In this era of new technology, human life is getting simpler day by day due to the advancement in internet of things (IoT) technology. Similarly, the population is growing rapidly which results in the necessity of huge agricultural goods. Tomeet that need there is a need for making the irrigation process smart using IoT. This paper aims to design and implement an IoT based smart irrigation system, which can reduce manual labor and maximize the productivity of crops. This system is automatically controlled through microcontroller to monitor the moisture level of crops, humidity & temperature and send messages to the farmers about the agricultural field conditions through GSM system for their further perusal. The system is very simple, and it needs less power. Further, a sun tracking system is installed in the irrigative system which helpsthe solar panel to track the sun for powering up the irrigation system. The simulation of the overall system is conducted in Proteus platform and a prototype is developed to validate the performance of the system. From the results it has been observed that the system is able to monitor the agricultural fieldconditions accurately along with informing the farmers about the conditions for further actions. © 2023 IEEE.

Skin cancer is one of the dangerous diseases which causes human death. It is originated by the abnormal growth of melanocytic cells. The malignant Skin cancer is also referred by another name as melanoma. The key source for the computer aided diagnosis is Dermoscopy image which acquires the skin cancer. Fortunately, a high percentage of skin cancers can be cured if they are found early. Automatic early detection approaches are being used as quick and practical skin cancer screening due to the expense and morbidity of this biopsy procedure. The existing methods of melanoma detection meet-up the demerits such as less accuracy, false segmentation and more time consumption. To overcome these issues, the proposed High performance Deep Learning Architecture method for classifying the skin cancer. It involves three types of techniques are used for comparison study are MobileNet, ResNeXt101, and Multi-Model Ensemble. The performance metrics used for the comparison are accuracy, precision, and recall. The comparison of the accuracy value for MobileNet, ResNeXt101 and Multi-model ensemble techniques are 97.2%, 84.2% and 86% respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the advent of Internet information technology, data mining technology has been applied in various fields of China's social and industrial development, and has promoted the quality development of the industry [1]. Nowadays, people are widely influenced by Internet computer technology, and the application of computer technology has been indispensable in life, work and study. At the same time, data mining technology arises from Internet communication technology and is used as an important technical means of operation and development by various industries, especially the application of data mining technology in university software engineering teaching is becoming more and more widespread, but there are still many unavoidable problems that require scholars to pay more attention. The article analyzes and discusses the significance of applying data mining technology in software engineering [2], and on this basis, the application path of data mining technology in software engineering database design is proposed, including: mining information, mining loopholes, mining execution records and open source. It is hoped that relevant technology users can efficiently apply data mining technology to make software engineering It is more reasonable and efficient, so that software engineering can be further developed. This paper presents the implementation and performance analysis of the teacher management decision-making system based on data mining, and introduces the implementation process of the system in detail. © 2023 The Authors. To achieve non-contact automatic measurement of packaging cases in the transportation process of the logistics industry, such as secondary packaging, transshipment, and warehousing, a machine vision dimension measurement system based on binocular stereo vision was proposed. Firstly, the method of combining the SURF algorithm with FREAK descriptor improves the execution efficiency of the algorithm while ensuring the acquisition of better identification feature points;Then, the MISMATCHING feature points are eliminated through the PROSAC mechanism, and the initial disparity map is optimized using bilateral filtering. The spatial information of the measured object is obtained through three-dimensional reconstruction;Finally, a combination of Canny edge detection and Harris corner detection is used to extract the edge information of the object, and the geometric description of the external contour of the target object is obtained through line fitting and calculate the precise size of the measured object through the modified three-dimensional space volume. The experimental results show that this method can effectively identify and describe the shape of various specifications of the measured object, and the measurement error and real-time performance can solve the industrial requirements of the logistics industry. © 2023 SPIE.

With the continuous development of automotive driving automation, scenario-based automated driving test evaluation methods have become an industry consensus. However, in terms of scenarios, the industry still relies on the subjective experience of experts to formulate evaluation plans, lacking scientific and quantitative evaluation methods, resulting in the problems of limited scenario coverage and low testing efficiency, which affect the mass production process of products. Therefore, this paper proposes a scene complexity evaluation method based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and information entropy theory, which realizes the automatic quantitative evaluation of test scene complexity and makes up for the lack of theoretical research on industry test scene. Finally, the method proposed in this paper quantitatively analyzes the complexity of typical scenarios in the Autonomous Driving Evaluation Project of CATARC, summarizes the key factors affecting the complexity of the scenario, and verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. © 2023 SPIE. The popularity of lithium-ion batteries for energy storage purposes has increased significantly in recent years. Lithium-ion battery packs typically contain multiple individual cells connected in series to attain the desired voltage level. Over time, due to factors such as differences in manufacturing tolerances, operating conditions, and aging, some cells may develop imbalances in their state of charge, resulting in some cells being overcharged and others being undercharged. Cell equalization helps to prevent these issues by equalizing the SOC of all cells within the battery pack. This is typically done by actively transferring charge between the cells, using energy-storing elements such as capacitors or inductors, to ensure that they are all at the same state of charge. Capacitor-based active cell equalization has been studied in this paper because they have a simpler controlling mechanism as well as its implementation costs are less. In this work, switched capacitor, double-tiered switched capacitor, and chain-structure switched capacitor-based equalization techniques have been implemented and compared using MATLAB/ Simulink modelling for a series combination of 4 lithium-ion cells having 3.7V and 2.6A ratings with initial SOC variation as 15%. The cells are considered to be balanced when the maximum SOC difference between them reaches less than 1% in order to equalize the cells identically to each other. The results show that the double-tiered equalization technique takes 56 minutes less than the switched capacitor and 37 minutes chain-structure-based techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

Diabetes has become a modern epidemic. Globally, the prevalence rate of diabetes is high and it tends to even higher. WHO reports, globally around 1.3 billion peoples suffer from some form of eye related diseases. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the leading cause of vision loss among working-age individuals and represents the most common repercussion of diabetes. Early DR diagnosis and therapy might stop or postpone its progression and subsequent vision loss. However, manual screening of DR is time-consuming and subject to inter-observer variability. Therefore, computer-aided methods for automated DR detection are of great interest. This article proposes the computer aided, automated DR detection approach. Initially anisotropic diffusion filtering is employed for pre-processing of retinal fundus images. In segmentation, the anatomical structures are identified and eliminated. The DR lesions segmentation is performed using active contour and modified Tsallis entropy approach. Active contour models, also known as snakes, have been extensively used for medical image segmentation and boundary detection. These models use an energy minimization approach to detect the contours of objects in an image. Finally feature extraction and classification of DR lesions is achieved with the help of Gray Wolf optimizer. Gray Wolf Optimizer (GWO) is an emerging optimization algorithm that draws inspiration from the hunting behavior of gray wolves. It has shown promising results in various optimization problems, including medical image segmentation. In this research work, we propose a novel method for DR detection using active contour and GWO. Our approach combines the strengths of these two techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of DR detection. We evaluate developed method using a publicly available dataset and compare its performance with recent DR detection approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

Conventionally, the water sample need to be sent to laboratory for lab analysis and take about 2-3 months. Therefore, the development and analysis of on-the-go water monitoring system using unmanned surface vehicle (USV) is proposed. The developed USV with the water monitoring system can measure and analyze the water pollution on the-go to and real time to determine the pollution level. The ISE sensor such as temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), oxidation reduction potential (ORP), dissolved oxygen (DO) and turbidity with the GPS device is used on the. The USV also developed with auto navigation through all the targeted area by using GPS coordinate and path planning algorithm programmed in the USV controller. In this project, we use the IoT application to store data in the cloud and to dispense the information. The correlation of the ISE sensor and the lab analysis will be done. This system will also give out status of the water quality and immediate warning if the water is in the bad quality for further action to be taken by the management of the reservoir. Last but not least, the contribution of this research is that the use of USV helps to improve sensing and monitoring of water quality in remote area. © 2023 IEEE.

We have studied the application platform of college English teaching based on Hadoop data bus. The working principle of college English teaching application research is to use artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the content of each curriculum plan for learners, and then use this information to create a personalized learning plan with customized exercises. These customized courses are provided through interactive video lectures driven by artificial intelligence, which are synchronized with students’ personal devices or computers so that they can learn at their own pace. Power generation in buildings plays an important role in promoting carbon neutrality in the building sector. Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) could provide energy (electricity) to buildings and thus decrease carbon footprint by buildings’ operation. With the price of photovoltaic (PV) continues to decrease, BIPV is increasingly being studied and applied in academic and engineering fields. As a comparatively novel technology, BIPV faces a series of problems to be solved in practical applications, such as selections of PV components materials, methods to ensure structural safety, ways for heat dissipation of PV system, selections of PV color, determinations of light transmission and shading performance.
