The ascent of Zoom as the predominant platform for facilitating online classes signifies a notable paradigm shift in the domain of remote education. Its rapid adoption can be attributed to several factors, such as its intuitive interface, robust technological infrastructure, and adaptability across various educational contexts. Against the backdrop of the global pandemic, which has mandated a widespread transition to remote learning, Zoom has emerged as a pivotal tool for educators endeavoring to transcend geographical constraints and engage with students in virtual classrooms. Its pervasive presence has reshaped pedagogical approaches, facilitating interactive and collaborative learning experiences irrespective of geographical boundaries. This study examines the correlations between visual fatigue, physical fatigue, mental fatigue, tech-savvy behavior, and online learning among 724 teachers in Karnataka conducting online classes through Zoom. The survey, administered from January to June 2023, utilized purposive sampling. Rigorous data analysis comprised factor loadings, Cronbach's alpha, Rho_A, CR, HTMT ratio, Fornell-Larcker Criterion, assessments of multicollinearity, R square, path coefficients, and predictive validity, employing Smart PLS software.

Pest and disease detection on crops have been well investigated by the research community in previous years. Most of the proposed methods make use of sophisticated deep-learning models that would require higher resource requirements. Recent works in this area suggest that researchers are moving towards resource-friendly alternatives. Also, detecting insect pests and diseases in garlic crops is a very challenging task as indicators happen at the early stages of plant growth. This would mean that most of the field environments have the same color profile which makes the recognition process more difficult. In this research, a recognizer with 4 convolutional layers is proposed to detect insect pests and diseases in the garlic crops. The data was gathered from the field during the course of 1 year from October 2021 to November 2022. There are 444 garlic samples which were classified into 7 groups namely, Common Cutworm, Leaf Spot, Purple Blotch, Common Worm, Tangle Top, Root Rot, Garlic Rust, and Healthy, based on the perspective of 3 garlic experts. The proposed model was trained using 80% of the dataset while the other 20% was used for testing for a period of 9,000 epochs. The recognizer was able to manage a 97% accuracy score while maintaining a Sensitivity of 86% for all the test cases. The Matthews Correlation Coefficient of the proposed model is 0.45 which suggests that the model is predictive without sacrificing more resource requirements.

Exploring Patient Journey Mapping and the Learning Health System: Scoping Review

Background: Journey maps are visualization tools that can facilitate the diagrammatical representation of stakeholder groups by interest or function for comparative visual analysis. Therefore, journey maps can illustrate intersections and relationships between organizations and consumers using products or services. We propose that some synergies may exist between journey maps and the concept of a learning health system (LHS). The overarching goal of an LHS is to use health care data to inform clinical practice and improve service delivery processes and patient outcomes. Objective: The purpose of this review was to assess the literature and establish a relationship between journey mapping techniques and LHSs. Specifically, in this study, we explored the current state of the literature to answer the following research questions: (1) Is there a relationship between journey mapping techniques and an LHS in the literature? (2) Is there a way to integrate the data from journey mapping activities into an LHS? (3) How can the data gleaned from journey map activities be used to inform an LHS? Methods: A scoping review was conducted by querying the following electronic databases: Cochrane database of Systematic Reviews (Ovid), ieee Xplore, PubMed, Web of science, Academic Search Complete (EBSCOhost), APA PsycInfo (EBSCOhost), CINAHL (EBSCOhost), and MEDLINE (EBSCOhost). Two researchers applied the inclusion criteria and assessed all articles by title and abstract in the first screen, using Covidence. Following this, a full-text review of included articles was done, with relevant data extracted, tabulated, and assessed thematically. Results: The initial search yielded 694 studies. Of those, 179 duplicates were removed. Following this, 515 articles were assessed during the first screening phase, and 412 were excluded, as they did not meet the inclusion criteria. Next, 103 articles were read in full, and 95 were excluded, resulting in a final sample of 8 articles that satisfied

Virtual, Augmented, and Extended Reality Applied to science Communication: A Systematic Literature Review

Extended reality (XR)—which includes virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR)—is becoming increasingly popular for sharing scientific knowledge. This research evaluates the state-of-the-art in XR for scientific communication. Our two-phase methodology began with a Systematic Literature Review, identifying 94 relevant articles and conference papers from the last decade (2013- 2023) sourced from the Web of science and SCOPUS databases. These publications show scholars and practitioners using XR to convey scientific findings, foster awareness, ignite interest, shape opinions, and enhance understanding. In the second phase, we applied data clustering and analysis. Our findings highlight a significant increase in XR studies over the last decade, with the XR technologies used for communication (N = 24), dissemination (N = 23), educational/training (N = 21), and decision-making (N = 10). Our results indicate the need to establish clearer guidelines for aligning science communication and to create more possibilities to publish peer-reviewed research in. © 1995-2012 ieee.

data is the key to create insights, and with the expansion of social media in the last decade, the quantity of data generated about human behavior has increased multifold. Billions of opinions are floated around the social media platforms of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, among others covering topics ranging from politics, sports, entertainment, products, and so on. Every post has a sentiment that can be measured and processed to form insights about various products. Consumer Behavior and Insights is benefited mainly from such practices and leverages the use of public Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Analytics tools to cleanse and crunch unstructured data to extract meaning out of it. This paper is a study of generic perception formulated towards a brand and how it is reflected through social media. We also look at Kaggle, which also serves as a platform to correlate with data uploaded by other data science enthusiasts. It covers the usage of Twitter APIs, Analytics through R Language and presents a business scenario of how marketers can benefit from the use of these technology solutions.

Objective: Steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP)-based brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that can deliver a high information transfer rate (ITR) usually require subject's calibration data to learn the class- and subject-specific model parameters (e.g. the spatial filters and SSVEP templates). Normally, the amount of the calibration data for learning is proportional to the number of classes (or visual stimuli), which could be huge and consequently lead to a time-consuming calibration. This study presents a transfer learning scheme to substantially reduce the calibration effort. Methods: Inspired by the parameter-based and instance-based transfer learning techniques, we propose a subject transfer based canonical correlation analysis (stCCA) method which utilizes the knowledge within subject and between subjects, thus requiring few calibration data from a new subject. Results: The evaluation study on two SSVEP datasets (from Tsinghua and UCSD) shows that the stCCA method performs well with only a small amount of calibration data, providing an ITR at 198.18 +/- 59.12 (bits/min) with 9 calibration trials in the Tsinghua dataset and 111.04 +/- 57.24 (bits/min) with 3 trials in the UCSD dataset. Such performances are comparable to those from using the multi-stimulus CCA (msCCA) and the ensemble task-related component analysis (eTRCA) methods with the minimally required calibration data (i.e., at least 40 trials in the Tsinghua dataset and at least 12 trials in the UCSD dataset), respectively. Conclusion: Inter- and intra-subject transfer helps the recognition method achieve high ITR with extremely little calibration effort. Significance: The proposed approach saves much calibration effort without sacrificing the ITR, which would be significant for practical SSVEP-based BCIs.

Holes are common and important feature information in sheet metal parts, and play a decisive role in product production and assembly. The 3D contour reconstruction method based on passive binocular vision has been widely used in hole measurement due to its high accuracy and robustness. It can obtain dimensional data such as diameter and center of round holes, but there are still problems in measurement accuracy and integrity, and it is difficult to accurately measure special-shaped holes. Aiming at these issues, a fringe projection based 3D contour measurement method for holes on sheet metal parts is proposed. In this method, two constant movements are performed on the extracted contour curve to the surrounding area, and the 3D contour points can be reconstructed according to the phase matching. Therefore, the real 3D contour is reconstructed inversely according to the corresponding points of the previous two reconstructed contours. With this method, contours only need to be extracted on one image, so it can reduce the effect of inconsistency in contour extraction. In addition, the accuracy and integrity of the 3D contour can be guaranteed by using high-quality phase matching of the sheet metal area. The experimental results show that this method can achieve accurate and complete 3D contour reconstruction for sheet metal holes of various shapes, and the accuracy can reach 0.08mm. © 2022 SPIE.

The reprogramming of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) has emerged as an efficient strategy for immunotherapy. However, most of the approaches did not allow the in situ reprogramming of TAM because their low efficiency, non-specificity, or potential side effects. Herein, we produced exosomes with the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats interference (CRISPRi) internally engineered and the TAM specific peptide externally engineered onto the exosome membrane. The i nternally and e xternally e ngineered e xosomes ( ieee , also named as I3E ) allowed the selective homing to tumor tissue and targeted to M2-like TAMs, which nearly repressed the expression of PI-3 kinase gamma (PI3Kγ) completely, and induced the TAMs polarizing to M1 both in vitro and in vivo. The polarized M1 macrophages awakened the “hot” tumor-immunity, causing the increase of T lymphocyte infiltration and the decrease of myeloid-derived suppressor cells, and inhibiting the tumor growth significantly. I3E reprogramed TAMs in situ precisely and efficiently.
