Brushless DC (BLDC) motors have gained prominence for their superior efficiency, reliability, and extended lifespan due to the absence of brushes. PID controllers effectively regulate the speed or position of BLDC motors by adjusting the motor's input voltage based on an error signal derived from the difference between the desired and actual speed or position, ensuring precise and stable operation. In this paper, a PID controller is tuned for the speed control of the BLDC motor using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic algorithm (GA). the system is developed on the MATLAB/Simulink platform, and a comparative analysis is performed between the PSO and GA-based tuning of the PID controller. the preliminary result demonstrates that the GA-PID controller outperforms the PSO-PID controller regarding faster rise time and percentage of overshoot. On the contrary, PSO-PID performs better in the case of stability and robustness with a larger negative magnitude of the real part of dominating eigenvalues. © 2023 IEEE.

Coprime arrays may provide a larger array aperture without increasing the number of physical sensors. In the field of acoustic scalar senser coprime array (AS-CA), the traditional direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms often cannot distinguish two adjacent targets very well, because they do not have enough angular resolution. To solve this problem, this paper introduces the acoustic vector sensor (AVS) techniques to the coprime array signal processing area. Firstly, the AVS's acoustic pressure and particle velocity components are processed together, and a part of the noise in the particle velocity components is filtered out. then, the MVDR method is applied to the coprime array field. Finally, simulation results verify the performance improvement of the devised schemes. © 2023 IEEE.

the autonomous control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) presents a challenging problem in the field of control. Conventional autopilot designs utilize single-input, single-output (SISO) controllers, such as PID controllers, which may become unstable under certain conditions. To overcome these limitations, researchers have explored the use of reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms in UAV control. this paper reviews related works in the field and proposes a study to evaluate the impact of shaping rewards based on aircraft attitude on the effectiveness of UAV control. We investigated the application of reinforcement learning in UAV control, specifically focusing on the impact of shaping rewards based on aircraft attitude in variable wind speed environments. Two experiments were conducted to investigate the training rate and control effectiveness of agents with shaping rewards and non-shaping rewards. the findings indicate that shaping rewards based on flight attitude effectively reduce turbulence in the aircraft's flight process and outperform non-shaping rewards in altitude and heading control in the Gaussian wind speed model. © 2023 IEEE.

To address the problem that the DV-Hop localization model for wireless sensor networks can no longer meet the current localization accuracy requirements, this paper proposes the concept of beacon node trustworthiness to provide ideas and basis for improving the optimization model. Based on the principle of least squares in the localization model, weighted least squares is introduced to present the trustworthiness for beacon nodes with different characteristics. To analyze the characteristics of the trustworthiness of beacon nodes, 18 functions are designed in terms of function instrumentality and decrement able, hierarchical faultiness, etc. Finally, the conclusions obtained from the credibility test are tested with weighted matrix and average hop distance weighting, and the localization error is reduced from 32.68% to 31.78%, with a role rate of 100%. the credibility characteristics of beacon nodes discussed in this paper provide ideas for subsequent optimization of the localization model. © 2023 IEEE.

Image denoising is a technology to restore the image by changing the information before and after the image sequence. the restored image will become very clear, and it is used a lot now. Due to the imperfect equipment, when the image is transmitted, it will be affected by noise, thus losing the original details. In order to solve this problem and make the noise image clear and obvious, this paper proposes an image denoising method based on deep learning, and constructs the image denoising network structure based on convolutional neural network. At the same time, the directional propagation algorithm is optimized to speed up the training speed of the model and effectively improve the denoising effect. By comparing the experimental data of the classical algorithm experiment, it is concluded that this study has achieved a better denoising effect. Finally, the key issues of image denoising research are summarized, and the development trend of future research in this field is discussed. © 2023 IEEE.

Elevator group control algorithms constitute a vital component of intelligent building transportation management systems. this paper delves into the multidimensional challenges inherent in such algorithms: the uncertainty of passenger demand, striking a balance between energy efficiency and service quality, and the intricacy of the algorithms necessitating real-time execution. It provides a comprehensive review of the evolution and core challenges faced in elevator group control algorithms, with an emphasis on analyzing the characteristics, advantages, and limitations of various methodologies, including expert systems, fuzzy logic control, genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization, neural networks, and reinforcement learning. the study concludes by casting a forward glance at the prospective trajectories of elevator group control technology, notably the promising prospects of group control algorithms that integrate reinforcement learning with deep neural networks. these advanced algorithms hold significant potential in enhancing transportation efficiency, facilitating energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as optimizing passengers' psychological waiting experience in elevators. © 2024 IEEE.

Image degradation due to fog and haze is a common problem in the field of life and image research. this article will be designed and implemented of image haze removal algorithm. the traditional methods have some problems such as low brightness, artifact, halo and distortion, but the existing methods based on deep learning have better effect. In this paper, we will propose a de-fogging network model, which is based on adversarial network. the generator in adversarial network is a convolutional neural network with residual network, which reduces the model training parameters and improves the parameter utilization. the discriminator uses the full convolutional network as the discriminator, which enhances the spatial sensitivity of the model to the image. In order to improve efficiency, the discriminator is simplified on the original structure. the loss function of the model is improved so that the model can get better training effect. © 2023 IEEE.

A new heuristic approach, called Single Hoist Cyclic Scheduling Problem (SHCSP), is presented in this paper to minimize the cycle time of the single hoist scheduling problem. this heuristic is compared to a MIP model solved by Ilog-Cplex Solver. Simulation results show the efficiency of the SHCSP heuristic, where the optimal solution is reached for more than 54 instances from literature on a reasonable computational time (less than 1 second). © 2023 IEEE.

A piecewise system can be employed to construct model for a wide range of control objects. Although, it is possible to select the number of piecewise regions and divide positions of piecewise systems, it is difficult to determine optimal piecewise regions. this study developed an effective model-based control system design based on an optimized piecewise model for nonlinear systems. We proposed two algorithms for constructing PML models that minimize modeling errors using numerical data. the control system is designed using feedback linearization for piecewise models. the optimal control performance for nonlinear systems is demonstrated using computer simulations. © 2023 ACM.

To address the issues of control stability and safety in autonomous vehicles, this study focuses on research related to Model Predictive control (MPC) algorithms and algorithm optimization. By leveraging MPC control algorithms and system dynamics techniques, we have achieved stable autonomous driving. Simulation experiments based on Model Predictive control have been conducted to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of MPC algorithms for feedback control in autonomous driving. Two distinct simulation scenarios have been designed to verify the MPC algorithm's performance under different road conditions. the results indicate that the MPC algorithm effectively enhances the control stability and safety of autonomous driving vehicles. © 2024 IEEE.
