Bionics is a subject that studies various excellent characteristics such as the structure, function and information control of organisms. These characteristics will give us a lot of inspiration in terms of mechanical design and will also provide new construction ideas for practical engineering applications. In this paper, based on the structural characteristics of the natural biological snake, a bionic snake-like robot with a meandering posture is designed. Bionic snake-like robot uses STM32F103ZET6 MCU and 16-way servo control board as the main control unit. The servo provides the driving force. Through the use of pulleys and various sensors, functions such as various attitude movements and real-Time detection are realized. Using Solidworks software to carry out 3D modeling of the bionic snake-like robot and make a bionic snake-like robot model for experimental testing. The physical model size is 120mm*120mm*850mm. The results show that: on a relatively flat ground, the time for the bionic snake-like robot to move through a horizontal distance of 1m is about 5.50s. The bionic snake-like robot runs stably during the test and has no stuttering phenomenon. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

In the modern world, the use of IoT devices and emerging technologies are contributing to a daily escalation in data generation. Numerous novel approaches are arising to handle such copious amounts of data. The utilization of this data in making decisions related to agriculture, combined with the integration of smart agriculture techniques, can enhance the conventional agricultural system. Smart agriculture relies heavily on the seamless integration and coordination of various devices. Data retrieval, storage, and analysis are some of the crucial tasks in this field. Data security, privacy, real-time decision-making, and semi-structured and unstructured data are some of the challenges and limitations of using traditional approaches when dealing with a high amount of generated data. For handling data and getting a real-time response in smart agriculture Probabilistic Data Structures (PDS) are used as an effective and efficient solution for various applications. Providing a thorough analysis of how PDS applications are utilized in the realm of smart agriculture is the main objective of this paper. This study takes an in-depth look into the important area of smart agriculture, examining its inception, obstacles, areas of research that require further exploration, and possible future paths. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive examination of PDS in smart agriculture, catering to readers and researchers who seek to expand their knowledge in this area. Additionally, this paper aims to identify potential research opportunities within this field. © 2023 IEEE.

Active suspension as an advanced vehicle vibration damping device has important application value, but the current research on the control strategy of the active suspension is mostly based on simulation mode, lacking experimental research. This paper presents a hardware-in-The-loop test research on the 1/4 vehicle active suspension test platform based on hardware-in-The-loop simulation techniques. Active suspension Simulink models of a linear quadratic regulator control strategy and an active suspension based on a modified reference skyhook model sliding mode control strategy are developed. Simulations are carried out under different road excitations (sinusoidal and bump) and the suspension performance evaluation parameters are determined so that the control effect can be evaluated and analyzed. The software for the hardware-in-The-loop test is the QUARC and the hardware consists of a computer, 1/4 vehicle active suspension test platform, data acquisition card and power amplifier. Compared to the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controlled active suspension, the sliding mode controlled (SMC) active suspension based on the reference skyhook model provides more significant improvements in the suspension performance indicators of sprung mass acceleration, suspension dynamic travel and tire dynamic load. The 1/4 vehicle active suspension hardware-in-The-loop test provides a basis for theory and broadens the research path for non-real vehicle validation. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

Nowadays, proper urban waste management is one the biggest concerns for maintaining a green and clean environment. An automatic waste segregation system can be a viable solution to improve the sustainability of the country and to boost up the circular economy. This paper proposes a machine to segregate the waste into the different parts with the help of smart object detection algorithm using ConvoWaste in the field of Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN), and image processing technique. In this paper, the deep learning and image processing techniques are applied to classify the waste precisely and the detected waste is placed inside the corresponding bins with the help of a servo motor-based system. This machine has the provision to notify the responsible authority regarding the waste level of the bins and the time to trash out the bins filled with garbage by using the ultrasonic sensors placed in each bin and the dual-band GSM-based communication technology. The entire system is controlled remotely through an android app in order to dump the separated waste in a desired place by its automation properties. The use of this system can aid the process of recycling resources that were initially destined to become waste, utilizing natural resources and turning these resources back into the usable products. Thus, the system helps to fulfill the criteria of circular economy through the resource optimization and extraction. Finally, the system is made to provide the services at a low cost with higher accuracy level in terms of the technological advancement in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We have got 98% accuracy for our ConvoWaste deep learning model. © 2023 IEEE.

A buck converter, sometimes known as a step-down converter, is a kind of DC-to-DC converter that belongs to the DC chopper family. Buck converters are a sort of switching power electrical device that is typically used to provide an alternating DC output voltage that is less than the constant DC input voltage source. The primary focus in the field of electronic appliances is on the root cause of harmonic distortion in a Buck converter system, where interference from harmonic signals frequently appears at both the input and output terminals of the load side, affecting the efficiency and performance of the buck converter. This research paper focuses on the load current ripple content and the harmonic problem encountered by a five-level buck converter. The research consists of ten buck converters with varying levels and two different loads, R load and RLC load, and all of these converters were used to compare one to the other as one of the objectives of this research. After repeated calculations, trial and error, and conclusion of the study hypothesis, the research got intriguing findings where the buck converter ripple and harmonic content were minimized by raising the buck converter level. © 2023 The Authors.

Hyperspectral image classification is one of the key technologies in hyperspectral image application. Since the number of bands in hyperspectral images is usually much larger than that in RGB images or multispectral images, it is necessary to reduce the dimensionality of the hyperspectral data of the target by using pre-trained models from other fields. However, this situation may lead to the loss of effective spectral information. Therefore, to overcome this problem, we propose a novel transfer learning framework based on Adaptive Spatial Spectral Relational Networks (ASSRN), which can be applied to knowledge transfer between different hyperspectral datasets. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments on several databases. The inspiring experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. © 2023 SPIE.

Retaining and recalling information from web pages can often feel like a daunting task, especially when faced with the vast amount of information contained within an article. However, researchers have come up with an innovative solution to tackle this. In this study, we propose a hybrid question-answering system that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to logically describe the data on a web page and then react to user inquiries. The system consists of a web scraper, named entity recognition module, and classifiers to learn more about the *** process begins with a web scraper, which gets the text from a certain online page and makes sure that the required data is gathered. The system learns more about the information by identifying and classifying items like persons, locations, organizations, or other pertinent phrases. The question-answering module uses a knowledge graph to provide accurate and comprehensive answers to user queries. Using benchmark datasets, we evaluated the system's performance to confirm the efficacy of their strategy. Across several datasets, the F1 score, which is a metric for precision and recall, varied from 0.7 to 0.95. The system can serve as a useful resource for information retrieval from web sites, according to these results, which show that it is able to provide users trustworthy responses to their questions. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at a point-To-point trajectory planning problem for industrial robots, we propose a method for time optimal optimization of trajectories in the robot joint space by employing the honey badger algorithm. Interpolation points at each joint are first acquired using robotic kinematics;Then, to enable the robot to smoothly complete the work task, a 4-5-4 piecewise polynomial is employed to interpolate its trajectory;Finally, we use the honey badger algorithm to optimize the interpolation time of the segmented polynomials to achieve the goal of optimal trajectory planning for the robot's time. The simulation through MATLAB software to obtain the change information of angular displacement, angular velocity and angular acceleration of each joint of the robot, under the restriction conditions that meet the kinematic parameters of the robot, the robot's motion time is shortened by 43.17% compared to that before optimization, which verifies the effectiveness of the honey badger algorithm in the optimization of robotic tracks. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Improvements in illness diagnosis made possible by combining AI with biochip technology. It highlights the use of AI to improve the sensitivity and efficiency of biochips, allowing for faster and more precise illness diagnosis. Current healthcare uses of biochips are discussed, as well as artificial intelligence methods that may be used to the processing of biochip data. Through a variety of case studies, it shows how AI may be used for real-world tasks including early detection of cancer and other diseases through its capacity to analyze complicated data and perform predictive analysis. Data privacy, ethical considerations, and the need for extensive datasets to train AI are all discussed in the study as well as other obstacles to integrating AI with biochips. Furthermore, the legal implications of implementing new healthcare technology are covered. Future research options are suggested, with an emphasis on the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation and the possible effect of AI in biochip design. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes an electrical capacitance tomography algorithm based on an elastic network. To obtain feasible solutions, the L1 and L2 norms are used as the regular terms of the objective function, so that the solution has both the feature selection characteristics of the L1 norm and the image smoothing characteristics of the L2 norm. And utilize the normalized Laplacian as the weight of the elastic network, perform edge detection, and identify the dominance of L1 and L2. This algorithm makes the imaging region smooth, preserves the edge details of the image, and increases the accuracy of the image. © 2023 SPIE.
