Medical image analysis based on computer vision technology has always been a research hotspot in the community, which aims to assist doctors in diagnosis by accurately analyzing pathological images to divide the patient's condition and the patient's lesions. Thanks to the rapid development of deep learning, the application of computer image recognition technology in medicine is becoming more and more widespread, while still facing a series of challenges such as low data set data, insufficient performance of algorithms and fine delineation of lesions. In order to solve these problems, based on extensive literature research, this paper first compares the algorithms in the application for Corona Virus Disease 2019, skin cancer and liver cancer. Then we introduce the improvement of these algorithms by expanding the number of data sets, optimizing the algorithms, and fitting the neural networks and models, whcih can improve the accuracy of image recognition technology to assist doctors in identifying lesions in clinical practice. The algorithms are further compared quantitatively on the basis of the training set in clinical diseases, and the difficulties to be overcome in image recognition and the future development trend are explained and predicted from the analysis of the comparison. Many new algorithms and excellent models are being gradually improved with the development of the times, and image recognition technology will also develop towards more research fields in the future. © 2023 SPIE.

In this paper, the digital modeling technology based on multi-source data of power grid is studied. First, the theoretical system of power grid digital twin model is established to provide theoretical reference for the modeling and analysis of power grid digital twin and further application. Secondly, the construction of power grid digital twin model based on physics-guided deep learning framework, interface learning framework and probability graph model is studied to create the foundation and prerequisite for subsequent applications, and the foundation and core elements of power grid digital twin. Thirdly, the assembly and fusion of power grid equipment level model, power equipment cluster level model and power system level model based on multi-source heterogeneous data fusion technology are studied to realize multi-level digital twin model fusion for power grid. Finally, the paper studies the dynamic balance of update cost and accuracy to update the digital twin model of power grid, and realizes the flexible and dynamic update of power grid twin model. © 2023 SPIE.

Since traditional fused deposition 3D printers have problems such as low printing efficiency and easy breakage of silk, multi-material 3D printing technology based on screw extrusion principle can effectively solve such problems. Therefore, this paper takes the multi-material 3D printer based on the principle of screw extrusion as the research object, designs, models and builds its structure, and adopts the research method combining finite element simulation analysis and experimental verification to verify that the designed multi-material 3D printer can realize multi-material 3D printing, which has important theoretical guiding value and practical reference significance for engineering applications. © 2023 SPIE.

Intelligent environments can improve the quality of human existence by reducing inconveniences and maximizing productivity. An Internet of Things (IoT) concept has recently established into a method for making smart atmospheres. Protecting users’ personal information and preventing unauthorized access are paramount in any IoT-based smart ecosystem used in the real world. Smart environment applications face security risks from Internet of Things-based technologies. Accordingly, intrusion detection systems (IDSs) that are adapted to IoT settings are crucial for reducing the risk of attacks that exploit vulnerabilities in the IoT. Due to the inadequate processing and storage abilities of IoT technology and the specific protocols in use, traditional IDSs may not be applicable. In this article, we will discuss the most up-to-date intrusion detection systems (IDSs) for the IoT, with an emphasis on the appropriate approaches, features, and procedures. This research presents a Deep Belief Network (DBN) based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) employing the K-Nearest Neighbor technique for monitoring IoT networks for intrusions (KNN). Step one of this process involved using an Absolute Maximum Scaling (AMS) notion of normalization to the UNSW-NB15 dataset in order to cut down on data loss. This dataset, which consists of both recent attacks and normal network activity, covers nine distinct attack types. The next step was to use Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to minimize the dimensionality (PCA). Additionally, we have compared our method to other state-of-the-art studies. Experiments showed that DBN-KNN was superior to other intrusion detection systems in IoT technology. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

Bionics is a subject that studies various excellent characteristics such as the structure, function and information control of organisms. These characteristics will give us a lot of inspiration in terms of mechanical design and will also provide new construction ideas for practical engineering applications. In this paper, based on the structural characteristics of the natural biological snake, a bionic snake-like robot with a meandering posture is designed. Bionic snake-like robot uses STM32F103ZET6 MCU and 16-way servo control board as the main control unit. The servo provides the driving force. Through the use of pulleys and various sensors, functions such as various attitude movements and real-Time detection are realized. Using Solidworks software to carry out 3D modeling of the bionic snake-like robot and make a bionic snake-like robot model for experimental testing. The physical model size is 120mm*120mm*850mm. The results show that: on a relatively flat ground, the time for the bionic snake-like robot to move through a horizontal distance of 1m is about 5.50s. The bionic snake-like robot runs stably during the test and has no stuttering phenomenon. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

This main objective of this paper is to develop a detection system using Arduino, GPS, GSM and MEMS when a vehicle met with an accident. Here, MEMS technology detects the sudden change in the axes of vehicle and GSM module will send a message with the location of the accident to nearby hospital and relatives to alert them. GPS module is used to share the location of accident in the form of Google map link, derived from the latitude and longitude form. The alert message received by other side also contains the speed of vehicle in kmph. The proposed idea can also be used to track a vehicle continuously, by just making few changes in both software and hardware. In this paper, an improved gray wolf optimization linear active disturbance rejection control (IGWO-LADRC) had been proposed by improving the grey wolf population initialization, convergence factor, and grey wolf position updating strategy of the traditional grey wolf optimization algorithm. The problems of standard gray wolf optimization algorithm in linear active disturbance rejection control parameters tuning, such as low efficiency of optimization search and easy fall into local optimal solution, had been solved. A brushless DC motor control system based on IGWO-LADRC and a brushless DC motor control system based on gray wolf optimization linear active disturbance rejection control (GWO-LADRC) had been built. The comparison had shown that IGWO-LADRC had a fast optimization-seeking speed, high control accuracy, quick response speed, and strong anti-interference ability. © 2024 SPIE.

This paper describes the design and application of a solar powered drawing robot that implements face detection, image to sketch conversion, and wireless communication between the robot and the main computer. The robot has the capability to detect and capture a picture of a human face, convert the image to a sketch in the form of a series of lines, and physically draw the image on a whiteboard. Additionally, the robot can draw any selected image stored on the main computer, apply or remove shading from the image, move to a specified location away from the sketch to provide a clear area for the user to erase the board, and can draw diagnostic test rectangles to analyze the mechanical performance of the system. These robotic functions were implemented by first determining the angles and geometry of the arms required to locate a given x-y coordinatepoint. This was done using properties of triangles, as well as the known physical limitations of the pantograph's size. A CAD model of the design was created to incorporate both the calculated geometry and purchased parts, such as the servo motors, axles, and bearings. Existing open-source libraries were used to aid in facial recognition and the conversion of images to a sketch of x-y points. By utilizing the known geometry of the robot, the pen was programmed to move to specified points based on the angles of the two servo motors. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, three popular model predictive control (MPC) techniques, namely predictive current control (PCC), predictive torque control (PTC), and predictive flux control (PFC), applied to induction motor (IM) drive are presented. These techniques directly use the inherent discrete nature of the power converter and evaluate control parameters for the finite switching states. These control techniques for IM can offer fast dynamic response, improved steady-state operation, and retain the decoupled nature. In case of PTC, weighting factor is used in cost function, whereas in other two control techniques, weighting factor is only required when additional control parameters are added. These control techniques are developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK, and results are presented for various operating conditions. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In infrastructure-less Internet of Things (IoT) mesh networks, node authentication is a critical challenge. The situation becomes even more complex when considering the utilization of resource-constrained and low-end devices, as this restricts the applicability of existing cryptographic solutions. Physical layer authentication (PLA) has recently emerged as a complementary solution to enable a secure authentication process for infrastructure-less IoT deployments. Consequently, this research paper aims to empirically investigate the utilization of a PHY layer-based feature, namely received signal strength (RSS), for establishing a robust PLA in multi-node (MN) multi-cell (MC) wireless mesh networks. First, we develop a low-complex yet secure and efficient RSS-based PLA framework to execute continuous authentication for multiple legitimate nodes from different cells. Then, through extensive experiments, we evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of authentication rate, the detection rate of illegitimate nodes, and variations in the reference RSS values. Our evaluations consider different numbers of nodes, their respective locations, and relative distances concerning the receiver node (authenticator node). Furthermore, through a comprehensive analysis of the experimental data, we demonstrate the impact of the RSS threshold on the overall system performance. The obtained results demonstrate that the authentication rate is directly proportional to the RSS threshold while the reverse is correct for the detection rate. © 2023 IEEE.
