth and last-level cache (LLC). Therefore, the system can benefit from task scheduling and resource allocation methods that make effective use of shared resources, in terms of improving system schedulability. However, most existing scheduling and allocation methods only consider one single type of resource, e.g., memory bandwidth and LLC, and rely on static analysis that requires lower-level task details, e.g., instruction and data usage. This undermines both the applicability and effectiveness of these methods on ever-complex multi-core real-time systems. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a Holistic Offline task Scheduling and Shared resource allocation (HOSS) framework based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL). Given a set of tasks and the underlying hardware platform, HOSS provides the collective solution of task scheduling as well as memory bandwidth and LLC allocation. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can effectively improve system schedulability with low scheduling overhead. © 2023 IEEE.

Stride detection plays a vital role in the Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) algorithm, and the accuracy of stride detection will directly affect the accuracy of PDR algorithm. In particular, missed detection and false detection are critical problems in stride detection. For traditional stride detection algorithms, such as peak detection and zero-crossing detection, the thresholds need to be set in advance. However, due to the peak acceleration and stride frequency are not fixed during walking, it is difficult to determine the threshold of peak detection and the zero position of zero-crossing detection. Aiming at the problems existing in the traditional stride detection algorithms, a new stride detection algorithm based on triaxial acceleration characteristics of pedestrians is proposed. The algorithm uses smartphones to obtain acceleration data based on hand posture. After data processing, the algorithm uses peak detection as the first detection condition, and uses dynamic time warping (DTW) to perform similarity matching on the triaxial acceleration of pedestrians as the second detection condition for stride detection. Finally, the stride detection experiments are carried out on experimenters of different heights, and the results show that the algorithm can effectively filter out abnormal strides and improve the accuracy of stride detection. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper summarizes the shared task on multimodal abusive language detection and sentiment analysis in Dravidian languages as part of the third Workshop on Speech and Language Technologies for Dravidian Languages at RANLP 2023. This shared task provides a platform for researchers worldwide to submit their models on two crucial social media data analysis problems in Dravidian languages - abusive language detection and sentiment analysis. Abusive language detection identifies social media content with abusive information, whereas sentiment analysis refers to the problem of determining the sentiments expressed in a text. This task aims to build models for detecting abusive content and analyzing fine-grained sentiment from multimodal data in Tamil and Malayalam. The multimodal data consists of three modalities - video, audio and text. The datasets for both tasks were prepared by collecting videos from YouTube. Sixty teams participated in both tasks. However, only two teams submitted their results. For many domestic supply chain information systems, most of them are imperfect in details, incomplete in functional modules, and lack of convincing solutions in system integration. This paper develops a foreign trade supply chain information system based on fuzzy clustering algorithm. Therefore, this paper improves the fuzzy clustering algorithm and applies it in supplier selection. The main idea of the improvement is divided into two steps. The first step is to cluster all objects in a small range by hierarchical clustering to generate initial clusters;The second step is to find out the cluster with a large number of objects in the initial cluster, compare the sum of distances obtained by various selection methods, and choose the one with the smallest sum of distances as the best choice. The research results prove the feasibility of the algorithm. The calculation time of the improved algorithm is not much different from that of the simple hierarchical aggregation algorithm, but the clustering effect is not as good as that of the improved algorithm. The main reason is that the hierarchical aggregation algorithm is irreversible and the operation of merging clusters cannot be corrected, which may lead to the low quality of clustering results. The improved algorithm overcomes this shortcoming, thus making the calculation result more accurate. © 2023 SPIE.

The stable and economic operation of the power grid cannot be achieved without accurate prediction of PV plant power. To address the problem of unstable clustering quality of the fuzzy c-mean clustering algorithm, this paper proposes to combine the genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm to optimize the FCM clustering algorithm, and then combine it with XGBoost to construct a short-term PV power generation prediction model. Firstly, the robustness of the clustering algorithm is improved. Secondly, the differences in power generation characteristics under different weather types are considered, and the prediction models under three typical weather types are separately trained. Finally, to verify the improvement of the model on prediction accuracy, different clustering methods are used to compare the prediction results, and the results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper has higher accuracy compared with the other three methods. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The cycle life and health of a lithium-ion battery pack are impacted due to the cell imbalance, thereby constraining the optimum performance of the application. The charge equalization circuit (CEC) is an integrated unit of the battery management system responsible for equalizing the imbalanced cells. The switched capacitor (SC) CECs are a cost-effective active charge equalization solution that offers high power density and control simplicity compared to other CECs. The series-parallel switch capacitor (SPSC) topology is developed to improve voltage balancing by allowing parallel charge transfer operations among series cells. Due to the conventional switching algorithm, the equalization operation in SPSC necessitates the participation of each series cell until the balanced state is achieved. The energy loss resulting from the equalization process is increased as a result of the operation of multiple switches. This paper proposes three equalization algorithms for SRSP topology that have successfully achieved independent balancing control of each cell and optimized utilization of each switched capacitor to minimize operational loss. For validation, simulation and modeling are carried out in the PLECS environment using 14 series cells, where a 9% improvement in equalization time is recorded using proposed switching operation during equalization. © 2023 IEEE.
