The problem of marine litter is becoming more and more serious, which poses a great threat to the marine ecological environment. The research of marine litter identification and classification problem is imminent, and the identification and classification of images are especially critical. The advantage of convolutional neural network, one of the deep learning models, lies in its ability to automatically learn the features in the image, thus improving the accuracy of image classification. Therefore, the study of marine litter recognition model based on convolutional neural network is of some significance. Collecting and pre-processing multiple types of marine litter image data, extracting features in terms of colour, shape and texture, constructing a marine litter recognition model based on convolutional neural network, training and analysing the comparison results, effectively verifying the accuracy and precision of the model. The proposed model has high accuracy and stability in marine litter identification, which can provide effective technical support for marine environmental protection as well as a technical basis for the protection of marine ecosystems. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Despite the demonstrated potential of large language models (LLMs) in diverse NLP tasks, their causal reasoning capability appears inadequate when evaluated within the context of the Event Causality Identification (ECI) task. The ECI tasks pose significant complexity for LLMs and necessitate comprehensive causal priors for accurate identification. To improve the performance of LLMs for causal reasoning, we propose a multi-agent Decomposed reasoning framework for Event Causality Identification, designated as ***. In the discovery stage, *** incorporates specialized agents such as Causal Explorer and Mediator Detector, which capture implicit causality and indirect causality more effectively. In the reasoning stage, *** introduces the agents Direct Reasoner and Indirect Reasoner, which leverage the knowledge of the generalized causal structure specific to the ECI. Extensive evaluations demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of *** compared with baselines based on LLMs and supervised training. In order to provide more comprehensive medical services and personalized health monitoring according to individual needs, Body Area Networks (BANs) have been extensively studied by many researchers. As BANs involve the transmission of personal private data, the security of the communication is of utmost importance. Unfortunately, existing encryption techniques cannot be directly applied with the limited power or computation ability of the sensors in BANs. An alternative direction is to use physiological signals for key agreement. However, many of the current physiological signal-based key agreement schemes either have high overheads or are vulnerable to certain security issues. In this paper, we proposed a novel secret sharing and Bloom filter based key agreement scheme that balances overhead and security for BANs. Also, we use an approximate hash table to free ourselves from the problem of dependence on the ordering of features, which has been neglected by previous researchers. We validate the security of our scheme with based on real datasets and compare overheads with other solutions. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Addressing the bus voltage stabilization issue arising from renewable energy fluctuation and load stochasticity in DC microgrids, we have developed an advanced hybrid energy storage dual-loop control strategy. This strategy integrates predictive control with feed-forward regulation to significantly enhance system performance. In the design of this strategy, a fuzzy PI controller is employed to establish the outer power loop, complemented by a current inner loop without differential beat control, ensuring precise and stable control. The strategy meticulously divides PV output and load variations into average power, error power, and transient power components. By leveraging the unique differentiated capabilities of the hybrid energy storage system, these power components are precisely compensated for, achieving stable bus voltage. To verify the effectiveness of this strategy, MATLAB/Simulink simulation experiments were conducted. The experimental results demonstrate that this strategy excels in balancing bus voltage, optimizing the distribution of stored power, and enhancing the overall energy utilization of the system. Consequently, it not only meets national standards for voltage fluctuation but also ensures robust and reliable system operation. The successful application of this strategy undoubtedly provides powerful technical support and guarantee for the stable operation of DC microgrids. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Palm vein recognition research is progressing rapidly, underscoring the growing urgency for security studies in this field. A pivotal component of this research, anti-spoofing is currently hindered primarily by the scarcity of spoofing datasets. The scarcity stems from the immature methods employed in generating more realistic spoofing samples in contactless environments. This paper proposed an innovative method that enables generating convincingly realistic spoofing samples feasible. We observe considerable luminance distribution discrepancies between the actual palm and its captured image which are caused by non-uniform illumination. Through modeling and theoretical analysis, the issue of non-uniform illumination in contactless palm vein imaging is effectively addressed and remedied, subsequently enables the generation of more realistic spoofing samples. The experimental results demonstrate that the fabricated spoofing samples exhibit notable realism, with deception rates spanning from 87.37% to 88.83%, thereby verifying the viability of the proposed method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

technology advancement is inevitable, and it has created a revolution in all the sectors creating huge opportunities. Artificial intelligence and machine learning have boosted the advancement of all the sectors making the life easier and comfortable. On the other hand, these advancements highly depend on the connectivity through which all the terminals are communicating. Thus, all the technology developments depend on the communication paradigm, particularly on the wireless medium. Securing the information and infrastructure is crucial, and it demands highly complex problems that cannot be breached with high computation machines like quantum computer. The emergence of quantum computer has made all the existing cryptographic algorithms vulnerable creating a space for advanced algorithms that are safe from quantum computer attacks. Key generation is the foundational process of any cryptographic algorithm, and in this research, we propose a novel key generation mechanism based on lattice using mathematical functions. As a crucial component of the digital economy, the market price fluctuations of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are influenced by various factors, making accurate prediction extremely important. This paper leverages a Graph Neural Network (GNN) model to analyze features such as user interaction frequency, user influence, and the popularity of discussion topics within social networks, aiming to predict the volatility of NFT market prices. Experimental results demonstrate that the GNN model achieves a prediction accuracy of 92%, significantly outperforming traditional time series models and linear regression models in key metrics like Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and R2. The study finds that high-influence users and trending discussion topics in social networks are the primary drivers of price volatility. This research not only validates the effectiveness of the GNN model in processing complex social network data but also provides new theoretical insights and practical references for understanding and predicting market behaviors in the digital asset space. The findings offer a solid foundation for the design and optimization of price prediction models in the future digital economy. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in developing in vitro models that predict the behavior of cells in living organisms. Mathematical models based on differential equations, and related numerical algorithms, have been provided to this aim. In this work, we present first experiences in designing parallel strategies for accelerating an algorithm for behavior prediction based on the Cellular Potts Model (CPM). In particular, we exploit the computational power of Graphic Process Units in CUDA environment to address main low-level kernels involved. The volume of passenger and freight transportation in railways has been steadily increasing year by year. To meet growing demands and improve transportation efficiency, it is desirable to operate as many trains as possible within stations with limited infrastructure capacity. The train dispatching command system is a key equipment in improving transportation efficiency while ensuring safety. This paper proposes using Colored Petri Nets (CPNs) to model the train dispatching command system for evaluating and analyzing the efficiency of route establishment and track utilization within the station yard under different scenarios. The results indicate that the Through Route Priority scheme is suitable for station systems requiring high reliability and low latency. The Adaptive Allocation scheme, by dynamically adjusting route priorities, can enhance overall efficiency. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.

We report a novel hybrid neural interface device that not only enables simultaneous application of electrical and optical stimuli but also offers electrophysiological recording capability. A 6×6 silicon dual microneedle electrode array was fabricated and each pair consisted of recording and stimulating electrodes. A mini-LED matrix was also integrated underneath the electrode array to deliver optical stimulation. Spiking activities of retinal ganglion cells of an ex-vivo retina were successfully recorded in response to electrical and optical stimuli applied from the fabricated device. © 2025 IEEE.
