In healthcare delivery, patients are diagnosed, medical tests are taken to be analysed to provide better treatment and test results are based on providing treatment to patients. Drug recommendation systems are widely used by medical professionals as medico-assisted systems, but recommendations are mute to surgeries or therapies. This paper presents a novel approach to designing an intelligent cognitive clinician (IC2) that diagnoses the patient using NLP algorithms for a speech of the patient to text translation or textual data for symptoms extraction and predict the disease and possible medical tests to be taken. Once the test results are available, the system recommends the drugs, therapies, or surgeries and patient feedback improves the treatment recommendation. So, IC2 is a drug, surgery, or therapy recommendation system based on symptoms, test results, and patient feedback.

The drastic changes in the environment will cause a series of humanitarian disasters, lead to political violence, and make the already fragile country crumble. China's dependence on foreign trade remains high all the year round, and the development of international trade business is of great significance to China's economic development and the increase of economic *** should link the balance of international trade with the balance of international payments from the perspective of comparative advantage and economies of scale and rethink the dynamic balance of international trade. In this paper, the simulation research of international trade vector dynamic equilibrium model based on big data algorithm is carried out. We extend the estimation and inference method based on the dynamic equilibrium model of international trade vector to the uncertain region in the parameter space. Bayesian statistical inference method is used, and probability weights are constructed for deterministic and uncertain regions in parameter space based on observation data. The results show that the vector dynamic equilibrium model of international trade constructed in this paper can provide a reliable analytical framework and a powerful tool for policy makers to predict and judge the effect of monetary policy system changes. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. The necessity of a Chinese herbal medicine intelligent recognition system lies in enhancing recognition efficiency, reducing human errors, supporting education and research, regulating the market, and facilitating the integration of traditional and modern medicine. This effectively promotes the development of the Chinese herbal medicine field. The article introduces the design of an intelligent Chinese herbal medicine recognition app based on DenseNet-121. It can intelligently recognize 61 different types of Chinese herbal medicines with an accuracy rate of over 94%, serving as an auxiliary reference tool for practitioners in the field of traditional Chinese medicine for drug identification.

Computational Intelligence is sometimes also referred to as soft computing, which is a specific field of study where the task is to make computers learn some real-life or complex problems from the experimental data or observations. In computational intelligence, there is a set of approaches or methodologies used to address real-life or complex problems. Generally, it is impossible to solve real-life problems using traditional computing methods because of complexity, uncertainty, or problems that don’t have a proper definition. Considering cognitive computing is an indispensable technology to develop these smart systems, this paper proposes human-centered computing assisted by cognitive computing and cloud computing. Computational Intelligence has significantly extended the possibility of computing, encompassing it from traditional computing on data to progressively diverse computing paradigms such as cognitive intelligence and human-computer fusion intelligence. Intelligence and computing have undergone paths of different evolution and development for a long time but have become increasingly intertwined in recent years. Intelligent computing is not only intelligence-oriented but also intelligence-driven. Our IoT systems are transforming from "perceptive" to "cognitive," where connected IoT devices behave as agents and interact with each other in a context-aware manner with minimum human intervention, learning from both the physical environment and experience. New security challenges surface as IoT applications are empowered with more cognitive capability. The vast amount of ever-growing data needed to equip our devices with artificial intelligence puts enormous pressure on the protection of sensitive data flow and the efficiency of network resource utilization. In order to address the potential security challenges for cognitive IoT systems, we first drafted a survey to study the security requirements and challenges of recent IoT proposals for future smart cities and then proposed a differentiated security architecture that enhances security and efficiency for data communication. In the future, we aim to build an incentive mechanism to encourage secure peer-to-peer data sharing using our proposed differentiated security architecture and deep learning techniques.

In recent years, the convergence of cognitive computing and natural language processing (NLP) has emerged as a critical field of study, promising significant breakthroughs in medical imaging. This research digs into the integration of cognitive computing approaches with NLP to increase the interpretation and comprehension of complicated medical narratives. We offer a unique framework that harnesses the cognitive capacities of computers to process, analyze, and interpret huge quantities of unstructured medical material. Our technique combines deep learning architectures and semantic analysis to extract therapeutically important information from radiology reports, patient histories, and other textual data sources. Preliminary findings suggest a considerable increase in the accuracy and efficiency of medical picture annotations, leading to more accurate diagnostic insights. Furthermore, the system exhibits an adeptness in understanding sophisticated medical jargons, acronyms, and context-dependent interpretations. This discovery not only emphasizes the promise of cognitive computing in changing medical imaging but also establishes a precedent for its use in other sectors needing complex language interpretation. © 2023 IEEE.

Humans as sensors is the paradigm for transforming the idea of a "smart city" into the concept of a "cognitive city". While the concept of smart cities is based on the notion of using technology to improve city life, cognitive cities take it a step further by utilizing the large amounts of data generated by people to make informed decisions. In developed countries, numerous projects have been successfully implemented using cognitive computing models in areas such as health, transport, and energy sustainability. However, in developing countries such as Ecuador, the collection of data is often a challenge, making it difficult to implement these types of projects. Therefore, in this paper, we present a comprehensive approach to identify available data sources, including open data, social media, and IoT networks, to start the path toward cognitive cities. Our main objective is to present and facilitate the understanding of those datasets by classifying them according to their context of use around their importance in a cognitive city. In this sense, this document consolidates 547 datasets from open portals and describes several proposals in which sensors generate data as part of the Internet of Things infrastructures. Besides, we corroborated that Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube are the most used online social networks in terms of e-participation mainly. We then identified the most relevant categories based on the data available from the analyzed data sources for cities in Ecuador. The results presented establish the need to understand, retrieve and use these data by government, academic, industrial, or research entities. Thus, decision-making processes may be implemented to improve the quality of life of citizens on the basis of available data and aim at building a cognitive country.

The exceptionally quick development in worldwide mobile data traffic there is a prompt need to have components to use the accessible spectrum to the possible extent. cognitive radio (CR) is a likely innovation to tackle the spectrum shortage issue for future wireless frameworks. Spectrum sensing, spectrum mobility (handoff), spectrum decision, and spectrum sharing are utmost parts in the CR. Spectrum handoff is a basic part of cognitive radio systems to offer strong assistance for secondary users. There is a lot of literature available about spectrum sensing, however, there is limited research available about spectrum handoff technique (to the best of authors' knowledge). As a result, the majority of this study focuses on the spectrum handoff approach, including its forms, literature, system model research difficulties, and obstacles. This study may be very valuable for scholars interested in cognitive radio, especially spectrum handoff technology. © 2023 IEEE.

Driving distractions contribute significantly to the occurrence of road accidents worldwide. This study utilized a driving simulator to investigate the cognitive impact of distractions on driving performance. By analyzing eye movements and pupil size serving as an indicator of cognitive load. Participants experienced two types of visual distractions: complex distractions involving mathematical problem-solving and simple distractions in the form of number memorization. The results revealed no significant difference in pupil size between the two distraction types. However, a notable distinction emerged between distracted driving and driving without any distractions. This finding emphasizes the significant influence of distractions on participants' attention levels, with their focus shifting towards completing math problems and memorization tasks during distractions. These preliminary insights offer valuable knowledge on the cognitive effects and causes of driver distraction, enabling the development of targeted interventions and initiatives to reduce distracted driving and enhance overall road safety.
