The importance of security has skyrocketed alongside the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) services. Software-defined networking (S DN) provides a means of securely managing IoT devices, which were exposed in a current distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. Many IoT devices unwittingly contributed to the DDoS attack. DDoS attacks, one of the most common types of cyberattack, are particularly pernicious since they can cripple a network's ability to function and render many of its services inaccessible to users. This research used optimised deep learning-based models to detect DDoS in SDN. At first, the dataset's normal and DDoS attack traffic characteristics were gathered from the SDN. The models are recommended to be simpler, easier to read, and to have a shorter training period when using an NSL-KDD dataset for feature selection approaches. Real-time DDoS attack detection in SDN is proposed in this research using an Long Short-Term Memory (LS TM) models. High accuracy in classification is achieved by utilising an artificial gorilla troop optimizer to pick the features of NSL-KDD. Using less time and material, the proposed IDS was able to achieve a detection accuracy of 97.59%. These findings provide encouraging evidence that DDoS attack detection in SDN could benefit from the use of deep learning and feature selection techniques, which could significantly reduce processing loads and runtimes. © 2023 IEEE.

Photo caption generators had gained huge recognition recently from the areas of NLP and computer vision. These generators produce captions that explain an image's content using deep learning algorithms. A sizable collection of image-caption pairs is used to train the algorithm. The photos are fed into a pre-trained CNN after the dataset has undergone preprocessing to extract its visual properties. Along with the picture features, the necessary captions are tokenized and supplied to the LSTM decoder. In order to accelerate the caption generation process, the LSTM decoder is trained to utilize beam search and maximum likelihood estimation methods. To assess the effectiveness of the suggested model, several metrics such as BLEU and METEOR are employed. The suggested CNN-LSTM image caption generator has a lot of promise for use in a variety of contexts, such as picture comprehension, information retrieval, and assistive technology for the blind. Combining CNN and LSTM models takes advantage of each architecture's capabilities, allowing the model to produce insightful and contextually appropriate captions for a variety of images. We also explore present difficulties and potential directions for additional investigation in this area. This research study concludes by presenting an innovative method for creating image captions that combines the strength of CNN and LSTM. The experimental outcomes demonstrate the efficacy and reliability of the suggested model, highlighting its potential to advance the field of image captioning and contribute to the creation of intelligent systems that can comprehend visual content and produce precise and insightful textual descriptions. © 2023 IEEE.

Warehouse management is an important part of the production process. As a result of the development of technology, more and more companies tend to use automated logistics technologies such as AVS/RS to handle the internal logistics of the production system. Especially in multi-floor workshops, the production process on each floor are connected with each other through AVS/RS. It is becoming more and more important to study the integration process of AVS/RS and multi-floor workshop production process. In this paper, an integrated queuing network model of multi-floor workshop and AVS/RS was established, and a calculation method of system performance index was proposed. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method are demonstrated by comparing the results with simulations from numerical experiments. The work of this article can provide a basis for the design of autonomous vehicle storage and retrieve systems in multi-floor workshop, and the calculation method can be used as the support of WMS technology base. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Green cloud computing is an innovative term widely used in the technical industry. The introduction of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the technical industry also came in the spotlight. The green concept of the cloud computing system suggests the importance of environment protection. This paper outlines the combination of the technology and nature which provides complex consequences for the same. Also, the paper elucidates the security threats that might affect the data privacy of the users if the green cloud computation comes into existence. The paper has used previous existing literature as the methodology for research. We discussed the emerging system of green cloud computing in depth and highlighted key points for the better implementation of the system. Cloud computing has increased the extent of technical industry as well as the expectations of the users. In this paper, we discussed about the security parameters that are related to the implementation of the green cloud computing. This paper gave a descriptive point of view about the significance of data privacy which is a major issue in the technical industry. The people have relied upon the cloud computing for the storage of their critical data and any compromise with the data security can hamper the growth of the cloud computing industry. Moreover, we precisely discussed about the major reasons affecting the data privacy in green cloud computing, if launched in the market officially. Thus, the entire paper rests on the implementation of green cloud computing and the security threats that it will bring along with it. Technical industry cannot compromise their users' data privacy while protecting the environment and vice-verse. © 2023 IEEE.

Underwater object detection has numerous applications, including marine research, habitat inspection, mineral identification, and more. Taking high-quality photographs or videos underwater can be difficult because water absorbs and scatters light, which can make images appear unclear or distorted. As water depth increases, longer wavelengths of light are absorbed, resulting in predominantly blue-green images, while reds are absorbed due to their higher wavelengths. This leads to image degradation, including low contrast, color distortion, and poor visibility, making it challenging to detect objects in underwater images. Therefore, enhancing underwater images is crucial to improve their quality for various applications while retaining the valuable information they contain. However, low light conditions can negatively affect detection performance, and the image's light composition significantly impacts subject detection. To enhance the detection outcomes, it is possible to utilize low-light image enhancement as a preliminary mechanism aimed at ameliorating the quality of the image Nevertheless, current enhancement methods may not work well in all situations due to the complexity of the wavelength environment. To tackle this issue, our solution involves a twostage process comprising of an enhancement phase followed by a detection phase. In the enhancement phase, we use multiple enhancement methods to automatically enhance low-light images and generate corresponding weights that are better suited for detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays, voting is done electronically, which has various characteristics which is different from current voting methods. Though there are many demerits in the e-voting systems like voter fraud, requires high security features, damages to the machines can cause the problem of loss of votes. This provides many of the advanced features compared to the other voting mechanisms. These drawbacks can overcome by Online E-Voting with joint biological identity-based authentication such face and finger print based biometric authentication system. The feature extraction process uses the algorithm of Haar-Cascade for face recognition and Minutiae features for finger print recognition. The biometric data are encrypted and stored in voting database secure manner. These details are stored in database for further validation. The encryption process utilizes the ECC algorithm. For login process user will check using OTP and voter id details. Then the biometric verification is processing for predicting user authentication. Then voters are allowed to make vote for specific candidate. Blockchain is an emerging technology which is used for securing the votes and hashes in cryptography is used for the verification of the voters. A Successful vote can be considered as a transaction in blockchain. Each vote is stored as a block in the backend database of the blockchain. This offers features like one person one vote of the voting mechanism. The user-friendly interface fosters a seamless voting experience, while robust security features safeguard against fraud and multiple voting. © 2023 IEEE.

Many instances remain untreated globally due to the lack and unavailability of medical services. In this regard, efficient monitoring and analysis of medical records will be helpful in timely identification and prediction of diseases. To enable a quicker and more precise diagnosis, a platform that keeps track of a patient's medical history and makes illness predictions based on the patient's present symptoms is needed. Early disease prediction allows users to determine the severity of a condition and take appropriate action timely. Thus, anticipation of illness in its early stage becomes essential but it's difficult for doctors to anticipate outcomes precisely and accurately based only on symptoms. Availability of medical data and its analysis with the help of machine learning techniques can help the healthcare system for appropriate predictions and recommendations of diseases. In this paper, based on the patient's symptoms and medical records, a general illness prediction system is proposed. Using the input image for disease prediction, we applied an ensemble model exploiting the KNN, SVM, Naïve bayes and deep learning techniques to accurately predict diseases. The proposed model superseded the existing techniques with 98% accuracy on experimental study performed using benchmark datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

This work is focused on the exploration of the potential of Group IV alloy based nanostructured photodetector which can perform well in smart city environment. The theoretical model for multiple quantum well detector based on Germanium Tin (GeSn) alloy working in short wave infrared range (SWIR) is proposed after considering various design aspects. In this work, detectivity is estimated for SiGeSn/GeSn based interband multiple quantum well infrared photodetector. Detectivity is calculated by using responsivity and dark current, assuming appropriate conditions. After calculation, it is studied under variation of some important parameters. The result reveals the enhancement of detectivity with number of wells. It also indicates that the low biasing range is quite sufficient to make the proposed device work efficiently. Moreover, peak detectivity in the tune of 109 cm Hz1/2 W−1 is attained. © 2023, ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

Various regions around the country are currently dealing with severe shortages of energy supply. The research and development of an energy-efficient 4-bit counter using the Vivado software platform and a number of FPGA families has advanced environmentally aware communication. This was accomplished by bringing together a variety of FPGA families. Genesys, Kintex, and Virtex are the three distinct FPGA families with seven distinct series for each. This was done in an effort to find the FPGA series that consumes the least amount of power overall. The Genesys, Kintex, and Virtex families each use power levels that are 3.863, 2.789, and 8.765, respectively. Comparing the temperatures of Genesys, Kintex, and Virtex, which are respectively 53.1, 71.1, and 70.2 °C. Using the Genesys family of 7 series of components rather than either of the other two families can result in a decrease in the amount of power that is lost due to dissipation, as specified in the instructions. Kintex has an energy efficiency that is comparable to that of other FPGA families. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
