Flexible low-frequency transmission technology has competitive advantages in offshore wind power transmission, and the converter is the key equipment of flexible low-frequency transmission technology. According to the requirements of high-voltage and large-capacity scenarios, the topology and working principle of a half-wave variable-frequency AC converter applied to flexible low-frequency transmission are introduced. the topology can realize four-quadrant operation, and the number of sub-modules at the same voltage level is less than that of a modular multi-level matrix converter (M3C). On this basis, the modulation strategy and the sub-module capacitor voltage control are studied, and a sub-module capacitor voltage balance throwing strategy based on the nearest level approximation is proposed. this method can quickly realize the output voltage modulation, effectively control the capacitor voltage unbalance, and reduce the switching loss. Finally, MATLAB/Simulink simulation is used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed throwing strategy in the half-wave low-frequency AC converter. © 2023 IEEE.

Water flow and temperature drift are the main sources of underwater turbulence. In laser based underwater frequency transfer, underwater turbulence will introduce timing fluctuations, leading to deterioration of frequency transfer. In order to reveal the relationship between the timing fluctuation of transferred frequency signal and the drift of velocity and temperature, this paper establishes a mathematical model to analyze the timing fluctuation caused by water flow and temperature under different gradients. To validate our model, we transmitted a 100 MHz RF signal on a 3.5-meter underwater transmission link, with different artificial flow velocity and temperature drift set during the transmission process. the measured timing fluctuations are consistent with our analysis. the experimental results show that within 5000s, the root mean square (RMS) timing fluctuations of RF signals with velocity gradient, temperature gradient, and no gradient are approximately 37 ps, 123 ps, and 23 ps, respectively. this indicates that the timing fluctuation caused by temperature gradient is higher than that caused by velocity gradient. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper represents an approach for describing the design and implementation data logging and supervisory control for the boiler drum water level control strategy such two element strategies controlled by control methods and all this using LabVIEW software. Where the total block diagram for control strategies of boiler drum level is obtained using the deriving of mathematical modeling for boiler drum and specific assumptions. Also, this paper provides the knowledge about the control methods such as feedback plus feed forward controller and the various PID controller design methods such as Ziegler-Nichol method, Internal Model control were implemented on boiler drum control system. Comparative study is made on the performance of the control methods according to steady state error, settling time and peak overshoot. In order to achieve stable performance, set point tracking, and disturbance rejection, a PID controller with an Internal Model control (IMC) basis was implemented for the level control application, and the results are presented in this work. Finally, the LabVIEW program of data logging and supervisory control two element strategy. © 2023 IEEE.

For the requirements of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in high payload and small space, the aircraft needs to have the characteristics of high payload, small size and stable control system. this paper designs a coaxial twin-propeller multi-rotor UAV based on the combined control of redundant flight controller and NVIDIA microcomputer. Compared with traditional quadcopter UAVs, each axis is equipped with dual motors and dual propellers in this structure, which not only has high load-bearing capacity but also greatly reduces the occupied space of the aircraft. through actual tests, it is found that the failure rate is almost 0 with the support of redundant flight controller, and the combined control system can hover stably and locate accurately under harsh conditions. Compared with the traditional flight control system, the system has better maneuverability and lower error offset when the UAV is under high payloads, making it more suitable for the aircraft with coaxial double-propeller multi-rotor structure. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. this paper considers the risk assessment of railway tunnels and proposes a method based on deep learning in the context of artificial intelligence. Specifically, we use convolutional neural networks (CNN) to process and analyze sensor data inside the tunnel, and establish a supervised learning model to predict the health status of the tunnel. We also introduced a Bayesian optimization algorithm to optimize the model's super parameters, and used different evaluation indicators to evaluate the performance of the model. the experimental results show that our method is superior to traditional methods in terms of accuracy, robustness, and interpretability, and can help railway companies better manage tunnel risks. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Most of the solar PV plants are remotely located from main grid creating a scenario of integration into weak AC grid and hence poses major Power Quality (PQ) issues which limit the penetration levels. this paper proposes a modified Least Mean Fourth (LMF) based adaptive control algorithm for Distributed Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) connected at Point of Common Coupling (PCC) which mitigates harmonics in grid current and voltages conferring with IEEE- 519 standards, thereby enhancing the penetration level of Solar PV. the proposed algorithm's performance has been validated by a case study where solar PV is integrated to weak AC grid at PCC by simulating unbalanced in load and change in irradiation for different Short Circuit Ratio (SCR) values of weak AC grid. the proposed system is successfully implemented in MATLAB/Simulink environment and obtained results are verified with IEEE-519 and IEEE-929 standard. © 2023 IEEE.

A real-Time all-optical switch with a wide tunable band gap is presented in this study, using photonic crystals and phase change materials to improve the performance of optical communication networks. the decisive factors of photonic band gaps are explored, and 2D photonic crystal straight waveguides are realized with an extinction ratio of 20dB. Furthermore, several types of all-optical switches with superior light manipulation capabilities are designed, and an all-optical information processing system is realized, providing a feasible solution for high-speed all-optical networks with large capacity. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. this paper proposes a design and hardware implementation with a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) of a Sensorless Rotor Flux Oriented Vector control (SRFOVC) strategy based on a Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) observer for an induction motor drive fed by a voltage source inverter. the MRAS observer is suggested for real-time estimation of the rotor speed. Indeed, the first goal of this work is to provide an MRAS speed observer in order to increase the control system reliability, reduce the maintenance rate and the control system cost. the second goal consists of implementing the suggested SRFOVC-MRAS algorithm on an FPGA board. Actually, the FPGA board is chosen for reducing the system sampling period, taking the hardware FPGA advantages in terms of parallel processing. the model of the suggested SRFOVC-MRAS is designed and simulated with the Xilinx system generator tool in a Matlab/Simulink environment and implemented on a Xilinx FPGA-Zynq 7000-board. © 2023 IEEE.

Deep learning, particularly deep neural networks, has received increasing interest in time series classification, and several deep learning methods have been proposed recently. However, most of these algorithms are designed for time series with equal length, while clustering of time series with unequal length is often encountered in real-world problems. this paper proposes an input module of deep learning, transforming time series with unequal length into a warping matrix processed by neural network for training. the trajectory warping matrix is generated by DTW algorithm according to the similarity difference of time series. the Gaussian blur iterative algorithm is introduced to converted from the warping matrix of any size to equal dimension. the effectiveness of the proposed input module combined with some advanced neural networks are assessed based on the CWRU dataset. Overall, the analysis shows that the input module assists the depth learning to classify time series with unequal length accurately.
