Facial expression recognition is currently one of the research hotspots in the field of artificial intelligence. In addition to normal natural expressions, people sometimes intentionally change their facial expressions to mask their real emotions. Masked expressions are more complex than ordinary expressions, and the number of masked expression datasets that can be used for model training is limited. The automatic recognition of masked expressions will be a new challenge. Traditional machine learning requires the manual design of feature extraction algorithms, resulting in low expression recognition rates. Deep learning requires a large amount of labeled data and has poor model performance on small sample datasets. This paper proposes a method based on transfer learning, which transfers the pre-trained weights to the model, reconstructs the classifier to complete new tasks, and combines data augmentation and regularization to improve the robustness and generalization ability of the model. It has achieved good results on the Masked Facial Expression database (MFED). Using leave-one-subject-out cross-validation, the recognition accuracy is 64.78% for required expressions (6R), 42.16% for experienced emotions evoked by video clips (6E), and 21.21% for 36 mixed expressions (6Ex6R), which is improved by 35.61%, 57.14%, and 88.52% compared to traditional methods, respectively. The experiment deepens the research on the recognition of masked expressions, providing a possible method for the recognition of deception and lies. © 2023 IEEE.

Background and purpose: The project refers to the effect that interactive E-Learning among expert participants in our innovative Remote E-Multidisciplinary Board for Breast Cancer (PROMETHEUS II pn:1009078, 34931,34932,34933) is being integrated with the Hellenic Hyper-computer ARIS for Big data analytics and computing. Design/methodology/Results: Integrated analysis of two research projects results showed that the E-Multidisciplinary Board in Breast Cancer may also be the substance of Innovative Networks for Interactive Collaborative E-Learning and Training among experts, residents and students for further and deep learning of the cognitive ergonomics of the E-Multidisciplinary Board incorporating AI and Big data Analytics and computing to optimize quality in Breast Cancer decision making, management and treatment in the peripheries. Conclusions.: Ergonomics of Innovating Training Networks for Interactive E-Learning in the context of the E-Multidisciplinary Board in cancer decision support and making, management and treatment in combination with the Mobile Clinical Unit ‘’Macedonia’’ for Breast Cancer prevention may be instructed remotely and interactively, while integration with AI and Big data analytics interactive E-Learning may teach cognitive ergonomics of the E-Multidisciplinary Board and sustain an efficient surveillance system on a European Level and in the Balkans to optimize quality in Breast Cancer Screening, Prevention, Treatment and Survivorship especially for the peripheries. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Multi-object tracking is an important part of computer vision and plays a crucial role in many real-world application scenarios. The existing integrated tracking framework loses the key features of the target when fusing features and iteratively updating the trajectory apparent features, resulting in tracking instability. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes an online multi-object tracking method based on global feature enhancement network and historical feature complement iteration. In this method, a dual global feature fusion unit is used to replace the global feature enhancement network of summation or splicing operation, which is used to extract more discriminative key features and enhance the recognition ability of objects in multiple scenes. In addition, the historical features are used to supplement the iterative mechanism, which introduces random features and average features from the historical appearance features stored in the trajectory as supplementary features to supplement the lack of object features in the current frame. Comprehensive experiments are carried out on MOT15, MOT16, MOT17, and MOT20 datasets, in which the MOTA score of 73.2% is achieved on MOT16 dataset, indicating that the proposed method has good tracking performance. This work aims to investigate whether displayed body expressions during venture pitches hold predictive value over the success of gathering funding. To this end the performance of several traditional regression models trained on aggregated body expression features is compared to that of deep recurrent models. Moreover, the impact of features and the effect of oversampling to counteract data imbalance are investigated. The results showed that temporal modeling of body expressions with GRU yielded the best performance (average MAE = 16.9). Oversampling was found to not improve models' performance. The analysis of the impact of features suggest that higher levels of expressed body movements negatively affect investment scores whereas a more open body posture can have a positive effect. These findings show that body expressions can be predictive of investment decisions. Future work will be directed towards integrating these cues into a multimodal model to aid entrepreneurs in improving their pitching skills and further the understanding of the investment decision-making process. © 2023 Owner/Author.
