Fault detection of missing insulator is critical to maintain the reliability, safety, and electrical performance of transmission lines. However, current methods generally have low accuracy and poor robustness for the images with complex background. Additionally, these methods require some shallow features and are unable to detect multiple faults. In this paper, we propose a method for fault detection of missing insulator based on deep learning. First of all, aerial images captured by unmanned aerial vehicles are collected and turned into the detection dataset using data augmentation. Secondly, an optimized network model is proposed for obtaining the locations of missing insulator faults with high accuracy. Eventually, the dataset is entered into the ultimate optimal network model for training and validation. Experimental results on the dataset with data augmentation indicate that our proposed method is more accurate than current methods for detecting missing insulator faults. © 2023 IEEE.

Twisted String Actuator (TSA) is an innovative artificial muscle that converts the rotary motion of an electric motor into linear motion of a load. TSA exhibits great potential for soft robots and robotic exoskeletons due to its high transmission ratio, simple structure, intrinsic compliance, and low cost. However, the actual dynamic behavior of TSA is greatly influenced by varying load conditions, making it challenging to accurately predict its behavior under different loads. This study addresses this issue by proposing a variable load model for TSA based on the backpropagation (BP) neural network. By training the neural network using extensive experimental data, we establish and validate the model against various load conditions. The proposed model outperforms conventional variable load mathematical models, offering smaller prediction errors and more accurate descriptions of TSA behavior under different load conditions. This finding has important implications for system design and control of TSA. © 2023 IEEE.

Network slicing is a key feature of 5G that allows for the creation and running of multiple virtual networks, known as 'slices,' on shared infrastructure. These slices can be customized for specific applications and requirements, and offer greater flexibility than previous network technologies. Additionally, the use of network slicing can generate new revenue opportunities through automation, leading to profitable growth at a large scale. This paper understudied the processes involved in achieving this and thereby proposed a sequence of procedures that will seamlessly realise this, the work first considered Slice Network based on the Business request of the industry vertical, then the aggregation of intent based on the request, thereafter assign slice based on the business request, next a check is carried out if the Network policies are met, the RAN-Slicing is employed, finally, it deploys Network Orchestration, which manages, monitor and grants End-to-End Access, this sequence will help network operators in reducing expenses (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX). The use of this technology will greatly increase operational efficiency and speed up the rolling out of 5G network services. It will also enable operators to offer a range of new services to customers using the same physical network infrastructure. © 2023 IEEE.

Through an online discussion platform, our work on the Healthcare Prediction System addresses this particular issue by offering health support to the general public. The system is loaded with information about multitudinous conditions, ails, and symptoms that was gathered from dependable sources. When a stoner registers on the website, they're given the option to partake their symptoms and problems. Grounded on this information, the system evaluates the data using the applicable models and estimates the disease that the case's symptoms are most likely to be related to. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a new scheduling model is presented to speed up the logistics processing in an automatic cube storage warehouse. Automated guided vehicles (AGV) are used to move all items in the warehouse according to the computer's instructions. The tasks to be performed by the AGV are optimally distributed using Genetic Algorithms (GA). The goal of our research is to optimize order scheduling in automatic warehouses to reduce human resources and lower the cost of logistics. The proposed GA's fitness function reflects removing the stacked bin, a cube storage warehouse characteristic, and getting the designated bin. Through extensive computer simulations, it is shown that the higher the generation of the GA we design, the lower the logistics processing time. As compared with other meta-heuristic optimization algorithms, our proposed GA algorithm demonstrates a maximum of 21% reduction in delivery time. © 2023 IEEE.

Virtual Laboratory provides flexibility and reduces the cost of traditional laboratory, integration of Augmented Reality in a virtual laboratory in the chance for aviation engineering learning such as Radar training. This study's purpose is to develop a virtual laboratory augmented reality-based to support radar training, by using prototyping dan the RAD method of the Radar Engineering Immersive Laboratory (REIL) built related to the international Civil Aviation Organization competency-based education framework. The architecture consists of a Learning Management System, Virtual Laboratory activity, and troubleshooting. The result shows the dynamic 3D depiction of each stage of the learning process in the REIL program ensuring student learning enjoyment and ease. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper focuses on the field of emotional interaction, specifically using text data to evaluate expressed emotions. It aims to assess the emotional state of humans in order to determine how robots should adjust their behavior. To detect emotions in text data, various methods and algorithms can be utilized. In this study, the authors combine dictionary methods with machine learning algorithms for emotion detection. However, emotion labels are often vague and subjective, leading to a multi-label problem. To address this, the paper conducts experiments using naive Bayes, support vector machine, and neural network classifiers. Although the accuracy of emotion classification is low, the study demonstrates the importance of specific words in expressing emotions. © 2023 SPIE.

The development of new drugs is costly, time-consuming, and high-risk. Drug repurposing is a strategy that can avoid the expensive and lengthy drug development process. To achieve effective drug repurposing, understanding which proteins are targets of which drugs is a crucial issue. Predicting drug-target affinity using computational models can accelerate drug repurposing. However, many existing computational models represent drugs as strings, which are not the optimal representation of molecules. In GraphDTA, the SMILES encoding of molecules is converted into a two-dimensional molecular graph, and a graph neural network is used to better learn the features of molecules. This article improves the GraphDTA model and proposes two methods to further enhance the model's performance. Firstly, a multi-scale feature fusion mechanism is introduced in the GIN model, which can better capture the structural information and chemical features of molecules, improving the accuracy of the model. Secondly, we propose a method that combines GIN and GAT. By concatenating the GIN and GAT models, a more comprehensive and accurate graph representation can be obtained, improving the model's predictive performance. The model is evaluated using the Davis dataset, and the results show that the proposed model outperforms the original model, demonstrating the effectiveness of this method and its potential for a wide range of applications. © 2023 IEEE.

The purpose of this article is to analyze what it is going on nowadays in fuzzy methods of multi-objective optimization, as well as the development of aggregation operators and algorithms that use fuzzy multi-criteria group decision making using the intuitionistic relation of linguistic preferences. Most real optimization problems can have conflicting goals. Fuzzy logic methods are particularly suitable for making evacuation decisions when there is little data, knowledge of cause-and-effect relationships is inaccurate, and observations and criteria both could be presented in linguistic terms. The main stages of group adoption of the best decision among alternatives in a fuzzy environment are presented. A group decision-making model and linguistic variables used in emergency forecasting and evacuation planning are considered. It is noted that the well-known operators of ordered weighted averaging do not consider the weights of experts. An operator is defined that allows considering the weight values of experts, as well as an approach to determining a fuzzy group decision as a set of type 2. Algorithms for determining a fuzzy group multicriteria decision are presented. © 2023 IEEE.

The growing interest in microprofile measurements for advanced semiconductor manufacturing and electronic glass screens has stimulated the demand for in situ dynamic white-light interferometry. However, it is challenging to perform vibration-insensitive measurements because of the broad-spectrum interference. In this article, we report a dual-wavelength phase-tilting iteration (DPTI) algorithm and local time-shifting (LTS) least squares algorithm for dual-channel dynamic white-light interferometry to extract the vibration information and recover the tested profile, respectively. The numerical simulations and comparative experiments were conducted and have shown high accuracy and reliability of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.
