Phishing scams are frequently used by malicious actors to get login credentials from unsuspecting users. One method for detecting phishing is machine learning. Despite the fact that the accuracy of machine learning algorithms is mostly determined by the training data, there isn't much easily accessible attack data. We present a method for enhancing the datasets used by machine learning algorithms. We create samples that resemble phishing websites using an Adversarial Auto Encoder (AAE) and offer metrics to judge the effectiveness of the samples. We compare these samples to models created from actual data. Some of the created samples could be impossible for the current model to recognize. After that, training is done with the remaining samples. Improved levels of accuracy and reliability are provided by the upgraded machine learning models. In other words, phishing detection is improved during model construction by merging data from real phishing sites with AAE fake data. © 2023 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly surfacing that spans all spheres of life. However, IoT devices are less secure due to limited computational capabilities, making them easy for malware for various attacks. Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks focused on the Internet of Things are among the most devastating attacks that have gained attention as the number of intelligent devices is ever increasing. Several security protocols and defensive solutions have been developed to improve the security scenario in IoT networks, the frameworks are tightly coupled. The heterogeneity of network traffic is frequently increasing, making it challenging to keep the defense solutions updated for zero-day attacks. Additionally, the tight coupling makes scaling, upgrading, and migrating defense systems challenging. The state-of-the-art solutions cannot address the increased need for on-demand services and security concerns inherent in today's Internet. This article presented a novel service-oriented architecture (SOA) for security frameworks that can be supplied to tenants and customers of tenants to mitigate these attacks. The objective of service-oriented architecture is to organise application components into a system of loosely connected services in order to build adaptable, dynamical operational procedures and adaptable applications that transcends enterprises and computing systems. The proposed Security conceptual paradigm SOA employs an SDN-based security mechanism to detect and mitigate DDoS attacks that occur in IoT computer networks. As interfaces to services for defensive systems, programming networks enable the implementation of security. © 2023 IEEE.

Anomalous traffic detection in the network is one of the essential components of network security protection. Neural networks are widely used in intrusion detection systems, which can learn the ability to distinguish between regular and attack traffic in the network through training. However, most of the existing methods do unimodal anomaly detection on temporal features. Based on this, our paper proposes a hybrid anomaly detection model based on Auto-Encoder, which uses Damped Incremental Statistics to extract features from the data to obtain Time-domain features, then uses Discrete Wavelet Transform to obtain Frequency-domain features of corresponding dimensions using two sets of Auto-Encoders to generate the RMSE in two modules and weighted sum to get the final RMSE value. The anomaly detection problem is transformed into a refactoring problem of the time series in two spaces. The classification algorithm compares the anomaly with the threshold value, thus determining whether it is an attacking traffic. The experimental results in UNSW-NB15, IDS2017, and IDS2018 datasets show that the method in paper is better than the traditional unimodal anomaly detection method, which improves 8.11% and 7.31% in Precision and Recall, respectively, and the Precision can be up to 99.99%, which proves the validity of the method in our paper. © 2024 SPIE.

Our goal is to create a cuttingedge tool that unifies several functions onto a single, approachable platform, revolutionizing medical treatment. The goal of this ground-breaking solution is to improve patient care while also vastly bettering the state of healthcare as a whole. In our strategy, mobility, use, and convenience are given priority. By easing the strain on patients and caregivers, we want to increase patients' adherence to recommended therapies and, as a result, improve health outcomes. By integrating a cutting-edge cartridge system, we simplify drug management while lowering waste and promoting environmentally friendly medical procedures. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a ransomware payment transactions repository, RansomCoin, and showcases the pattern analysis to understand the behaviour of ransomware attackers' money laundering tactics. The surge in ransomware attacks globally is an exciting research challenge and needs a sustainable solution. In this work, we created a bitcoin transaction dataset related to ransomware. In particular, we have focused on Qlocker, Medusa-Locker, BitPaymer, DarkSide, and Netwalker ransomware attacks to create an automation process that extracts data associated with these attacks from the blockchain. The automation details are publicly available via GitHub. The RansomCoin dataset will help law enforcement agencies trace the transaction and analyse the bitcoin movements in the blockchain. The dataset contains suspicious/normal flags, which can help focus on the wallet address flagged as suspicious. The k-NN algorithm from the family of anomaly detection techniques performs better in identifying suspicious transactions. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes an improved RRT algorithm based on the cellular decomposition method. In the constructed two-dimensional plane, the space is decomposed into traversable regions and obstacle regions. Subsequently, based on the relationships between adjacent regions, random sampling points are constrained within neighboring regions until expansion reaches the region containing the target node. The planned route is then optimized to effectively address the issue of excessive turning points. Simulation results demonstrate that the improved RRT algorithm enhances path planning accuracy and efficiency in the application of two-dimensional mobile robot navigation, reducing travel distances and lowering cost consumption. © 2024 SPIE · 0277-786X.

Fish aquaculture is an essential sector of the economy;it has seen rapid expansion in recent years. It can be challenging to manage a fish farm, though, as it demands continual attention to environmental parameters like water quality and temperature. In this study, we offer a monitoring system for fish farms that leverages IoT technology to gather and process data from sensors placed inside a fish farm. When any parameters are outside the specified range, the system notifies the farmer and provides real-time monitoring of water quality, temperature, and other environmental conditions. The method comprises a network of wireless sensors connected to a central computer and installed across the fish farm. The server gathers and analyses the sensor data before giving the farmer real-time access via a web-based interface. The fish farmer can utilize this interface to keep an eye on the fish farm's water quality and temperature as well as to change the feeding schedule and other environmental factors as needed. The system has undergone testing in a commercial fish farm, and the outcomes indicate that it successfully keeps track of the environmental conditions there. The technology can increase fish farming's productivity and profitability while minimizing its adverse environmental effects. © 2023 IEEE.

As the Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the way we live and interact with the world around us, the need for a fully automated home is greater than ever. Home automation allows for the control of electronic devices in your home through the internet, eliminating the need for manual intervention, which makes life much more convenient. In this paper, we present a model for implementing home automation (controlling and monitoring remotely). We also incorporate sensors based on the specific automation needs and utilize the YOLO algorithm to increase efficiency by suggesting the best usage schedule based on user patterns. Our proposed approach for intelligent home automation integrates the YOLO object detection algorithm, which is capable of accurately identifying and locating objects in images and videos, with IoT devices. By using YOLO to detect human presence, we can automate tasks such as turning off lights when no one is in the room, adjusting the thermostat based on occupancy and activating security measures when an unauthorized person is detected. We evaluate the performance of our system using a dataset of human images and demonstrate its high accuracy in detecting and classifying human presence. Our results show that the proposed approach has the potential to greatly enhance the efficiency and convenience of home automation. © 2023 IEEE.

The OpenFlow protocol facilitates the communication between the control and forwarding planes within a software-defined networking (SDN) framework. In SDN, the control plane is housed in a distinct entity known as the OpenFlow controller, which assumes the responsibility of making high-level determinations regarding the forwarding of network traffic. With the OpenFlow controller, network administrators can centrally program and manage network behavior, incorporating functionalities like traffic engineering, load balancing, QoS enforcement, security policies, and more. By segregating the control plane from the data plane, SDN utilizing OpenFlow empowers flexible network management, automation, and programmability. Through the utilization of the OpenFlow protocol, the OpenFlow controller interacts with the forwarding plane, typically implemented in network switches or routers. This approach offers a centralized perspective of the network and grants dynamic control over the behavior of network devices by installing flow entries into their forwarding tables. In this research, we use a single-controller N-policy finite buffer waiting queue model to investigate the system performance metrics. Numerical examples and different indices are presented to illustrate the proposed model. © 2023 IEEE.
